Exactly. Leonard was being like Howard constantly talking about his trip to space. Just a slight correction: They couldn't wait until the next day. It was Thanksgiving, which is the start of a 4-day weekend. Which means that there was nothing they could do about it until Monday, so Leonard might as well have kept his mouth shut and enjoyed the holiday.

I know Zach is dumb, but he's probably my favorite 'occasionally recurring' character. He's really a sweet and loyal guy, probably the second best bf Penny ever had after Leonard. I liked him by the end of the series even more, but you'll have to wait for why.

Did Leonard go a bit to hard on her? Maybe. However put yourself in his shoes, he's been dating a women who has been legally married for who knows how long.
