    There are MANY women who would vehemently disagree with this doctor when she states an endometrial biopsy does not require analgesia, since it not a painful procedure.
    I am sure she is very smart doctor, but on this point she is clueless.

      Absolutely. I'm going in for one soon and every woman I've talked to (many) who's had a biopsy has said it was extremely painful and not to have one unless my doctor uses lidocaine.

      I'm never getting a blind biopsy...esp in office with only ibuprofen and gaslighting to help me!! These ppl are insane and I want to fly to Bali or something to escape westernized medicine

      What if you have endometrial hyperplasia, very unusual bleeding but are not menopausal but approaching - along with fibroids getting very dismissed & I have history of uterine/ovarian cancers in family

    • @strawberrygirl8572
      @strawberrygirl8572 8 місяців тому

      @@nicolastewart5751 you can definitely have unusual thickening even before meno, so make sure and see your gyn about that. You might need a vaginal ultrasound and possibly just help with hormone balancing.

    Yes, endometrial biopsy with no anesthesia is very painful and large fibroid made it difficult to obtain the correct tissue. Hysteroscopy under general anesthesia much easier and gave definitive results.

    I have to be honest that I had a biopsy in the office and I had no pain. I did bleed a lot and for most of the day.

    Having had an endometrial biopsy - I have to say it was extremely painful. It was awful. Don't mislead a patient by saying "you will feel a little pressure." This is a lie.

      I had a couple that weren't too bad so when others told how horrific theirs was, I was surprised. Fast forward to this week, after having tons of issues and going back for another ultrasound, my fibroids have grown and 1 is over 8 cm. I'm 11 years postmenopausal and have been on an anti estrogen medicine due to recurring breast cancer. So the doctor tried to do an endometrial biopsy but due to the large fibroid she had a hard time getting the tossue she needed. It was horrific pain and I got super dizzy. I've been through a lot of stuff and can normally deal with it, but this was over the top. So pathology couldn't even test for cancer as it was just endocervical gland pieces. I'm so frustrated. I can't get into other gyn for hysterectomy consult until late next month.

      Yes! it was horrible.. I nearly broke the stirrups.. and when he'd finished and tried to pull the speculum out.. I had clamped down so hard that he couldnt get it out.. just sat there yanking on it until i told him a bit loudly to leave me alone and get out of the room.. after a few mins I had calmed enough to take it out myself. horrible experience. thankfully I'll never have to go thru it again (bit of sarcasm) as im getting a hysterectomy bilateral salpingo oophorectomy because they decided I had cancer due to atypical cells found by my gyno a few months before. the endo biopsy revealed little.. which I guess is pretty common as most doctors dont get enough tissue to be tested properly from an aspiration biopsy. Ask for a D&C instead as it is much more accurate.. you will be under anesthesia for it but its better to have the information.

    I'm not a doctor/professor but I am a researcher. I can honestly say a few of the stats in this report based on ethnics is not exactly correct.
    To say that there is an increase of Spanish/black African with cancer on the rise. The professor failed to researched and announced, there are more Spanish/black African going to their doctors (which gives the statistics), where before the culture would have been back in the days try home remedies or they never go to their doctors due to cost and education of the disease, certainly would not have captured the correct findings for this report say 40 or 50 years ago because we didn't grab the stats, ALL ETHNICITIES in this new generation are now aware of the disease showing the increase of women regardless of their ethnicities coming forward due to the education, and because of this, your report would certainly capture the full findings of which ethnic groups going to their doctors about their problems would show the rise on the chart, and out of that report you can break it down to how many ethnicities etc.

    Doctor, it is NOT true that endometrial biopsy is an accurate test. Stop misleading women about this test, which is horribly painful.
