Oh my goodness! Test Drive II: The Duel was my first racing game ever! I have fond memories playing it on an old 286 20MHz (!) PC back in the day as a kid. And to this day, the game holds a special place in my heart - especially the title melody. When I first started playing around with DAWs a few years back a remix of the title melody was the first thing I created, haha. It wasn't great, but I made a different version from scratch later on after I had already learned some stuff (both are available on my YT channel). The original composer Kris Hatlelid even left a comment - talk about a life achievement, haha! Also: The Ruf is a real beast, definitely the fastest car overall if you can handle it. If memory serves right it doesn't have the best initial acceleration compared to the likes of F40 and 959, but the top speed is insane; which is no surprise, given that it was the fastest production car when it was introduced in - I think - 1987. P.S.: When I played the game a few years ago while recording footage for one of my videos, I was amazed at how well it had aged in terms of gameplay. The game is just pure fun! Though I will admit I used a gamepad then, which makes it feel a little more natural than keyboard controls.
@@XTRMNTR2K No, I mixed up your vids. I commented on the "Wreaking Havoc" EECH vid long time ago (also love it btw). And only liked your older TD2 remix vid. Sorry for mix up. Edit: yeah, my comment is 13 years old ;)
Thanks for the description, I was like "Wait, this game didn't have that many cars when I played it back in the day" :D
Wow never played this datadisk, thank you very much for upload!

I loved your remix. Left a comment few years ago IIRC. And you are right about the fun factor - this game still has its charm. Aged like a good wine.
@@damsonn Thanks, happy to hear it! Guess the internet is a small place, eh? :D
By the way, did you use a different account back then?

@@damsonn No problem! Whoa, 13 years, that's like one-and-a-half eternities in internet years! :D
No contest really, despite the advanced 959. That RUF is insane.
Yeah, I think it's the best car in this game.
the inspiration for the electronic art series THE NEED FOR SPEED
This must be a simulation racing game when I see the look of the design.🤟🤟🤘🤘👍👍
