Several things: Contracts & Trade: Have a front-man alt, never use the toon that's hauling. NEVA! - The cargo for courier CAN be traded to another to haul, it's not bound to you, it just needs to get there, somehow. Freighter: Never fly solo, always have a web monkey with you. His/her jump aggression CD WILL be done long before you arrive/jump next system! Cruor + 2x Fed webs = 25km insta-warp freighter! O.o Cloaky Hauler: Cloak is your friend, even if they cannot see what you have, they'll assume something 'fun'. Deepspace: Same as freighter, these pups move very, very slowly. Also more stabs 4tw! Basically if in hi-sec and pointed assume they have the DPS to down 250k eHP. . . Also.. for all ships mentioned.. DON'T FLY ON AUTO! Can't stomach it? don't fly it. ;) Fly safe! Hazzah!
While I find the idea of earning ISK through hauling very appealing, most if not all the contracts seem to be gank bait. Risking your ship and what's usually an absurd collateral for a 5mil payout feels like a scam. You might as well be mining ore in high sec at that point.
It's because the pay out for hauling contracts tend to be crap. You have to place a lot of isk up in collateral as well. One mistake... Will cost you the collateral as well as your ship. Most of your more profitable contracts would come from larger alliances, except they have their own hauling services... All in all, I would never try to make a profit with hauling. It's a useful skill to have... But it won't make you money.
If you are going to haul into unsafe systems use a scout. If scout die you lose a very cheap ship. Even better train your scout for scanning and try and use wormholes to get around. Undock with the scout 1st. If you die find something else to do with one of your alts. Wait till it is safe for the hauler to undock. Or try and create an insta jump from station with the scout. If you are being chased don't take a predictable route, or just get to a safe spot log off come back in a few hours the chaser will have gone off to do something else. Or a fun thing to do is cloak in a safe spot and leave it running the chaser will try and find you when you are AFK for a few hours. Lots of safe ways to play eve, use other players experience and look before you leap.
Many thanks for your awesome details you provided in this video, even were i am playing eve now for several years i wasnt aware that blockade runner can not be scanned...Important information. Many thanks...
Thanks for the informative video. I've always wanted to do Eve but its a bit too daunting for me to learn and I'm always multi-tasking stuff online to keep up. I did signup some 8 yrs ago and created my character, but life got too busy for me to play it.
Thank you markee, for all of your videos you really make good quality and informative content, don't worry about any haters you may get just know your one of the best youtubers I have ever watched :)
I just saw this, its quite an old video. Good presentation though! I hauled for Red Frog for quite some time. Used the Nomad mostly, because it aligns quicker than the other freighters and is faster. CODE tried to gank me in Uedema a couple times, but everytime a Mach made a run to bump me, I cut thrust and clicked the gate I just came in to "approach". So he never got me away from the gate. As soon as I was aligned to an off-tangent waypoint, or close to it, I waited for a bump, and hit jump. Always got away, and then resumed my route. I also played a second box with a webber alt, who would web me the second I appeared, putting me into instant warp before the Mach could even hardly target me. That alt got killed once, but it was no big loss, and the attacking ships got decimated by Concord. All my freighter alts were maxed out, and could carry a lot more than I ever wanted to carry.
Hauling has always been an iffy career path in EVE. Most contracts are outrageous scams or completely unreasonable. Distribution missions for NPC corporations are usually a bummer for income, as well. I'd only recommend doing this if you genuinely find it fun because there are plenty better ways to make isk.
Damn this is OLD!! I clearly missed many years of this wonderful game. Says this game came out in 2003!? i never knew that either, that would of been my senior year in HS.
Nice video very informative. So if the volume of items is very low couldn't you use something like in interceptor, covert ops or a battleship to be safer?
I really recommend not moving anything in the larger T1 industrials. They're far too fragile. The smaller, tankier T1 industrials can be tanked to be tough enough to surprise the gankers and survive the attempt. I have definitely had gank attempts on contracts smaller than 2B. In one case they had two that were roughly 500m each but starting and ending in similar locations. The disadvantage with being unscannable is that often it makes you a lottery ticket the gankers are willing to gamble on. However, fast warp-out time and cov ops cloak along with enough tank to survive most smart bombs make the BR's very tough to stop in hi-sec if they're being actively piloted. If I was going to run a 700m 5m3 contract, I'd actually use a travelceptor.
