Till today Afghanistan hasn’t recognized the Durand line as official and claims the Pashtun areas of Pakistan as Afghanistan, Peshawar even used to be the winter capital of Afghanistan before the British came. When Pakistan was officially founded and the first leader of Pakistan visited Afghanistan the president of Afghanistan told a famous Pashtun singer to NOT mention Pakhtunkhwa and the Pashtun areas of Pakistan in any kind of way in the radio or songs, so provocation will be avoided and they can start a good relationship. Than the singer wrote this song: „cha ghwag ke rata owele che janan meyadawa“ „someone told me in my ear to not mention my love“. So the whole song lyrics is based on Pakhtunkhwa and Pashtuns being Afghan and yet you claim this song to be Pakistani 😂

One must know the context of this ghazal and then you ppl will enjoy it the most....
When Ayub khan or may be Bhutto was on his visit to Afghanistan and Malang jan was doing program on radio at that time. The govt asked him not to do program on nationalism for few days (during Ayub/Bhutto's stay in Afghanistan). Malang jan becm very disappointed and wrote this ghazal " cha ghuwag k rata owel cha zanan ma yada wa"
Here from zanan he means Pashtunistan.
