It's a shame, I wouldn't have given it to him, not because of the trick (not only) but also because of the smooth rap. I like words, even if I can hardly get along with this language here :D It was really chilled. Danke dafür großer :)
He had markers on the cards.. Penn and Teller chose the cards randomly. He knew what the cards were by using the identifiers on the cards.. He then did a rap.. The rap had two purpose.. To transmit the information to his assistant off camera by using rap codes.. And to give his assistant enough time to put the right recordings together.. Prepared 104 recordings for this trick.. And 13+4 rap codes.. Man, that's a lot of work! Great job!!
This is my prediction. You have a trick to know what cards they pull (like remember card position, or put a mark on a card) And then when you rap you send information to another man behind scenes. And then play file with the same cards chosen. I think you already prepare all possible outcome file for that rap.
I think the cards were in perfect deck order and he gave them some shuffled cards at the end. Teller picked the second card... it was a 2. Penn picked a kissing king. He moved his hand slowly so he could count them out. His assistant played the right recordings.
So he had to have done sleight of hand inputting a specific card for each of them... but was it at the start when the cards were chosen (right before putting their hands over the cards) or right before the reveal?
Anyone notice what Penn said at the end there? 7:37 "______. That's bullshit." Sounds sort of like he said, "Acting. That's bullshit" but I don't know.
I almost think it’s just as good as winning when Penn & Teller wish you had fooled them becuase they loved your routine so much. So on that note, congratulations!
my only posible explanation of the trick is shuffling the deck in a way that the order of the cards are known by him, then he know the position of each card on the deck, no switches, no forces, no marks.

Brilliant, I thought about some type of code with his hands but ye your guess is probably what he used Edit: How he managed to separate the cards from the others is a mystery, my guess is. His ring lose the connection to the 2 cards that they chose after a certain delay due to the distance. That's why there is a rap to give him some time to be certain that it's those cards. And then the backstage guy chose the right sentence to play

He spent hours upon hours pre-recording his rap about Teller and all 52 cards and then he spent hours and hours pre-recording his rap about Penn and all 52 cards. Lots and lots of prep work. Then it comes down to RFID tagged cards and an RFID reader and transmitter in his ring. It's a clever trick, but there are better (more convincing) ways to pull it off.
@@---cr8nw RFID cards are extremely noticeable when you hold them. They're bulky and weird and difficult to shuffle. This is more likely some kind of bar code on the sides of the cards.
This is a completely mechanical trick. Very Richard Turner-esq. All the shuffles at the start, after the initial show of the face up mixed deck, put the deck back into a modified new deck order with at least the Spades in place of the Clubs. The last shuffle before the selection was with the backs up, and not faces up like the first two, to hide this from Penn who would have caught that immediately. Penn's selection was dead center of the deck and should have been the King of Clubs, but I believe Clubs and Spades were swapped entirely to help in getting the cards back into a reasonably random order at the end. If he had stayed with the first card and not swapped, it would have been another king, presumably the King of Diamonds since he landed on a kissing king, and we know where the Hearts are due to Tellers choice. Teller picked the second card from the end, the Two of Hearts in new deck order. The first card on the end was the Ace of Hearts, the card on the other side of the Two was the Three, and so on back through all the hearts. The hand work and cut during the rap was enough to shuffle the cards into what looked random during the final spread. He could have simply done the reveal in the rap at the table, but the pre-recording adds another layer. That's 104 recordings, the correct two recordings somehow signaled to a person off stage, or an accomplice who watched the selection, counted the card location, and got the two correct recordings. I imagine what Teller said was, "You shuffled the deck back into a type of new deck order before the selection."
Just saw Kevin Blake tonight in San Francisco. He did this trick and many other amazing ones - and he's a TERRIFIC entertainer. Great show! My completely off-the-cuff guess on how this is done is that there are code words in his rap that tell the person in the booth which audio clip to play, out of the 104 necessary (52 for Penn and 52 for Teller). How he knows which cards they have? No idea....
I'm guessing there was a way to decode which card Penn and Teller picked and then that information was transmitted to an assistant off stage to play the recording of the "prediction". Even if I have an idea of how it was done... I still think it was a brilliant performance.
The best thing is, your magic brought out words from Teller and you got to hear him speak to you!!! That's MAGIC!!

Could somebody please explain how it was done? Cuz um bewildered as to how on earth it was done.
The cards were in a specific order, he did a fake shuffle and he had a pre recording for all the cards
No idea....
It's a marked deck.. All magicians have those..
@@Ikkimoto18 He gave the deck to Penn and Teller. I'm sure they know how to spot a marked deck if they are allowed to examine it.
@@johnmerlino581 They know that It's marked deck.. That's why he did not fool them..
I would assume a camera on table. Or a chip reader more than anything. To many raps needed to do that
@@zennamok5428 He only needs 17 rap codes.. 13+4..
I'm guessing there was a way to decode which card Penn and Teller picked and then that information was transmitted to an assistant off stage to play the recording of the "prediction". Even if I have an idea of how it was done... I still think it was a brilliant performance.
