I've used a simular set up, only with Harbor Freight Winches that look just like that only painted red. They have been a back saver. I have one on a 12 tall structural aluminum I beeam that is,48 foot long. It is suspended from my shops main steel rafters. I used the 1300 lb winch model, that I limit to 1000 lbs max, due to the trolly wheels are only rated at 1500 lbs. And I've very safety concious! I pull it across the shop with a rope attached to the trolly with the power control cord strapped to the rope. And I also have 2- 1000 lb capacity winches on a 16 foot long aluminum I beam mounted on 2 - 12 foot tall "T" post with casters under them. I use this setup to pick up car bodies off the frames of my project cars. This way I can control both winches while checking clearances and hang ups. Then I just roll the body that, hanging under the "H" frame hoist over to the side. This is so I can work on the drivetrains and frames. I have all my cables doubled so the movement isn't too fast for me to react to stuff that might hang up diring the lift. Used this system for over 30 years like this. Done dozens of body swaps and mods with it. I would love to have cross travel powered trollys on them. Work Smarter, Not Harder!
