Jump approach technique is a bit irrelevant when you are as tall as that guy. It's not like Nishida needing to use every part of his body to jump as high as possible. As long as the timing is there for him to meet the ball at an apex, it's fine
great channel with awesome tactical camera! Guys please help - can't find out what sign/comb US players (front and back row) are showing when team serving. For instance 0:32 (front row players are showing index finger as "one"). Is it actual middle blocker location to prevent aggring fake middle blocker movement from back row?
i was gonna say that he played pretty lazy and reached for a lot of things that wasn't his ball. He probably was a middle who is transitioning to a RS cause he has a decent swing and still learning how to transition.
Meh, I don't think he's that bad. I read in a comment once that the kid didn't even play in high school, just club and was naturally really talented. From this video, in my opinion it looks like he started getting pissed off in the last set and started playing pretty crappy as a result. I don't think he's too terrible, but kid could use some work.
I love watching volleyball from this angle at the end of the court. Wish all videos out there filmed this way.
For sure. Way better for learning
Whattt,yacks
Too low tho.
OMG I can't. I flinched and freaked out everytime the ball came flying toward my screen. lolol
100 percent agree. Way better to understand the pace and movement of the game. Yes a higher angle would be better.
Imagine if #13 on the USA team is an OUTSIDE HITTER...Dude is built like Colossus from X-Men.
thats what happens when bro is 6'10 235 lbs 😭
Patrick Gasman is his name he came from the University of Hawaii
Man is a whole unit
8:20 love how this rally ends
So fast
is the USA Libero mason briggs? he's from Long Beach volleyball right?
yes
18:35 9 didnt even look at him
Need to start a crowdfunding account for the US opposite. He needs dance lessons for footwork and music lessons for timing.
his footwork is horrible looking but I guess it works. technic is a means to an end not the end all be all

@@c.jarmstrong3111 fair point but there is no world in which a volleyball player wouldn't benefit from a higher jump
@@damanisouza859 everyone wants to jump higher and I'm sure he does too but when you're THAT big its hard to move like someone who's 6' 3''
He's 6'11 btw.

i think it’s like beach where 1 and 2 mean that they’re blocking line or cross but idk for sure
serving location, they’re saying to serve to the opposing passer in zone 1
Was so upset to see Ball State lose in 5 in the semis last year. Cool seeing isaacson and jenness make the next leap though
I’m gonna miss watching Quinn aka #14. Man he was awesome.
number 9 has different shoes?
Number 9 is buns, he’s just 9 foot 7. Dude didn’t transition once
spittin facts

doesn’t have to when he’s 7 foot that’s the whole point
fiytb he literally won the first set 😭

Who's number 9 right side for United States
Jake Hanes
Jake Hanes from Ohio State
🇲🇽 Salu2 ✋ buenos dias Volleyball Source , aquí les dejo mí like 👍
canada built different this game
0:30 made me scream
Is it just me or did USA #16 look a bit lost blocking?
Great match
#9 cant jump but at least he got a rocket
#9 is so lazy and looks like hes not even in the game. No awareness, barely any transition 😬
Jake Hanes led all scorers with 27 points on a match-high 22 kills, two blocks and three aces
standard camera angle is way better.
Hate playing with that volleyball. Feels like you’re hitting a basketball.
Pro: Has grip like a rubber ball.... Con: Feels like a rubber ball. Also plays dead, no bounce. Molten Pro Touch best.
Actually I played and if it hurt it mean
1. Doing it wrong
2. Skill issue
#9 is so oafy
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
damn
lol are these men under 21 or what are those rookie hits
Not impressed because of how tall they are, put the net up to 10 feets and we'll see how really good they are.
The USA roster says that #13 & #9 are the same height...?????
Yeah #9 is def taller
