It’s amazing how Paramount was able to make 8 of these things within 10 years, and now we can’t even get 1 in 15 years. This entire thing is ridiculous.
It was a different time, but yeah it is crazy to think Paramount turned a new F13 almost yearly and it's been 15 years now since the last movie. The "business" part of show business is a B****!
@@pizowell clearly there are just too many cooks in the kitchen now. Back then, Paramount would hire someone to go make a movie and they did. Now you have Sean and his company, Victor and his people, Warner/New Line, and Peacock and A24 (with the show). There are way too many cooks in the kitchen and they are all ruining our Voorhees burger and side of Jason fingers. 😞
What a mess. A TV series sounded like a bad idea to me, and for a single episode to cost that much seems nuts. I wonder what Never Hike Alone or In a Violent Nature cost to make, and they did the simple concept well. So much bad overthinking & now overspending.
Agree and I just can’t envision what they meant by “deconstructing” the first 4 F13th movies .. what are they planning on changing? A season per episode?
I won't loose any sleep over this. I hate modern horror TV series. They start out interesting, but then it just becomes boring soap operas of them all.
Yeah I'm thrilled with the news tbh especially since I don't want a "modern or even worse fake retro A24 version of the show that comes off like stranger things. Just give us a slasher with Jason killing people in the mask. No need to fuck with the program lol

If they can make Terrifier 2 the way they did, there is no reason why they can’t make a Friday the 13th the same way.
When you really think about it, Terrifier 2 really was a Friday the 13th movie on steroids. Basically, it was Friday the 13th Part VII without censorship.
yeah its ineptitude, too many ppl trying to control the tv show direction, and each episode shouldnt cost more than 5 million, they need to make one episode first so they can see if they have what they want in a tv show and if they do then order the rest of the season and at the same cost, they seem more worried about how to spend money instead of making a watchable, enjoyable, interesting tv show

Chucky lends himself to a TV show, being a spiritual force in a doll, etc. Perhaps Freddy. They can use the spiritual forces in the storyline and go into different directions with the characters on the canvas of their story.
Not Jason and Michael. Leave them for the films.

On the subject of the Vinegar Syndrome order, I haven’t received mine either. I’ve seen many other UA-camrs have there’s in hand for weeks now. Kindof pissing me off how they go about how the prioritize some over others. With it almost coming to a month, I don’t get it.
They do take their time when it comes to shipping after a big sale, but I've never waited this long for an order.

i hope the Halloween series falls apart and doesnt happen. already expecting them to ruin the characters and epsecially Michael myers by trying to explain too much about why he is Evil. We Dont need to know why he is Evil. We dont need to go back to 1978 and try to explain Laurie strode and Dr loomis. LEAVE 1978 HALLOWEEN ALONE! ENOUGH!! Now... If you want to continue the Story after Halloween 4... lets hear a treatment for it. im all ears.
That’s the problem with Michael Myers - the more you explain his background and notice the less scary he is. Rob zombie did a great job at completely destroying the mystique behind Michael
This is very clearly a case of 2 companies trying to cook the books and unable to make it work out. F13 is too much of a cash cow to the suits and they just want to pillage the fanbase. Productions of films and TV have done this shenanigans for far too long. Tremendously high budgets that are stacked with money laundering gimmicks so they can never show a profit, so they can keep it all for themselves. $85 million for this series is like believing the new Indiana Jones movie cost almost $400 million ... uh, yeah right. We're going to see the looney number of half a Billion for a movie soon - you just watch. Again... 'cooking the books' folks, it's very very real.
