Nice job guys, looks great! For anyone who is looking to do this, if you spray in a back and forth motion releasing the trigger at each end of the motion you will be able to eliminate most drips or runs.
Good to go. Awesome way to work it. I appreciate how you waterproofed behind the trim. will be using your idea of Cardboard to cover up the radiator as I spray the grill. Thank you for the ideas & inspiration.
Hi Kevin & Taylor, just watched your bed liner video and was thinking of doing to my sprinter as well. Any regrets? How is it holding up? Would you do it again? Thanks! Luke
Hi there - videos are great, and helping me in my 2013 Sprinter conversion. Curious on how you come up with this idea, and if you have heard how well it holds up?
Honestly, my brother in law gave us the idea and when I started looking into I didn’t see much in truck bed line, but I did see some folks use plasti dip, but I’d imagine truck bed liner is more durable. I watched a video comparing the toughness of different truck bed liners and rust oleum held up nicely. In terms of how well it holds up, I’m hoping it holds up well! Haha but I can’t guarantee it yet. Maybe this is something I can give an update on in like 6-8 months or so.
Thanks for the van build series guys. Great job. Real step by step and really helpful to understand the dark mysteries for some of us adverse to things like plumbing or electrics! Used this TBL for two coats on my truck and it soon chipped off in the areas that got worst hit from stones on the road. Are you finding the same or did you possibly do more coats?
great video, awesome that you picked up un those trim clips letting water in, absolutly essential you seal those as your floor pan will rust out in no time. hard to believe mercedes would design such a poor system that allows water in. thanks guys.
Yes!!! I did a walk around the van yesterday and it’s holding up great. there’s only one spot where looks like a pebble/rock hit it while driving and it could use another spray (I think it be worse if we didn’t have it since it gives the van a layer or protection too

You got it Lamar! Thanks for watching!

Hey Luke, we will do this on every van in the future, zero regrets and holds up great
THAT was a great question actually! Good to know from the people that actually did it! TY for asking that!

@@MathersOnTheMap Sounds good - I'll look for the update! It will be frigid in Wisconsin(well already is really) so I can't do it anytime soon anyway!
Jimbobwee sounds good! And I can only imagine I heard you guys got snow already!

We only have a chip in one spot and we put over 12000 miles on it since we did it. I can’t remember how many coats though but we used like 10 cans!
I think you should just keep the van plastered in cardboard - it looks great! ;D
Freedom Strider hahaha couldn’t convince Taylor on that! Thank you!!!

Still happy with the bed liner? Was thinking about trying this out?

@@MathersOnTheMap how much liner did you use ?
@@1PercentBetterConstant 9.
you need to seal every single clip right around the van.👍
Yes you do we went back and sealed up every other clip... what a pain in the butt!
Hola , cuántas latas de rustoleum usaron ?
I think we used 9 cans but I can't remember!
5:05 😁😅😂
I laughed out loud- like loony person! Ha!
I missed why you are doing this?
Protects the paint and looks better in our opinion
She is not doing a correct spray pattern.