Woah. You were one of the first youtubers I ever watched back in the day!! Instantly recognized your face, but wasn't subscribed. Hello again! And it's cool to see you're playing EVE now! Where can I apply to your corporation in EVE? I'm pretty new still, but I've been playing WoW for ages and have a lot of experience with MMOs. I'll help with whatever your corp needs!
Broke My Crayon have to live outside highsec to really get it, most of us non-hs players freak when we go to hs since we only see blue and green squares next to everyone but the "bad" guys names
Louis Rushano null depends on what corp/alliance you're in. I've been in a small corp and "our territory" was permanently camped by cloaky cyno ships for several months, couldn't safely move even between our own systems not to mention kill rats
You guys made yourself a target and got the axe, welcome to the deep end. Connections are what make or break corps/alliances out here you don't make them you die...its as simple as that.
What do you think of a Dramiel with enertal stabilizers or even a Yacht ( can survive smartbombs) fitted for align time under 2 seconds for low m³ high value hauls in Highsec? Should be the safest way to transport BPO's, no?
BratSimpson I have never hauled for contract money- but when I have had to move BPO's from somewhere in high sec for a corpmate- since its volume was so low, I thought about using a really fast inty then I changed my mind and chose to either go max tank vulture or max tank damnation...Figured jumping gate to gate without autopilot and an absurd tank- I would not have to have too much worry about ganks. thoughts?
Would love a video on the flip flop of this about how to hire people to deliver stuff for you and be respectful without risking the bank. I want to start regional trading but using other people to deliver
What you said at around 6 minutes is absolute crap. As a very active suicide ganker I can tell you that Blockade Runners are ganked all the time, most tornado gankers have around 1.5k scan res with an alt sensor boosting, and we actively hunt for BR's as they have a 50/50 chance of real good shit usually. Also, the killboard on shooting a Viator is always positive for 1 nado ganker, even if its an empty BR.
On the one scammer in Jita there was an officer's item (around 30:00). Are they hoping that you assume that they'll give you that same cargo or that it's not worth that much?
Here from 2020, holy crap you've done some sigificant upgrades to your streaming setup since this! :) You're using the same microphone right? What would you say were your upgrades to get your current audio quality? (you have more of a broadcast vibe to your latest videos/streams)
This is why i dont haul i spend that time mining when im not missioning. Though i got freights to haul my own stuff i worry about getting popped when i haul my stuff to Jita even from 5-9 jumps away.
I would, but a t2 frig is not out of place in null sec. It's not like it's a pirate faction frigate. You would have to be VERY bored and have a way to run down the fastest warping ship in the game, or set up an ambush a ship that can't be bubbled to try and catch an inty that may or may not be carrying dead space loot. And in the case you do get caught, personally I'd rather be able to put up the best fight I can.
just a question from a total beginner: if I get attacked in a hauler in a highsec area by pirates willing to sacrifice a ship, but a Buddy is at my side in a warship as an escort and he interferes to keep the rats away from me, would concord still destroy him?
well, I have to say the isk/hour for hauling is low. The most difficult and time consuming thing is to find a juice deal and avoid the scam. But if you want to earn something while afk with hauling, you can farm faction standing. Do lots level 4 distribution missions. With high faction stand or NPC corp stand, you pay less tax, especially when refine ore. And I was able to setup POS on high sec with 0.6 security. 0.5 is usually is full.
Old video but I just wanted to say that I can't find any good contract for running. It's either a contract that pays 300k per jump and 2 billion isk of collateral, or something I can't carry in a t2 hauler.
I've done that several times... I have an alt in jita that I keep 5b on at all times.. I surf contracts for underpiced contracts and fail them on purpose.. Its made me quite a bit of isk.
Wait, so if you don’t have enough isk to pay the collateral are you just unable to accept the haul, or will your bank account just go into the negatives?
Its the Haulers Channel now. Great video but some of those contracts were not at all scams and bounty means absolutely nothing. You yourself have a 200B bounty..
I am thinking about playing this game, but because it's subscription base and things are on a timer, I am planning everything out before I buy it and start my trial. I have learned I want to get into hauling and stuff, but I'm not sure where to start from when I first log in and get my first ship, any advise?
