I’ve decided for this AU, it’s not particularly Lloyd’s oni side that makes him evil.
Instead, it’s his powers that become corrupted. After he leaves Kai, he starts seeing hallucinations of his family, friends and even his past self. They seemed to be created to drive Lloyd away from them, instead it makes him realize what he’s been doing and that this dark path isn’t right.

A few questions, they are all illusions right? And if they are why does Jay and Wu have one pink eye and one red eye while everyone else has two red eyes? Is is because Lloyd can’t imagine them being mad at him for long?

It’s because in his normal look he’s partially blind in one eye. I tried to transfer that look to the illusion
