You can do that with high speed output of Arduino but in that case you will get 5V outputs from Arduino. You need an optocoupler to convert 5V to 24V. This way you can control the Servo. Another method is via MODBUS :)

Greetings. I am trying to connect a DVP28SV PLC to a ASD-02-0421-M Servo.
I have done the following connection:
VDD --> Pull-hi-ps
C1 ---> -COM
Y3 ---> /SIGN
Y2 ---> /PULSE
With the following parameters:
Pr 1-01 = 0
Pr 1-45 = 720 / P1-44 = 128
Pr 1-00 = 0002
Pr 2-10 = 001 ( Servo On )
With plc code ( PLSY K1200 K1700 Y2 ) on a M0 bit.
When I run the code, the drivers screen counts the exact number of pulses of K1700 but the servo motor does not move. Note that the servo is ON and the shaft cant be moved by hand. Since I have the screen of the servo drive counting the pulses I think that there is a problem with the parameters of the drive, I went over the manual over and over again to solve this problem but I couldnt figure it out.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Solved : Problem was in the e-gear ratio. N1=1000 M=10 solved the problem. Also connecting the servo motor using a printer USB cable ( CN4 ) to the ASDA software helps in figuring out any problem related to the programming of the servo drive.

I shall try to make 3 axis(X,Y,Z) PLC(delta dvp 10pm) operated plasma/oxy fuel cutting machine | In position control mode ,we will have to continuously sending pulses in servo drivers for distance and velocity as per target X,Y,Z coordinates and after will completing any commad we want feedback from ac servo drive(panasonic make) for comparison,and closeloop purpose | how resolve this issue please suggest me any hmi software or idea,
Can we will make machine without cnc controller??

hello Rajvir , for one of my application close loop , line interface, i want to show the exact number of pulses in hmi.
i have siemens s7-1200 cpu 1214 , hmi ktp 700 and delta servo motor-drive asd A2,
the thing is i can run the motor the way i want. encoder cable is connected to the drive.
i want to know abt the parameter in the drive that can give the exact feed back to the plc abt exact number of pulses / or there is any other way plc can know the exact number of pulses motor travelled [feedback]

Good question! Well there is one way which i am sure of. In Delta Servo drives, we have feedback of pulses from 6 wires. You will get those wire in 25 pin connection. More details about the no of those pins. are in your manual.
Now you also need to see the voltage signal of those wires. I guess it's 5V and your PLC input reads 24V. In that case, you need opto coupler to convert 5V pulses to 24V pulses.
The other way could be reading the pulses from Servo directly via MODBUS. I am not sure about how to do this.

in this application we have printed bag material in Roll form there are so many bags are printed in this Material Roll and fro servo servo positioning or programming a Black colored rectangle Eye mark is printed in between every two bags which is detected by an Eye mark sensor which gives an out put after every single bag when it passes in Machine during bag making process machine gives a heat sealing at every bags bottom & gives a cut on every bags Top side so that packing material can be put later ON IN THESE BAGS

Hello Abdul, Yes you can do it form any controller, as long as your controller gives high speed pulses of 24VDC.

Yes, you can do that. Servo driver just need Modulated command, it could be from any controller.

+achraf bara I can tell you about Siemens high speed output command but after a while. I am working on Siemens S7-1200 these days. If you could able to generate high speed signal from Siemens then wiring up the servo is not difficult.

+achraf bara Yeah, it's a very typical application. Which PLC you are using in that? try to generate high speed pulses out of PLC, then set your Servo in Pulse mode and connect the high speed output wires of PLC ti high speed input of Servo Drive. And then write the code accordingly. You need to know PLC programming and wiring in this case. If you are totally new in that, i would suggest you to hire a PLC specialist. Helping online in servo project is not good idea. Servo projects are very sensitive.

You need to find a way to generate pulse output from your PLC. Then further wire the pulse output to Driver pulse input. You will find the wiring details in the stepper driver's manual.

You need to calibrate the servo system to find number of pulses required for lets say 1mm. Then use maths to find pulses for 1m. For example: If you calibrated 1000 pulses for 1mm. then you need 1000x 1000 pulses for 1meter
