Todd, thanks so much for making this video. We have been scratching our heads over the rivets in our bus. I have all these tools! I'm definitely using this technique!
@@nboudreaux07 We were up at 100 psi on the compressor we were using for this. The little one I had just didn't have the juice so we had to use a much larger compressor.
YES! Great Vid ! Not alot of yakky yakky yak til u want to stab yourself in the head with a pencil!! RIGHT TO THE POINT AND PROJECT AT HAND LOVE IT!! I AGREE WITH OTHERS HERE PLZZZ MAKE MORE INFORMATIVE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDS!! Tytytyty
On the 1977 MCI bus that I’m working on this technique doesn’t work. I don’t know if it’s because they’re rusty or that they are steel and rusty, but nothing short of 15 minutes of grinding seems to work. Tomorrow I’m going to try an angle grinder with a carbon burr tip. #Ihaterivets
What kind of air compressor? I’m just starting out and a little overwhelmed. I’m seeing several different options for PSI’s and not sure what to go with
I’m wondering the same thing! The psi I have is not working! I’m struggling with these rivets. Mine is only 110 psi .. I think I made need closer to a 200 psi
KHMposts yuk old nasty insulation that is God knows how old! Im doing the same updated insulating materials that will do the job more efficiently. PS to Todd Thanks GREAT VID!
Yeah, you never know what the insulation is going to be like until you open it up. Every video I've seen has that cotton-candy fiberglass insulation, and if it's ever gotten wet in its life it'll be DISGUSTING Also lets you check your roof for leaks - if water's coming in anywhere when you spray it with a hose get some roof sealant on there Lastly, you want a thermal brake in the ceiling - both the inside and outside panels are metal, with metal braces/studs in between - that conducts heat really well which isn't a good thing if you want to stay warm/cool very long
Depends on how bus is build. My inside panels fold over the under part of the window…I’m trying to decide wtf imma do with that situation I just found… hoping to find a video of someone with the same issue.
Thank you for that advice. Yes I found out a few months ago, when I had to do that. I just threw the insulation away. I had to get somebody to help me do the ceiling. Because of my back issues and my rotator cuff issues in my right shoulder. Now it's time to try to save some money and build it, LOL
Todd, thanks so much for making this video. We have been scratching our heads over the rivets in our bus. I have all these tools! I'm definitely using this technique!
I have been trying this technique but it’s not working only bc I think I need a higher psi.
If you have insight on what psi would be needed it would be greatly appreciated

You just saved me so much time
Todd this is a great video! Post some more!
Awesome video. Short and to the point. Make more schoolbus conversion videos!
Thank you for making a video that actually went through all necessary steps unlike most others who tell you half of what you need to know.
You are the MAN! this is exactly what I’ve been looking for 👍🏼

I seen so many other people struggle with this when it isn’t necessary. Thanks for sharing maybe some of the new skoolie owners will catch this
great video! I only discovered the air chisel on the last few panels of my bus. I wish i had used it earlier.
great video on ceiling removal and info on Harbor Freight tools. Budget saver $$$$
More! More! maybe a framing, electrical, or plumbing video
Thanks so much!
Very helpful!!!
Holy crap. THANK YOU!!!!
This is a life saver...
Right on!
Great presentation. Is the web site dead?

THis is how I've been doing it, too.
We just made a vid too!
Hey Todd, Do you guys have a 02 sensor socket? I need to change my upstreams this weekend.

helpful thanks hun
Would an air hammer work as well? I am unsure of the difference?
Same thing.
Good way to do it but you really need some hearing protection.
What would you do if air tools didn't exist? Because I do not want them.
Why the removal of the side panels? Is it possible to insulate and frame over the panels?
Because there might be rust or mold. I wanted to just build over the panels but I'm in Michigan and my bus has rust so I have to remove them.
Found Rust behind many of my panels 😒
Todd, why did you pull your ceiling down if it was already insulated?

Looks awesome, but it isn’t that easy. Maybe I have a lower power tool or something. My chisel is plenty sharp.
Can the walls come off just as easy?

Hearing Protection. I cant hear you, for the ringing in my ears.
What happened?
