    I've been exploring the concept of account flipping lately and heard some intriguing success stories. For those who've tried it, what was your experience like? Did you find it as profitable as some claim, or did you encounter challenges along the way?

    • @SkylineO-hm3kd

      I'll encourage you to go ahead. It came as a shock to me when I first saw how profitable it is. Although I'll advise working with a hedge fund manager because that is the only skilled and experienced personality that is up to the task.

    I've heard a lot of hot-takes on gold vs bitcoin over the years. I don't think it's hyperbole to say that Tyler's explanation of the value of gold vs bitcoin among millennials and even more so, Gen-Zers, is the most definitive and clarifying take I've heard to date about the cross-section between technology forward-minded generations and the concept of store of value. Hearing his explanation opened my mind to envisioning a world where people, en masse, wake up one day and say, "Why the heck are we still digging for these rocks in caves and mountains?!"

    • @kurtisjackson5759
      @kurtisjackson5759 8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, gold digging takes up as much or more energy as bitcoin. At least Bitcoin can use renewable energy. From wind, solar, to wasted natural gas energy. Water energy to volcano energy.

    Exciting times in the crypto world! The latest analysis reveals a bullish trend for Bitcoin in the coming week, especially intriguing following its recent weekly closing patterns. The approval of a Bitcoin ETF adds to the buzz, presenting a prime opportunity for investors to strategize and potentially capitalize on these market movements. Definitely a moment for crypto enthusiasts and investors to watch closely and make informed decisions in this ever-evolving market...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 932k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

    Bitcoin is money. It doesn’t need the tech upgrade. The layer 2s solve that. Altcoins are playing with fire in terms of security and decentralization.

  • @davidhodge144
    @davidhodge144 8 місяців тому +4

    At 59:00 the guy with glasses really shows his ignorance around Bitcoin. The tech at the base layer does not need to improve. It’s functioning exactly how it’s meant to function and the fact that its tech hasn’t materially improved is a feature, not a bug. Similar to how the US Constitution is so valuable bc it’s doesn’t change… if it was easy to change for the good, it would also be easy to change for the bad. Immutability is the constitution’s super power and the same goes for Bitcoin. The tech improvements are happening in Bitcoin at higher layers. TCP/IP hasn’t changed.. it’s boring and basic. Yet unbelievably complex layers are built on top of it creating the internet we know today. Same with Bitcoin. Base layer is perfect. Improvements are being built on top.

    Completely disagree with much of what the glasses guy said around 1:05:00. Money converges to one. Value all flows to the BEST money. We saw that with gold (silver stuck around bc gold wasn’t divisible enough for small transactions). Gold beat all other forms. Today we have many currencies bc they’re forced by governments but free markets will always choose one (or two if there’s a major flaw in the one that needs to be addressed).

    What? Did I hear Mike say that the barrier of entry for being a participant of the Ethereum network is low? Do you even run an Ethereum node? Do you know why nobody bothers running a node other than large staking operations? Because it's hardware requirements, most run an Amazon server, another central point of failure.
    On the other hand, you could build a bitcoin node with a raspberry pi and a 1tb hd, and run the bitcoin software, keeping the network secure. Ethereum is over complicated inferior spaghetti code that basically runs in Amazon servers.

    • @niktak1114

      They are not.
      Decentralization, Security, and Scalability.

      There is no solution where all 3 are achieved on the base layer.

    The "only Bitcoin will pump" argument seems to me like one put forward by maximalists and other Bitcoin-centric individuals. It follows their assumption that Bitcoin is somehow elevated or holy, when in reality it exists in the same market and is subject to the same rules of network growth as any other well thought out crypto commodity.
    There's also a problem in dialogue when having these kinds of discussions. Bitcoiners have absolute conviction there is no other use case, yet haven't walked out onto the fringes to understand what is novel. To retort means needing to educate someone who is unwilling, and so the conversation kind of just ends.
    It's this strange culture of presenting and celebrating one's ignorance as being virtuous or somehow intellectually refined.

    • @jcantonelli1

    Do not presume that Googles Gemini failure was an accident. Given its dominance in the industry, Google has amassed high levels of technical expertise, the kind that would have caught this problem before Gemini released. This mess could very well could be the result of an internal rebellion against the toxicity of the woke culture that has permeated every aspect of that company. The sanctified DEI offices directed the social parameters to the designers and they followed those instructions to a point of absurdity. If true, we’ll played

      Maybe you don't live in a woke city or have many woke coworkers but I think you're underestimating the unironic absurdity of people's apparently genuine opinions on all things woke. I believe you're thinking in the right direction but that it's less likely intentional sabotage than the fact that their employees are so overpaid and pampered that they can afford to be that out of touch. On top of that, small companies, like OpenAI, do have certain advantages - namely, a very tight and narrow focus in a highly specialized domain and a lean business model. The sprawl of google's various projects amounts to a bureaucracy and is accumulating the inefficiencies that a bureaucracy entails.
