Love the way you do progression switching to SSF and back so we can see multiple angles and all the experimentation. I play on SSF but Chieftain is really looking like a strong option I might have to try out
Rf was NOT nerfed. Infact the reason you take rf is because you can build tanky and still have dps. And when doing that to 20k to 25k hp like rf should be the damage is sacred twice as high. When you dont know what you are doing and have 6k hp meme build sure it was "nerfed" a good rf from poeninja has double this dps and quadruple the effective hp.

Sweet just finished campaign, was going to follow your POB but a real build working is good to see. Hoping we get a full guided POB in par with other ascendancy options.
What about Brass Dome as a body armor choice ? - tons of armour, so more tanky against small and average phys hits - crit immunity - 4% extra max res (frees your annoint and a charm affix) Opportunity cost : - lose a bunch of life due to str losing its life scaling (might be very hurtful to that build, idk) - lose 50% fire res (again, that's big if you need it) - somehow makes it less tanky against big phys hits because of how armour works (would be interesting to calculate the breakpoint, if it's pinnacle boss range then it's not much of a loss)
i just got to mapping on the chieftain. only having to stack fire res and grab some chaos makes it so much easier. i always had a hell of a time getting gear with the res i needed to not die and still have enough damage. i swapped to malev, and boy oh boy,am i putting determ back on,lol. too soon for me. thank you for the build man.
Glad you found enjoyment on chieftain rf, may i suggest berek's respite to scale the clear to absolute map wide nukes. I got to level 100 last league thanks to that alone
what flask setup would i run if i had a mageblood? Like what rolls to have etc? Also ive heard that the "3% life regen during effect" on flasks doesnt work with mageblood since its not technically activated or something, is that true?

Not even close to end game but i can tell you this I been playing HC SSF for past 2 weeks and this is going to be the one lvl 20 and now Im just killing everything. I think no matter what this going be my League Starter in a week.
Question for you, wondering your thoughts. Why Cloak of Flame instead of Lightning coil? We have so much resist with the ascendancy. Do you not think ~70 life and +10% "taken as" is worth the ~75 fire res (and life regen)?
I think coil is better endgame and cloak early. Cloak helps with gearing for resists, allows for easier - res altars and map mods. Also the Ignite duration is huge when you're in the early stages in the build without good damage (since chief explode carries) Also converts phys dots so it's good for things like ultimatum

Who does more damage in t16, juiced with 8-10k wisps map? I understand that fulcrum might have a better clear because of ignite, but RF will have a better single target because of fire trap.

Out of the 3 main RF classes, which would you say is the best or most enjoyable to play? I've tried Jug a little but most of my experience is on Inquisitor. I never really get a massive amount of currency per league so I never got to go Aegis/Melding. Would also be very interested to see your methods for getting lots of currency with RF.
Am on SSF and started with Inquisitor whiteout knowing about the changes on RF gem. Inquisitor falls off at red maps drastically and feels clunky when mobs don't die and you need to backtrack. On the other hand when Pohx started his Chieftain on privet league, meself started leveling Chieftain as well and with Firecloak armor plus the Phenix Mosic shield was able to blast t16 maps right after killing Kitava at level 72. So in my experience with 0 investment Chieftain is the best choice for RF.
Wonder if it would be viable to turn this RF Chieftain to a MF version and still be like AFK tanks immortal vs. the DD of CR Chieftain MF afk that tanks fully mod juiced T16 with no deaths? Currently lvl up using RF and thinking which should I go with as the best tanky MF for T16.
I’m about 7 divine in and only at 150k dps. Can barely clear T11 maps juiced atm lvl 84. I’m def a newb though. The doctrine jewel would be so good but it’s like 40 divine. Everything else is reasonable 40-200 chaos items. Only thing I’ve changed is the belt. I’m running the immolation belt.
it really depends on how hard you want to take it. Build is viable but kind of low damage with low investment. Cloak with +2 and tainted fusings should run you about 3 - 4 div or so, the rest of the gear can be put together for probably less than 10 div, esp if you don't care as much about having a really strong weapon. If you want to push the build further, Biggest expense is adorned jewel + rational doctrine. Adorned with a 129% roll will cost about 40 div, and is very, very strong. it lets you scale life and dot multi a lot higher which will improve your tankiness and damage quite a bit. Doctrine is really nice for damage and regen, but also costs quite a bit. You can probably put a similar character together for about 100 - 150 div depending on how hard you want to go with magic jewels. 7% life 7% dot multi is like 8-10 div, but 7% life and 6% dot multi is like 3 div, and 5/4% dot multi is about 1-2 div, for example. Getting good corruptions on pieces can make the build a lot nicer to play as well, and is expensive. There's also a lot of room to grow with the crafted items, the rings and gloves are def not fully optimized.

I Guess you could get extra chaos res somewhere (like jewels with synth implícits), swap one ring for a nice ventor's and swap quicksilver flask for a gold flask. Should work

With the boots, you wont need freeze immunity, and we pick up stun immunity, i would go Arakali for major. and Ralakesh / Shakari for minor, depending on what you prefer, if you are capped chaos, then go Ralakesh.
It works fine and you could even just swap to end game POB after maps. I like Armageddon brand instead of fire trap for twink leveling, just finished the acts and it was smooth.
after 3000 alts, I got my first vivid cobalt jewel of zealousness, but it was only 6% life... craftofexile says 400 odd attempts to have 63% chance of getting it...
Sadly after looking at the prices for all of your items, this build costs over 200 divines to have all of the items you currently have. I saved up about 100 divines so far and am thinking of starting a new character, but I am just not sure I will be able to afford this. I loved playing your RF Jugg last season, but this build seems a bit expensive. I'll try and see if maybe I can cut some corners though and maybe I can make this a viable character.
@@drg_poe well either I continue with my current character and spend another couple weeks farming 100 more divines or I start a new character and they will be slightly gimped and over time I'll make currency with it and finally get enough to have it be perfect like the POB says. I'll just do the latter even if it means I die a few dozen more times.
@@drg_poe well I decided to do tunas fulcrum build instead. It cost me a bit over 100 div and I have most of it online and it feels nice and very unkillable. Sucks at single target boss, but otherwise it's super fun. I just hit 80 with it and I can't wait to start t16 juiced maps once I hit 85. Which shouldn't take more than a few maps.

Your PoB guide has swift affliction in the non-adorned RF 6-link. POE says swift affliction doesn't work with RF.

I Use Malachai's Artifice with Fire Mastery cap fire regen node. Easy with the first lab and possible to Level with from act 2

bad idea. cutting corners isnt something you can do if you want a viable character. just farm up more currency, drops like crazy this league.

this new adorned jewel is boring af, basically almost every endgame variation of any build now is "just get adorned and stack some magic jewels loooool" i hope ggg will nerf it into the fucking ground next league.
And remember guys, when you think GGG nerfed your build just search for new league items or mechanics. This build actually got buffed.
Buffed in the endgame* is the important part. When actually trying to start with this build on leaguestart, it is much worse than it used to be.
build would be much stronger in current state if they reverted the changes. Imo it's nerfed unless you're playing a specific version
