A/C is crucial, I had a 5 year lease at a place without A/C and it was brutal in the summer. Now we have it and it's amazing. Granted the cost of using A/C in a 5,000 sqft place means a $2,200 bill during the summer months, it's rough but worth it.
"I don't have anyone to answer to, like a partner, anyone, it's just me" - "I had to call my wife... so she could hype me up." That is your partner my man, just like all of us husbands. It's good that she supports what you do. Keep up the videos, seems like yours are always the ones I watch all the way through.
dumb question, "turn on the sorters" @ like 1:40. What's the latest/greatest in this tech? I used to basically live at a card shop in the early 2000's and there weren't any mechanical/automated sorters back then AFAIK, so curious about it
I dont have enough money for this. In fact, idk if there is enough money in the world. So good. I do not envy any employees at game stores who have to tell everyone their collection is trash.
I was thinking of buying base set off TCG player but decided it was to risky for the exact reason you said. Like if they are near mint cards or better why would you not just get them graded.
Out of curiosity, how do you package your lots? Where do you get your 500 ct boxes? I have a lot of bulk but I worry about trying to move it because of shipping expenses.
Just wondering if knowing what you know now, would you have bought double the quantity? (assuming funding was available of course). Because looking at Modern Horizons III it has taken flight in terms of prices it commands today.
Where do you typically buy the massive cards? I've been trying to find a place that either makes or sells them so I can get some decorations for my shop
I feel you on people trying to sell base set collections that have gone through the washer for $10,000. It makes me not want to look through Facebook marketplace anymore. I'm not about to offer these guys $80 for the lot. The expectation is too high for me to even waste my time or breath.
Are you worried your showing the distributor name and their prices at 15 min? Usually they frown on that info being disclosed. Anyone familiar with MH3 products could figure out what the item is given there is only a handful of MH3 products
There is a book called Radical Candor which talks about how to have hard conversations with people. Not judging how you handled the pokemon collector, but it seems like what you did was called ruinous empathy. By not telling them based on the current market these are rocks, they go on thinking they have a lotto ticket when they dont. I think asking them how much a card is worth like a shadowless charizard and then showing your mint copy online best offer 500 would have shown them the reality. The radical candor part is doing this where you care personally about the person, if you dont care about them they will hear the truth but they will think you are a jerk. That all said, those types of convos are incredibly difficult and I don’t know the situation and what you did may have been the right call! Wanted to throw out the resource though in case it could help you! Thanks for all you do and love the vids
I have been doing this for a while I can tell who I can do this with and who I can’t. The people I think can handle that type of information and not make my blood pressure go up get that information.
> By not telling them based on the current market these are rocks, they go on thinking they have a lotto ticket when they dont That is not his emotional debt to deal with.
I’m glad the WOTC CEO walked / was pushed recently… imagine being the head of a company who’s primary customers are so scared about your product quality that they have to go through this process to order from you😳
The fake suspense over hitting the order button is just that. That is Southern Hobby's web page and you can place that order as a presale and you can easily call your rep and make changes to it all the way up to I believe May 16th. Here's your oscar.
Movement = waste. Get a pick trolley and make your work flow path with as little movement as possible. A good warehouse layout will save alot of $$$, time and frustration. Enjoy MH3 :)
Congrats bro! If anything though I wait now for MoxAlpha. I know you said you aren't cracking packs really anymore and I am guessing your Patreon is why such a huge order. Seriously though, much Kudos! You are an inspiration.!
Well hey, If you can’t make your $215k back maybe your “my business died because of modern horizons 3” video will get 215k views. Really though, I’m excited to see where this big purchase takes you. Good luck 🎉
man, u gotta tell the base set people that they dont have what they think they have, now they r gunna walk in to the next store with the breifcase handcuffed to them. Thats prolly what happened to the guy u mentioned, u were the 2nd store, first one told him they couldnt afford his stuff 😂
That’s funny that everyone thinks Pokémon = winning lottery ticket. I had a guy bring me four binders of Pokémon but all the cards were upside down so only the back was showing. I told him I wasn’t going to flip over 1500 cards. He said I don’t have to. They are $1 apiece, it doesn’t matter what they are. Every Pokémon card is worth money. I must not know anything about Pokémon. Needless to say I passed.

Congrats on such a huge order!! Keep growing, the community you've cultivated has your back! Take my money 😂
Thank you for the glimpse into all that goes into the effort!

I will never forget when the AC didn't work in the old warehouse and I was sweating my ass doing an RI. It was like 85 degrees up there
Hell yeah!!!! Heres to more quarter mil purchases.
I feel you about the air conditioner… my pc just overheated I didn’t even notice how how it was in the house lol
Alpha Quest update for the month of May? Thanks.

Doing AP for a company and processing 500k in ACHs always made my palms sweat.

I get mine from BCW, we use the 400 CT boxes they will fit 560 trading cards, use code RNG10 at checkout to save 10% :)
@@rng-gamez Appreciate you and appreciate your videos! If I ever get things off the ground I'll make sure to subscribe to your Patreon, thanks!
Just another manic Monday 😁😁
Wow Southern must love you haha.
I refresh the page a few times a day waiting for MH3 to go live
@RNG-Gamez we're missing you

What did you buy 50 of, for $348 each (totally $17,400)?
Hello man. We need an Update of MH3..... how the product is doing?
Im thinking to spend 5k on this to make a couple of bucks down the road....
Is the store gone?
Your content’s amazing
Dumb Question but is it easier for your business to sell new product or sell old product?
New lol

If you ever get big enough that you need a lift truck driver, lmk

When he starts giving employees benefits- I’m first in line!
Did you check you ordered correct language version?
$215K GANG TO THE MOON WE RIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!
will you be buying Sheoldreds?
I don't have high hopes in mh3 ,I wish you luck bro 🤞
Modern Horizons has a solid track record by now, so what could possibly go wrong?😅

going to start making negative videos about MH3 daily

Oof MH3 box prices have tanked -33% on tcg since he made this video.... $370 => $250
Still at a healthy price
