  • Just another low effort feeding video. Just finished the Ackie enclosure today... need a couple days to rinse and air it out before adding substrate and a few last details and Lil Joy can finally move into her forever home. I've been real busy with that and other real life crap so things have been slow video wise. Should be uploading more soon once I sort out all the junk on my plate.

1:21 that was great, no escape.

Yeah, I think that's what he was doing for sure. He could just tell by the positioning of the tongs that I was going to move it or something, so he just jumped to it like it was a branch.

Kale seems very smart. At 5:45, you raised the tongs for him to jump. But he would not jump without first looking down to see where he would land! Right?

I raised it to try and get him to stand up to grab it. But you are right that he is smart...Just smarter than you were inferring... he knew that as he inched toward it I would continuously raise it to get him to stand up on two feet as I have done it previously and as you see me doing it with him and little Joy in other videos. He jumped onto it so that I couldn't raise it away from him. He knew what I was going to do and he thwarted me which is why I laughed and said "he's never done that before."
They are studying you just as much as you are studying them, he's like nice try... I'll just get on top of it so you can't move it away from me. It was a clever move by him. If you watch the third one I give him toward the end, he again thinks I'm going to raise it by how I have it positioned...so he stops far away from it and I relent and lower it for him in defeat, realizing he isn't playing my games today.