First thing you'll want to do is finish the basic flight school tutorial and then hop systems for the advanced training in industry and trade, two different teachers that you'll get sent to after flight school, finish all of their missions and get a few extra free ships plus some module money. (Do not buy modules in that system they will be overpriced hop a few systems over or to the nearest trade hub- like rens or hek, amarr, jita, dodixie, whichever is closest) And then you'll have a good idea from there if ya wanna pursue industry still. I'd recommend the course in advanced combat since you will get into fights eventually, but least this way you get a few extra ships- and always fully insure your fav ship specially if your gunna leave hisec space- .5 and higher security. Good luck! You'll probably mine and sell ore for the first month as easy income so train some industry and ore skills if not you'll do contracts and missions just beware as markee said- contract scams, good luck!!!!
+Tom Smith (The Watcher) Oh and if you can't afford to at least replace the hull and a couple modules, I recommend not flying dangerously if not at all until you have spare funds. Last thing you wanna do is lose ur ships and have to mine in a rookie ship until you can get a new one. (granted you can always redo career agent missions for free ships i believe so if that happens just do those, screw mining in a rookieship) Also never beg for money, itll ruin your reputation real quick in a trade hub, find a corp with people who use their mics and takeover the universe!
I was hauling goods to jita, worth 300 mil isk. 7 jumps out, When CODE found me. I lost it all. But after speaking to them I ended up joining their ganking squad. Made some money back
I'm close to getting into a Obelisk but I fail to see the reward... Huge amount of risk I see. Think better for your own logistics. Today but very informative.
Well, I'm sure he knows that. Making a video kinda distracts you, you know. Let me explain... Do you know the moment you think about the right thing, but something wrong comes out? (Or some words that no one can translate into any language in the world) I think this was such a moment.
no, you cannot jump in high sec for more of this and the risk for jumps is cyno fields either you have a good friend to hit the field or your multi boxing which can be just as dangerous.
***** This I didnt know- but to be honest, I dont know much about the bots- I just assumed CCP would narrow down who was using them and kick them if they used them for any duration. Hell, I saw hackers with Angelina Jolie- they should be able to get these guys in like 15 minutes...j/k
The mechanic of allowing players to put up courier contracts then forbid docking is stupid. How in the hell is that not an exploit!? It just seems to make it unfairly easy for scammers. Just my 0.02 isk.
I live in Nullsec and I make millions daily just from ratting. Occasionally when neuts come into my corps armada space, we'll destroy something worth hundreds of millions and split the kill. Make millions only flying a T1 Frigate. And if I lose it, who cares. It's only worth 10 million at max even with T2 fittings. Hauling just seems to generic for my playstyle. I'm trained up into TIII Tact destroyers that I save for either a rainy day or big battles. My Jackdaw is worth around 600 million. The high likely risk of ISK loss I take is voluntary, but can be regained after about a week or so. And the experience of being a huge corp wars is the best. I have 4 of them docked just waiting for opportunities.
hello. Train any race Industrial ship, Navigation skills (for ship agility and speed, etc...),, train your Market skills so to pay less taxes and brobers fee... they are hauling mission too by npc agents, and private player contracts....
He seems to be doing tutorial and guide type videos which aren't going to show the game much. You can watch his Twitch stream to "see" EVE Online or plenty of other UA-camrs.
uuuuhhhgggg the uslesss Ness of the info I just wanna find a vedeos that tells me how to package the item delivered the item and complete the contract WHY IS THST SOOO HARD TO FIND
Marcus, I don't mean to be a pain, but could you send me a message on Messenger, and don't worry it is nothing that it shouldn't be, but I have a few things I want to tell you, just don''t want it open for everyone to see. Thanks.
to be honest, it had been a while for me in eve, but video was boring as hell. you can make more money station trading. this is a waste of time. and nobody uses ecm bursts on a ships with sig radius size of a house. its a waste of a slot specially in conjunction mwd.
lmao 10 million is nothing. I get that in 30 seconds doing level 4 missions, in fact some missions i make 80 million in 30 minutes. I was looking for something that could net me more but the numbers you are showing are laughable especially given the investment. From what i can tell from this video, doing missions with salvaging makes alot more isk alot faster especially including LP.
Several things:
Contracts & Trade: Have a front-man alt, never use the toon that's hauling. NEVA!
