Mate just had my first go with mine. About 4 hours in the end dug out 30 targets which I feel is pretty good given its chalk and flint and my day off haha. Read hole instruction book before leaving and forgot all of it so just had no idea. This really helps. I was using the all metal stupidly then park which I thought was field at some points it was unbearable showing all numbers randomly chiming off at everything so I'd point it at the sky. Eventually figured out turning the sensitivity down. Was a nightmare for shotgun casings half my holes where just those but they all show 4-19 then some jump to 40's I take it I can't eliminate these?
Thanks mate. Do you know a way to cut down on the bottlecaps? Ive been using the Ultra for a couple of months and Im looking for better ways to hear difference between coins and bottlecaps. Many times they can sound pretty similar. Cheers
Have you tried to update the firmware? I can’t get the update tool to detect is despite the driver being installed on all of my computers. I suppose it’s not the most important thing, but if it’s fault I’d like to know. Maybe once I bring it out and use it, I’ll stop caring about updating.

it will move when or mineralised ground , as well as iron, if it get too around 50% ground balance the machine, check it out next time you swing over big iron you will see it register 👨🦯👍
Can anyone tell me how to return the Simplex Ultra to factory defaults? My son made some adjustments to his new Ultra in an attempt to ground balance (based on a youtube video) and now the thing is chattering virtually all the time. Rather than dig through every setting, I'm hoping there's an option to reset everything. I followed instructions online stating that you turn it off, turn it back on, and then press the settings and pinpoint buttons at the same time (once you see the simplex logo) until you hear 3 beeps. We never hear 3 beeps - it just continues to turn on and then turn off.
soz mate but point less video! what buttons are you pressing? why you just showing the screen? and not the buttons? how can i figure out how your selecting and pressing? all i see is a screen and you saying a bunch of stuff that meansd nothing? can't tell what your seleting on the screen and what it means? your saying it but can't tell what your doing??

Far right in sub settings bar , it’s the revolving arrows
What number of gold in your detector?
Mid to low conductor , so from as low as 17 up to 40’s
How to reset it to factory settings?
Settings bar at bottom , far right and it’s the circling arrows
how do you keep the back light on for so long, my ultra wont stay on
A SECOND PASS THROUGH THE LIGHT OPTION WILL GIVE YOU PERMANENT LIGHT, FIRST GIVES YOU A TIMED RESPONSE LIGHT.
