I wish they would match players up by HQ. It's no fun when you honestly have to take the PvP aspect out of the game mid level and even the PvE aspect(so you don't risk getting more medals) and are stuck just opening the game and collecting resources for 2 seconds and then finding out they are 50% gone when someone 5 levels higher steamrolled your base. Simple problem that SuperCell needs to address
kalloused had to stop attacking and setting my HQ out for attack to go backwards on VP at about Level 40 - sad in a way, I now play less while using attacks to build things; but I get attacked less and almost always defend an attack
I made that mistake, I am level 28 and I have 194 medals right now. Everyone on my map is level 36 or higher and pretty much impossible to win. My hq is at the front but I only get attacked about two or three times every week. I think i might just stop playing for a while. Anyways, thanks for the vids.
Here's what you can do to drop VPs. I have been using it for a long time and it works really well. Like what Ben said, just put your Headquarters in the front of the beach. Then only and only attack events. Events are Dr Terror, Lt Hammerman and Col Gearheart. Just do those events for a week without farming any player base and NPCs. You should drop 20-30VPs within that time frame. For upgrade wise, only get the ones that you can afford. If you intend on getting a huge upgrade, then get a good Resource Reward Masterpiece. Boost that on Terror days and you should be good. If you do need the extra resources then by all means go ahead and hit players bases. If you want to farm less player bases, then get more Resource reward statues and stop using green statues. You will get way more resources than using green statues even if the green statues are boosted. When you do use green statues and your base gets raided, you not only lose resources that you store but you also lose resources that your production building produces. At least some percentage of it.
If you do wanna try this method out, you need to inform your task force about it. Because your intel count will drop as well. With this method I'm able to get around 15-20 intel per week. Its low but still decent. If your task force doesnt approves of it, then leave and find another task force that can accommodate the way you play. Cause at early to mid-late game, you need to focus on upgrading and not so much on intel. Its a selfish way but you need to build up your base first then find a good task force to attack daily in operations. Hope this helps.
One thing you can do too if putting your HQ in front isnt dropping you fast enough, stop attacking anything, just build up your base and units for a while. All the bases on your map are static and dont get stronger, after a while you will be strong enough to take them all out anyways.
I had this issue slightly. I did push early on and eventually I couldn't beat anyone on my map. Now the issue is better that I am able to beat more people on my map but I agree with Ben that you should take down people with the resources you need and not keep pushing all the time like I used to
If you're about mid game, the best tip is to slow the attacks down like Ben said, attack on terror days etc, but also, don't be afraid to use power powder to boost your statues. If you don't have good statues, just keep trying to get a good Power Stone Masterpiece from Terror. I'm HQ 15 lvl 38 and have 283 VP's. It's a lot and get matched up pretty high, but I use some power powder to boost my health statue, resource reward, and power stone chance. Once you put more effort into your offense, mainly the armory, the higher level players will get easier. Another Big tip I can give is to not be stingy about using your diamonds to buy resources for your upgrades. There was a point where I got seriously stuck but I got out by using my diamonds to upgrade my heavies and barrage which are super important for mid game players.
I learned about this 3 months ago. I save players for big loot and change other players out the next day if they don't give hardly any loot. I'm level 39 and I just upgraded my sculptor to level 6 by taking out Dr T and 2 player bases that it. My sculptor cost 1,710,000 wood, 1,530,000 stone, and 670,000 iron. So only taking out 2 players as you can see that's a ton of loot. And I only gained 4 medals. I always upgrade the most expensive item that i have resources for so no one can loot it from me when i put my base at the beach. I literally get massive amounts of loot per player attack, and when players attack me they usually get less than 50K gold, 30K wood, 30K rock, and 20K iron. A month ago I was level 34 and took a screenshot of all the players on my team. Today I have leveled up faster than all of them and even passed a few players that were 2 levels ahead of me. Our Task force consists of 25 players and we are around 2,300 TF points. We range in levels of 31-43. Never spent a dime on diamonds, I just save them for HQ upgrades. Boom beach requires patience. What good does it do to attack your entire map and get your resources maxed only to have your base raided and lose almost everything? By the way, when i get raided its bc i let someone raid me when i put my base to the beach. I have yet to get raided by any players for almost 2 months when I have my base set to defend. The reason is bc the players that attack are usually 10 levels below me and do not stand a chance based on my VP points. The entire goal when playing boom beach is to have every defense and offensive troops, weapons, buildings maxed out the fastest way possible. After everything is completely maxed out then the goal is switched to becoming number 1 in medals in the charts. I really didnt want everyone to know this bc once everyone starts being smart, the players will be better. If all the players are better then its going to be even harder to beat players. But im sure its going to take a long while before players really catch on.
