In the scheme of Karakas , Ketu is never considered as the Maharishis have mentioned to exclude it.
They are in a reflective relationship perhaps?
Check the degrees of the dispositors . The one with the dispositor of the highest degree is probably the Atmakaraka
How can Ketu be the Atmakaraka? If I know it right, when people include Rahu and Ketu to this system they include Rahu. I didn't know they can also include the Ketu. But how can we detect someone's Atmakaraka is Rahu or Ketu as both of them in the same degree?

I never heard of Ketu Atmakaraka, but it's interesting....In which tradition is it also taken? And how do you know, if it is Rahu or Ketu, because they are on the same degree in their signs? Or do you work with houses that are not equal?

Wow!!!!! Rahu and Ketu are the same degrees. And Parasara says its the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus Saturn and some include Rahu. BPHS 32.1-2 Ranjan Publications or BPHS 34.1-2 Sagar Publications.
There is also many texts that I don't know. And Nadi texts is so vast.
39:00 I think rahu atmakaraka determine by minus its degree from 30'...actually it shows how much distance rahu travel in that sign....

Hi but in reality ak Rahu had drastic effect in our wealth (2nd) house of my husband also with ketu as both r of same degrees. All foreign lands, as he rightly said. Maybe the highs are pending but we saw the lows which we did not see it coming.

Everything u said about Mercury AK, is spot on. My daughter has this in her chart in 10th house in Libra, and she is super intelligent. Her professors back in college used to love the way she writes and speaks. Her explanation on things is so beautiful that everybody wants to listen to her speak. During an argument, she would never shout or lose her temper, but remains cool and ends up winning any argument easily ...😂.

agree ... despite venus atmakaraka, my mercury is in jyestha 9th house and trikona nakshatras are ruled by mercury ... the opponents end up shouting at me and at that point they are defeated.

Rahu and Ketu are 180 degrees apart. So if you substract the same amount from them, they are still 180 degrees apart. How do you determine if AK is Rahu or Ketu?

My heartfelt gratitude for this video but I would like to very humbly ask which ancient text are you referring to state Ketu as atmakarka? With my limited knowledge of astrology, I have been made to understand that Ketu is never included in the list of Jaimini karaka’s. Look forward to amtyakaraka and darkaraka series as well.

Since Rahu and Ketu have the same degrees, when you minus 15 degrees you wind up with both as the Atmakarka. Are both the two halves of the Atmakarka or do you choose one? How?

Moon AK here but it is debilitated. Often times when I help or be there for people it will be at my expense because sometimes they are toxic and bad and i would still feel guilty if I don't help

At 40:13 it has been told that when rahu and ketu are in 14 degree then minus 15 degree it will give 29 degree.. Simultaneously if any planet say sun is in 28 degree in the chart ..then which will be the aatmkarak sun being in 28 degree or rahu in 14 degree..

As a Venus atmakaraka I would completely agree about the balance. I’ve never heard that approach before but I highly agree and see it lived in my life. I am constantly battling my extremes and am happiest when balanced. When I was young I was very rajastic and extreme. I would indulge often and it had me ruined and depressed and at my very worst. Then I went the opposite and became nearly ascetic and it developed an eating disorder. Then I learned balance. And it’s been a life changer. Anytime I eat something not very nutritious , I make sure to eat very nourishing food the next day or two. Etc. it’s so true.

My atmakaraka is Venus 18:26. Venus is around 26 degrees of aquarius. Sun is my darakaraka. Sun is in the 1st degree of pisces. Both Venus and Sun are placed in the Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra. Can I consider a conjunction between Venus (AK) and Sun (AmK)?
I have the ascendant around 20 degrees of libra. Venus rules the 1st and the 8th houses. Venus is in the 5th house. Venus falls in Taurus Navamsa. I feel myself very balanced with venusian things.
My Saturn is retrograde in Libra (Vishaka) in 2H. It’s very close to the ascendant degree at 29:43. Everything is you said was pretty accurate minus the discipline. Is it bc I have Ketu (vishaka) and Pluto there? In Navamsa, Saturn goes to into Gemini (punavasu).

So, why not play stupid games, if it is fun? Or gossiping or making money? Logical and analytical mind can be used not only in serious activities. 🤔
from my observation and feeling it is very easy to see the atmakaraka of a person it shines out of them. If a male has moon as his atmakaraka he is gonna be soft, not a fighter/leader, but a follower ( it is not something he has to try for, it's his nature)

Lol why is he saying minus 15 for rahu? You just take 30 and subtract the degrees of rahu. That's your degree number.

i have scorpio moon AK conj ketu and evrything is correct except i dont struggle w self care or i dont prioritise taking care of others, on the contrary im usually the one being taken care of and tend to be quite selfish
If rahu is AK then Ketu is also AK too right! Cz they are of same degree. And when you calculate retrograde into degrees, the highest value comes down to same number for both as they are on the axis at same degree.

I wish the Pai team does a do-over wih the atmakaraka and darakaraka concepts with Dr Sanjay rath or someone with that kind of experience. This particular episode on atmakaraka and earlier one on darakaraka lacks real depth. For instance, venus as atmakaraka could have relationship karma to burn especially if placed in 7th house, and hence relationships can be painful. How is this not addressed?
Same here ma'am i have moon atmakaraka and it sitting in my 1st house. Around positive energy and nice people is so soo important. And its a challenge for me to take care of my self bcs i always put other first before me.