- The cargo for courier CAN be traded to another to haul, it's not bound to you, it just needs to get there, somehow.

Now i want to fill that non-scanable freighter full of exotic dancers and run around lowsec just to see people's reaction.
Do I need a beard like that for max profit hauling stuff?
Kevin Colt clearly yes
I think he grew that beard to show how long he's been at it.
Honestly, you need a beard. Period. All the cool kids have one.
its really about this ua-cam.com/video/J-ZYzvD1rJ8/v-deo.html
Takes 12 months training !! lol
Many thanks for your awesome details you provided in this video, even were i am playing eve now for several years i wasnt aware that blockade runner can not be scanned...Important information. Many thanks...
Im too lazy to use alts, but i keep a packaged shuttle in my freighter. If I have to go through Low-sec i use that to peek.
Alex Pratt good idea
Alex Pratt I do same thing, I actually keep three.
I know this post is old, but thankyou, have a LOT or ore to move and now know how
Thanks for doing this project Markee!
I just saw this, its quite an old video. Good presentation though!

Great info! I thought I was doing good hauling rocks for 3 mil per run... Time to up my game :)
I once used Red Frog Freight and I put the collateral 110% of the est. value of the items.
I think that's a reasonable price.
"so in the contracts here" - bummer, was watching the video to see where the hell they hide that menu.
Top left, looks like an E -> Business -> Contracts
Great question & someone answered it. Thanks.
Thanks a lot for your videos, I have watched a bunch of them and learning a tone.
Really appreciate it..
Definately interceptor that can take a few smartbombs and have below 2 sec align time.
Even as a noob I have done this is low sec in a Viator and never popped so with his additional advice should be fine.
All of the fittings get popped by a tornado or two without problems. Except the obi, of course.
I really recommend not moving anything in the larger T1 industrials. They're far too fragile. Stop responding to my post. Sick these fing e-mails
Took me a while to realise "m3" meant cubic metres (I'm assuming cargo capacity is not measured in sporty BMWs in this game).
What do you think of a Dramiel with enertal stabilizers or even a Yacht ( can survive smartbombs) fitted for align time under 2 seconds for low m³ high value hauls in Highsec? Should be the safest way to transport BPO's, no?
Blockade runners get popped all the time. Lost one at jita a few days back. The only way to haul is freighter with Reinforced Bulkhead IIs.
BratSimpson I have never hauled for contract money- but when I have had to move BPO's from somewhere in high sec for a corpmate- since its volume was so low, I thought about using a really fast inty then I changed my mind and chose to either go max tank vulture or max tank damnation...Figured jumping gate to gate without autopilot and an absurd tank- I would not have to have too much worry about ganks. thoughts?

Dude your content is fantastic!
jump freighters now are about 7.5b-8.2b
today there are ways to safely get stuff into nullsec, but you'll be spending alot of time to set it up and to actually get through.
Super informative video! Thanks
Also, the killboard on shooting a Viator is always positive for 1 nado ganker, even if its an empty BR.

if you have a 5m3 haul, just use an interceptor. the fastest warping ship in the game, and its immune to warp bubbles ( if you have to go through 0.0)
Aaron Lagermann no real need. just fit a frig with nanofiber.
When you're flying 10x the value of your ship in cargo, it's best not to spare any expense
Aaron Lagermann expensive ships sure draw attention by itself. Wouldn't you agree?
I would, but a t2 frig is not out of place in null sec. It's not like it's a pirate faction frigate. You would have to be VERY bored and have a way to run down the fastest warping ship in the game, or set up an ambush a ship that can't be bubbled to try and catch an inty that may or may not be carrying dead space loot. And in the case you do get caught, personally I'd rather be able to put up the best fight I can.
Aaron Lagermann Might as well use the luxury yacht. if you fear bubbles that much.
yeah i am going to be coming back and learning what i dont know from you :D
just a question from a total beginner: if I get attacked in a hauler in a highsec area by pirates willing to sacrifice a ship, but a Buddy is at my side in a warship as an escort and he interferes to keep the rats away from me, would concord still destroy him?
well, I have to say the isk/hour for hauling is low. The most difficult and time consuming thing is to find a juice deal and avoid the scam. Alternate Routes ... well then the Triglavian came -.-
Like this vid mate, informative and well presented,
Thank You for a good video!