What I tend to do (unless the Task Force is struggling for intel) is leave players until terror days (4 times per week so its still pretty active attacking) and then boost Resource Reward, GBE and Troop Damage. The resource reward is really key, it means you only have to attack about half the bases you normally would if it is a high percentage. My HQ is always at the front of my base and I try to keep surplus gold as it is easy to get and people are more likely to attack if they are going to get some resources for it. With that being said I built my game pretty much all offensive, level 42, 500 VP and i have 5/7 boats at lv 17 (Size 21 - 4 heaveis/7 warriors), my upgrades go into Gun Boat, Warriors, landing crafts, radar, sculptor and armory. I suggest warriors simply because they are fast to move, deal alot of damage, really quick to train (3 mins per warrior), and most attacks last 1 minute which lets you get the most out of the 3 boosted hours without using diamonds to speed your troops. So my statues are also warrior orientated, 1 troop damage, 1 troop health, 4 gun boat, 1 power stone chance and 1 resource reward (lv6 sculptor), they make taking down the harder bases easier especially when they are using ice statues as for warrior users in particular it causes huge problems
Amazing vid! I am upgrading to hq 11, i am xp 24. I get matched with people all over the place. They can be as low as 20 or 21, or be as high as 40. I guess I'm somewhat average, maybe a little bit above average. I have about 145-150 medals :)
I am a lvl 65 base, all my base and troops are at max lvl. I am at 945 VP right now and every base that shows up is a lvl65 on my map. What I have found most important is to look for two things, first, check statues, if the base you are attacking has statues for base Healy and defense it makes them much harder to defeat. Look for this carefully because many of the hide the statues to get you sucked in to a painful attack. Second, look for what lab weapons they have. You have to measure what lab weapons are present against what troops you have. If I find lvl65 bases with no lab weapons I take them out first. Try to max your resources as soon as possible. I have a lvl 70% statue for extra resources and I get all kinds of gem stones to get the boost elixir. Thats the key to boosting and attacking higher lvl or strong bases, boost before attack. My statue mix right now is 2 for troop health, 2 for troop damage, 6 for ship borne weapons and one for resourses. That seems to be working well for now.
I cleared my map every day as fast as i could but then i was so high on VP that i got level 34-37 enemies when i was just 26 Then i just tried to loose some by moving m hq to the front and it suprisingly worked i got attacked a few times and lost some vp! You just have to wait long
You should push defense upgrades first. Otherwise the stronger players will just take your resources before you can save enough to catch up to them with the big offensive upgrades. Also, focus on upgrading your vault as much as possible to mitigate your losses.
CRITICAL IMPORTANCE, look up on boom beach wiki the "victory point reward thresholds" because there are certain ranges that will give you a higher daily reward, your goal should be to get there and then to maintain it. Like for example, 300 is the threshold for 2shards per day, which is a lot more than the one shard you get for 299 or less.
I believe it just evens out, if you can't beat anyone on your base then ur not getting any VP. Keep upgrading ur offense and try attacking and get better at attacking some bases look harder then they really are. Also find a troop that works for you, it will make it easier to say oh I can beat this base with my troop or no I can't beat this guy with my troop. I'm level 42 with around 420 medals so I encountered this problem but I embraced it it really made me a better player. If you do have this problem and you want to continue going at bases I recommend only having offensive statues and boost when you need it. Hope I help and remember don't be afraid to attack high bases practice makes perfect.
Best way to drop is put HQ on the beach and only attack NPC bases... NPC bases usually give only 1 VP so when they get taken back over it is a net gain of 1. You need to attack frequently to have loot for people to steal! Even if your HQ is on the beach you won't get attacked if you have nothing to steal. Other players know it's not worth gaining 2 VP for very little loot. It took a while to realize but it is worth sacrificing that loot to help lose VP. I usually stack my map. Boost then clear my map for big upgrades. Then for the next day or so while that upgrade is happening put my HQ on the beach but keep attacking NPC bases so I have loot to entice players to attack me. This way it only takes 1-2 days to drop back to where I want to be in VP then I can repeat the process again.
