Yeah, Jeff Lynne produced Shannon's "Rock On!" album during the Traveling Wilburys era. Shannon would have been a perfect replacement for Roy Orbison. I use the term "replacement" loosely, as no one could replace Orbison; however, Shannon had such a wonderful voice that suited the Jeff Lynne production style so well.
Around 1960 when I was in the 7th grade (jr high), our cafeteria had a jukebox of all things, and this song was played constantly. Every time I hear it, it takes me right back there.

This song is on the soundtrack of American Graffiti, I bought the double album for my mom for Christmas because it was the music of her youth. I was 11 when came out so it took a few Saturdays of mowing lawns to come up with the money but it was worth every penny.

Falsetto is achieved by two factors. The voice placement in more in the sinus cavity allowing the throat to relax, and the breath is supported from the pelvic floor. Virtually no work done in throat itself. I'm a singer myself, in case it wasn't obvious from my comment. LOL!

Cameo Records, having solvency problems, picked up the record after one of its staffers heard it on CKLW. The group recorded some more but they had no further commercial success. Regarding falsetto, "Stay" from that timeframe comes to mind. I had a cousin, Donnie, bless his soul, and that was his favorite song for awhile. He introduced me to it and Jackson Browne incorporates it into "The Load Out".

There a scene in there where I believe Roger McGuinn , of The Byrds, is working on a solo album and Petty shows up at the studio and gets pissed at the record guys because he thinks they're not giving McGuinn the respect he has earned and deserves. It's pretty cool.

@@Nhoj31neirbo47 Not short-shorts. Those went out in the very early 60s and came back as hot pants in the early 70s. Go-go dancers mostly wore miniskirts/dresses, especially the dresses with the fringes on them.
Historian212 -You’re right. I was thinking of hot pants. Ah yes, mini skirts. I remember my sisters and female classmates trying to see how high they could wear the hem of their skirt above their knees before getting chastised by a parent or teacher!
