The book is just recipes. In the first film when the book was stolen winnie says "we will have to make the potion from memory" then she tried but couldn't remember the ingredients so they needed to get their book back. Here the spell worked as she remembered the words after saying it so many times
Goes to show development , the house used to be surround by Woods. Now it’s in the middle of a neighborhood. It’s a cool relatable feature.
Yes, I think it was a nice touch. Apparently to you could also see Max and Dani’s house in the background of one of the festival scenes.
Bette Midler is just... So amazing as Winifred. I love Original and this one I am happy to add to my Halloween traditions. I hope there's a another sequel. You cannot have enough Sanderson Sister's singing.

I always loved the original Hocus Pocus so much that I never thought a sequel was necessary. However, I was still excited to check out Hocus Pocus 2 and pleasantly surprised. Was it the best? No. But was it fun? Yes! :)
I agree 100%! It’s also just so nice to see Bette Midler in this role again. Legend! 👏
That man is a killer and no one knows. He made not one but two black flame candles and said it wasn't pretty when saying the book taught him how to make it. In the original movie it was said the candle was made of the fat of a hangman. The two bullies when Hanging men at the end of the last movie. Trapped inside cages that where inside the Sanderson sister's house. And no one let them out. A house he currently lives in and found that night. What did he do to them bullies? And where they the same bullies who beat him up and stole his candy? We know they where doing that all night long
I don’t think the other witch is following them to protect them. I think she originally did the Magicae Maxima and that’s how she really lost her coven. I think she wants to be all powerful and I have a feeling the next movie will have her as the villain if they do it. And I think Becca will bring back the sisters to help defeat her. I think they’ll be “good” in the next film if it’s made.
Hmmm, I think you could be right. They did keep alluding to the bird with no real explanation in the end. I like this theory 😮
@@ChachiSays And even her eyes were glowing in the beginning of the film like Winnie’s were when she did the spell with her sisters. And how else did she know that Book didn’t like the spell unless she tried it herself. 😉
The power spell they had to say a certain number of times. Once they had said it a certain number of times they all became more powerful but once they said it the final time the sisters where sacrifice to make her all powerful. But in the end my question is what's up with that first witch?

This movie was never going to be the original, so I'm happy to see you enjoying the movie for what it is even as critics say it was a disappointment. Been watching hocus pocus since it first came out and I ADORED this movie. It truly was made with the fans in mind, as well as a whole new generation. Happy Halloween, everyone!! 🎃
I agree. It’s guaranteed disappointment if you’re going to compare it to the original. I really enjoyed this movie for what it was and I thought it was loads of fun 🍿
