He wasn't kidding about bad rubberbanding. All that cheating and apparently the AI still only finishes a second later.
It must be pretty frustrating to get better at the game and not be able to leave the CPUs behind.

It's only $15, plus 5$ for DLC, and for what the DLC is offering, that's a huge steal, imo. You won't be disappointed.

I'm just stunned that anyone can even see what's happening well enough to run the game.
It's a bit of an illusion. All the distortion is on the peripheral where you're not looking when you're playing. As well, it's easy tracks to memorize and major obstructions are well signaled.
TonesBalones looks like Oberyn "the Red Viper" Martell from Game of Thrones

I don't think this game is rubberbanding the finish times, it looks more like they're simply using your time and generating independent finish results based on your own time.

I'm guessing that the opponent named Fulcon Capital is a potential easter egg towards Captain Falcon (similarity in name) since it's so alike to f-zero
It absolutely is.
I believe there are some other Easter eggs in there. There is one that is very similar to McGeyver for instance.

Speedruns like this make me wish there was an accepted convention community-wide to denote in video titles whether it’s played normally or not. I came to see someone with awesome racing skills, not an OOB glitch-fest, and wasted my time on this video.

I think a game where you can skip laps by driving in reverse is pretty broken.
The game is pretty awesome, and it's not really broken. I mean it's not like you would experience this glitch while playing regularly, only if you try to glitch the game. If we go by that standard pretty much every game would be broken, because no game is glitchless.
tormentor91 not true, I tried to drive in reverse and this doesn't happen. He his exploiting a glitch that regularly people don't make.
Do you even speedrun ? I mean nearly every game has some huge bugs and exploits,for exampel look at the half life 2 speedrun ,or pokemon,i bet you never noticed any of those bugs while playing through the game normally.A game is only a mess when you find many bugs while you are playing normally,but just from speedruns you cant tell if a game is a mess or not. I mean a person who played the game for so many hours and trainend himself to exploit bugs in the game doesent even get those bugs every time.
In the first two races the second lap which he does normal is faster than the cheated laps. Why doesn't he do all laps, or at least the third one normally?
Rubber banding.
It's because he starts the second lap about a quarter into the track as a side effect of the glitch.

On the first track he messed up pretty heavily, the lap 2 is supposed to be slower than the 1 and 3. On the second track you start the second lap already at the middle of the track, hence it's faster than the lap 1 and 3.
Why did it got reuploadet
The uploads put out while the event was going on were done very quickly and occasionally have audio issues and etc. They did this so people who didn't catch 'em live can watch the runs without having to deal with twitch VODs and stuff So, they reupload all of them and make sure they're all 100% functioning correctly and stuff.

It's only broken when you can't even play it normally which is not the case since your exploiting a particular bug in reverse mode.

Dude, the developer of this game is one of the most talented studios there are. The entire game was created by like 5 guys. Compare it to some trash AAA game made by 300 people. It's an amazing accomplishment.
I hate attitudes like his about speedrunning. I'm much more interested in skilled players beating games legit and fast, as opposed to by any means necessary.
