I think they might need to have a few more generic lines of people expressing anger at their cars being tossed about. I'm not saying to have so many that the chance of hearing the same one again is minimal, but maybe just a couple more for variety? Otherwise like how many cars does that one person own? I know like it's supposed to be multiple different people but the one individual saying the line breaks the immersion of what I think they're trying to do there with ambience.
Like "Woah, Ey! That's my ride, you punk kid!"
Maybe
"Dude, I just got that thing insured!"
or
"I just bought that car!"
Maybe even a reference to that one silly line in that one Street Fighter game I think it was, like the "Oooooh mah car!" as like an easter egg or a rare line or something?

I'd say re-record that line from someone that sounds older. Sounds like a kid yelling out for his RC car getting run over or something lol.

I like how City Escape transitions to sunset as Sonic progresses through the stage.
Cool but sonic is too fast for that.
My favorite part of any sonic game is not being able to hear the music. Really brings a whole new level of fun.
It sucks they replaced Shadow's yellow blur with dark red. There was just something so diabolical about yellow despite being black and red.
I think it was bc he’s the opposite of sonic so instead of being red, he’s the inverted color of sonics blue, yellow orange like tails.
Honestly the red one is way better, the yellow one just makes him look like tails without his two tails and the red one just feels more shadow-like

yellow on Shadow has just always made sense to me tbh, like I've never even thought to question it even though it really DOESN'T make sense lol
I guess in defense of it, his air shoes and Chaos Spear are both yellow? so too are his inhibitor rings and Unhibited Shadow
"energy"-colored trails just make sense I guess, and for characters with less energy going on, trail-colored energy works too

Sa2 is too tight and responsive because you lightly tap the stick and suddenly sonic is in a random pit somewhere in the awful level design

The animations and models are really well done, make sure you let the mod devs know!
The models & animations are definitely the best part for me. I saw somewhere else (probably on Discord or something?) that Rouge has some of Batman's gliding-related animations, which just feels so fitting. & There was another one I saw where they even included a more detailed version of the animation for Amy spinning her hammer around (which comes from the Amy New Tricks mod by Sora &/or Kell I think!!)

Bro looks like is lower half wanted to spin the board but his upper half wanted to do the Nae Nae and they couldn't agree which to go with.
I disagree. Sonic looks stiffer than ever on that board, and when he does his flip he looks like he's in a car wreck.

The mod looks pretty great, the sound mixing could still really use some work though, there are lots of instances where background sounds are too in-your-face to the point where it shifts my focus as a viewer away from the main attraction (the playable characters) the music is also placed too far back to the point where the sound effects completely kill it. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

It would be cool if there was a version of this mod that kept all original voice lines for the characters
I like the part where Arthur Morgan and John Marston tell Sonic to get "Outta the damn way" XD (1:53) Not the crossover I expected, but the one we needed.
I'd love a version of this with absolutely zero audio changes. I feel that's one part of SA2 that doesn't need an overhaul, especially if it's this badly done (mainly the voice acting that is a mix of bad voice impressions and official voice lines).
I hope when this mod gets completed there's an audio toggle or at the very least a tutorial of what to delete.

Yep sound mixing needs work, can't hear the music at all, but the animations and textures are a nice change at least.
New voice lines and rven voice acting might have to go too though, maybe keep them as an optional addon to the mod for those who want it.

Agh, these 'Modern' mods always overload the game with unnecessary changes to the gameplay and music, and characters have lines from different voice actors. All you need to do is pretty up the game! Don't put a hat on a hat!
You can easily remove this kinda stuff in the files of the mod. The "pretty up the game" stuff you want has already happened by a bunch of other mods from a bunch of different people, and if you want that, feel free to use them.

I love how well animated Shadow skating animation is. That victory stance he does though 🤔… I dunnooooo.
Metal Harbor looks especially good with the new textures and islands, but they really have to do something about the water.

For this mod, I prefer the voice acting that was before, like Jason and the other voice actors whose names I don't remember haha
Same omg!! Jason Griffith for Sonic & Shadow, Lisa Ortiz for Amy... All the voice actors from the Sonic X era (Shadow 2005, Riders, Sonic 06, Unleashed etc), except for Tails having his current VA, Colleen O'Shaughnessy (who fun fact also voiced Tails in the Sonic 2 movie with James Marsden & Jim Carrey!!)
I hope there's a way to configure the settings to have all of those voice actors' voices enabled instead. But these ones are really cool too!! I just mostly prefer that set of voice actors.

Guys, Jason didn't voice Shadow and Sonic in Adventure 2. He was still only doing Sonic X at the time, but the actual game had Ryan Drummond as Sonic and David Humphrey as Shadow.

Nice looking mod, interesting move to increase sound effects, level extending is weird but nice a attempt at least. The character models are incredible and sonic’s bounce transition is beautiful. Low-fi music versions are not for me but they work.

Honestly I was expecting some "Nintendo hire this man" energy from this but this is AMAZINg, I'm blown away. Seems like what a remake would be like, I like the voices, I like the SFX, I like the music, but volume mixing is a must. Def something that can be done tho, I cant wait to see where this goes! Also hearing more pedestrian voice lines would be better in city escape lol

This is a really cool mod really looking forward to it. If you ever release it please make it modular though because I don't think everyone will really like the new sounds.
If you make the music louder and somehow add the drift mechanic from Generations, it's the definitive way to play SA2

The new voices being tossed out more sparingly, along with a few more people casting the lines instead of one being looped a lot would do a lot of good. Also as others have said, the 100 rings thing being live and learn, sonics new VA, and city escape being put in the backseat are all a bunch of really awkward changes that compromise the experience imo. Also, although I LOVE the new speed and animations of sonic, the levels were not designed with this speed in mind, controls should default to the regular SA2 physics and speed cap, either that or tone down the max speed a bit, or adjust the map to more appropriately respect sonics new speed. As it is now jumping off a ramp almost breaks the level.

Also, about the mod, I think they should have left the render distance alone, because when it got to the truck chase, the stage turned into an absolute eyesore.

Alongside the audio changes, the mod seems pretty good.
The pitter-patter of the feet kinda kills the immersion for me.
I like it, but it would probably sound a lot better if it was perhaps half as loud, or even maybe like 75% quieter. Like, enough so you can still hear it (at least if you listen closely), but not so much to the point where you hear it as loudly as the rings, spin dash, springs, item boxes, jump sound effect etc.
