I'm loving it!!! You're amazing. One of my favorite parts is you preparing outside!!! You can't help but feel like you're there with you. Keep filming we'll keep watching!!!
Will... you're something else man! If I was ever stranded on a desert island or wherever, I'd rather it be with you because you're one resourceful guy! I was into cooking long ago but it took a back seat. I think I'm gonna learn a lot from you! Keep em coming. Thank you! 👍
Hello Will how are you, man you right that barracuda meat looks fantastic good job cooking it, man those look good I shuck quite a few in my days down here in South Louisiana we don't have oyster farm here all wild oyster beds, I use to take a sack of oysters wash them off s little then put them on ice get me a beer and some cocktail sauce and go to eating them raw right out the shell so good and the rest we would make some oyster stew, and fry some for po boys, good time down here right now for oysters cold weather do oak up all that salty water oh yeah baby they are so good.
Aloha, never thought to harvest the core when we took down our banana trees on Lanai. They just grew back from the stump. Heavier than they look and don’t miss the centipedes or the cane spiders. Dish looks refreshing!
Using my favorite filet knife...I've tried many many knives from cheap to pricey. The Rapala J. Marttiini is my all time favorite. You just scored alot more cool points Bro!
That looks delicious and Keto-healthy. We have lots of Barracuda up here in SC. There is a spot that I dive and fish called Barracuda Alley. Always been afraid of the Ciguatera, but may have to try it if I catch a smaller one.
@@michaetsully87 That's what I was thinking. I don't think the Barracuda around here migrate. They are pretty much present all year long over all the wrecks. They are easy to spear, and also easy to catch if you have live bait.
Man you continue to amaze me with the amazing creativity, hearts of banana tree, never would of known. With the risk of sounding creepy, if you ever find yourself in the Gulf coast of Texas, hit me up, I'd love to take you fishing
Really sustainable and way to go Will; Cooking with trash ❤ My brother and his family are somewhere in the Key’s and how I envy them, far from the Swedish winter doom and gloom;)
@@CookingWithClams choose the summertime then; the absolute nicest time! We leave our caverns and enjoy our wonderful nature, and you are most welcome 🌻🐜🌻🦟🌻
Barracuda is fire we always catch them when we go to the keys. Never really noticed the smell. We just stay away from the bigger ones as you said. Never had a problem. You can also tell how the fish fights if it’s healthy or not.
Another great recipe Clams ! It's been a long time since I've had any barracuda but could definitely try it in a salad . Do y'all ever catch any speckled trout down there ? We love it up here at the GA/FL line but I'm curious what kind of concoction y'all would cook up down there in the Keys with some trout !
@@CookingWithClams no not weakfish . I'm talking about spotted trout ( speckled trout ) . That's what we call them in the south . Im guessing it's close to the weakfish but with less spots . Now I'm curious if they taste the same 🤷🏼♂️
Clams Master Will 🙌😎, dude that dish looked good, #cudaburgerdays, and colors of the dish were popping, Will can you do me a favor and do a steamed or stir-fry CARP like REAL CARP the one that is invasive in the states, and I know people call them frown upon them but it would be cool to see them made into a dish, remember y'all LOBSTER 🦞 is a scavenging sea animal and taste yummy, so let's give the CARP a shot, until next time stay safe, stay awesome out there y'all 👋😎🙌
Really enjoy your videos with a cook too, could you try to do saltwater catfish? It’s one fish I catch way to much but can’t find the feeling to actually eat them they’re just slimy and annoying. Love the videos!
@@CookingWithClams Aaron young may know we’re a few hide out down they’re, I wish up here in Stuart, FL they weren’t as common I know when I go down to the keys I find them around restaurants (bass pro shop)
Hey Will. Never noticed your throat tattoo until now. Fish The World…..right? I like it. Edit: After finishing the video I have to say I’ve never been jealous of a salad until now.
I am pretty confused why people don't eat Barracuda more. Look how clean and white that meat is!! (suggestion for a future video, could you do a "trash fish" burger, something nobody ever eats)
Looks good but not a Barracuda man, Just too many other fish in the sea that are a whole lot better. however if I need to eat one to survive I would call you
I learn so much watching how you cook great videos
That means a lot. I’m in no way a teacher but I know a couple tricks

@@CookingWithClams Could not agree more. Where did you even learn that banana trees have an edible core?
What's up with the Jedi knife catch at 8:43?!?! That was EPIC!! I officially request more than once a week videos!!! 👍🤘

It’s really a clean light flaky fish
You filmed this before Ian, the Norfolk Island pine is still standing. :) Great videos, keep up the good work.

Smaller ones and ones away from the reef. There is always a chance but you can easily get it from hog fish as well
Sc is WAY too cold for cig! Cudas will blow your mind how good they are.
@@CookingWithClams Ya, not much reef out here other than artificial reefs. Probably really low chance of getting sick

Gonna have to try that pickled banana stem. I throw them away all the time when I do some pruning.
Depending on the species of banana it can be a little bitter

Sharks, but even sharks go after an easier target. Barracuda are just too fast