Lol to me, a couple million is big money. XD
Hell I cant even put up the collateral on these things.
Its the Haulers Channel now. Great video but some of those contracts were not at all scams and bounty means absolutely nothing. You yourself have a 200B bounty..
Very very interesting! Thanks!
cool video markee
Jita is 0.9
which program do you use to record your shows? Like the video btw! :)
Loving your vids
if flying with expensive cargo couldnt you request escort ships from your corp or fleet to tag along increasing odds of survival?
+XLII if in high sec, it wouldn't matter, you'd be ganked in a couple of seconds...
cant you just use something with cloak for the small packages?
umm counter: over 9000, otherwise really good vid!
Looks like a cam shaft.

You are a hauler carebear
I like you and your videos.
I was hauling goods to jita, worth 300 mil isk. 7 jumps out, When CODE found me. I lost it all. But after speaking to them I ended up joining their ganking squad. Made some money back
xd
I'm close to getting into a Obelisk but I fail to see the reward... Huge amount of risk I see. Think better for your own logistics. Today but very informative.
Nice video about a not so covered topic.
Something wrong with the audio though, was a wierd sound to your voice.
do you have similar fits for amarr industrial?
Is the first ship shown an Iteron?
+TheArborphiliac basically yes, they've changed the names out apparently with one of the new updates.
Munky332 Cool, thanks.
Love ur vids
10m3 is 10 cubic meters
You don't say...
yes i say to the guy in the video 5:06
Well, I'm sure he knows that.
Making a video kinda distracts you, you know.
Let me explain...
Do you know the moment you think about the right thing, but something wrong comes out? (Or some words that no one can translate into any language in the world)
I think this was such a moment.
There is no way around Niarja or Ueadama that are not low sec.
Wouldn't a jf prevent these gank contracts?
no, you cannot jump in high sec for more of this and the risk for jumps is cyno fields either you have a good friend to hit the field or your multi boxing which can be just as dangerous.
space truckers! :D
Go Goons !!
cool
where you buying your JF there 6.9 bill up
Damn CODE goes back to 2012?
and now they are gone :)
If it's so high risk then shouldn't you have a few friends running Escort?
+Michael Moen When we do ganking it is all over in a couple of seconds, also he would need lots of friends to hold back a ganking fleet.
Is this still relevant? I don't see myself doing this having
markee dragon can you up date this guide for free eve alpha clone
Bots have warp to zero autopilot
***** This I didnt know- but to be honest, I dont know much about the bots- I just assumed CCP would narrow down who was using them and kick them if they used them for any duration. Hell, I saw hackers with Angelina Jolie- they should be able to get these guys in like 15 minutes...j/k
"Needle 4500"
Try over 8 billion for a JF
The mechanic of allowing players to put up courier contracts then forbid docking is stupid. How in the hell is that not an exploit!? It just seems to make it unfairly easy for scammers. Just my 0.02 isk.
wow billions.... that sucks v_v I'm only a week old and I lost my gila 290 mil with a 30 mil cargo of stuff I was bringing to amarr.
holy cow. Markee dragon. Do you still play UO?
You should update this video my dude. Still good info but some stuff has changed.
microwarp drive is super dangerous, if you have it on and they land a hit you might die instantly.
The to you were trying to use actually has two oo's.
Justin Waters You rat in null with a frigate?
why not just apply to redfrog or pushx, you make more money..
its good consistent money, but you can make great (sometimes more) money and great freedom just running contracts solo
Wow 5 years ago code was a problem and they’re still a problem today
99% of all courier contracts are scam and troll. I wonder why that feature is even existing in the game.
new to the game, how can I start hauling, what skills do I need to have trained,
hello. Train any race Industrial ship, Navigation skills (for ship agility and speed, etc...),, train your Market skills so to pay less taxes and brobers fee... they are hauling mission too by npc agents, and private player contracts....
Ffs I fell for a lock station scam
after all this time u still know nothing about eve online
He seems to be doing tutorial and guide type videos which aren't going to show the game much. You can watch his Twitch stream to "see" EVE Online or plenty of other UA-camrs.
Who do you lying ?
uuuuhhhgggg the uslesss Ness of the info I just wanna find a vedeos that tells me how to package the item delivered the item and complete the contract WHY IS THST SOOO HARD TO FIND
