- The University of Colorado Boulder trumpet ensemble, the first-place winner in The Yamaha Large Ensemble Division, performs Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, at the National Trumpet Competition, held at the University of Delaware, Puglisi Hall, Saturday, April 2, 2022.

I'm sorry but one of those horns was out of tune unless they were going for quarter tones and I don't recall this piece having any.
George, I can't seem to find any videos on UA-cam of you playing the trumpet any better than these students, would you mind providing us a link?
@@BobbyLCollins Whether or not one plays brass is irrelevant, one can still hear an out of tune instrument. (but I was a treble baritonist in my youth).
@@abyssoftus well I suppose instead of complaining about intonation of a student performance you should probably seek out recordings by paid professional musicians that would be more appealing to your discerning and well-refined musical tastes.
I for one enjoy this performance, and it's nice to know the future of music is in such good hands. I'm also thankful I'm not a pretentious snob with nothing better to do than criticize the intonation of youth chamber ensembles on social media.
It was 2 notes which she quickly fixed and obviously immediately noticed, and it was no where near a quarter tone.