What I did was I focus on upgrading gunboat LC riflemen barrage artillery and zooka.Ops reward I usually take gold and VP reward I take shards or frags.Boost my RR statue for Dr.T too and when I found base with good resources I can beat , I save them and attack after doing dr.T so that way I have RR boost.
Hq12 at 220 metals average trying to drop but when I attack and clear map I get back to200 in lvl34 attacking hq15-17 lvl40+ what should I do or what metals should I stay at
Another point is to have some things that you haven't upgraded for so long that they are very cheap to upgrade, this way you will never plateau or hit a wall.
yea...I wanted the 300 gem achievement (when u get 200 victory points ) and I pushed and pushed and got it... but now I'm going against level 35 players and I'm 31. they all have upgraded rockets and boom cannons and I don't have enough gbe to handle them. good vid bro. thanks. Many decent tfs require 400 vp, so if you get that you can get better rewards too for large upgrades. Thou harder to stay in them due intel requirements might be high, and only way to collect intel is either to get raided what can be hard or more vp. Defensive intel is important staying in good tf.
I have a question about resources in conjunction with statues. So, say if I have a statue that increases wood 30% but I get a statue that increases resource production by 40%. Do I get a 70% boost or does the 40% trump? Any other tips help..thanks.
Thanks Ben, this has helped me a lot i pushed hard early just for the resources to upgrade mostly but the people tat attack me and i attack are to hard they step over my base like its nothing and i cant defeat anyone so i was starting to get frustrated. ill just stop playing for a little bit or just not clear my AI bases. but overall without this video i would have quit boom beach all together because im getting quite fed up with losing every single defense.
i'm lv 41 (just got hq 16) and i'm at 28X medals. i can beat like 55% of my enemys with tank medic (my main tecnique).. maybe i will drop my medals a bit so i can destroy like 60-70% of my enemys.. what would you do at my situation ?

best way to drop on VP is this: DON'T RAID PVP BASES. Just raid npc bases and upgrade what you can until you get easier PVP enemies :) One tip is also have a lot of resource reward statues. I'm lvl 50 at 600 VP and I don't need raid alot because I have 50%, 19% and 18% RR-statues. I raid with warriors so I get down max level players unless they have boosted ice :) so my problem isn't high VP but if enemies gets too strong I kbow how to drop VP ;)
I was level 24 and i have 182 victory points but i can beat level 30-35 with tanks 🗿. But i can't beat most if the player cuz many of them focusing on defense so it quite hard
I don't have a huge problem about high lvl people on my map there's a couple but my big problem is I get attack five times a day by people much higher than I and I'm only lvl 45 and it's hard because I'm trying to save up resources for expensive upgrades... Would you say I try to drop vp like the solution for the people on your map?
Great video man I was just thinking to my self that I'm level 33 with lvl 13 hq but have 222 vp I myself didn't think that was to high but now I'm getting matched with level 40 that are pretty much impossible for me to beat so I guess time to drop medals
I don't have this problem. I clear my map all the time. Sometimes I let it load up and get a big jump. Now most of the invasions are from 61 to 65. I'm halfway through 57 and am digging it! If I get a really hard base I just keep an eye on him until his statues run out of powder of him lab weapons expire and he's all mine. if one is too tough even after that I just click for another opponent. I really hate how we have to wait to drop vp we all know the real reason is that we have to buy diamonds so we don't have to wait its all about getting us to buy the diamonds everything is better when you have diamonds
yup same problem here i am presently at 42 lvl but i get raided by player of 50-48 and and resource bases are in lvl 52-55 and player attacking in those bases are also same map is also same it took me hell lot a time to upgrade base also i am not even diamond player
I did exactly you said not what to do,I pushed in victory points snd cleared my map with low level warrior rushes at level 39,then I kept seeing level 45s and 42s and im only able to destroy a few,and I find that I get attacked by high levels tanks or grenadiers or even scorchers?!I dont know what a hq20 was doing so low in points.Ty for the tip but its a bit late for that....I guess I could have an outside hq tho

iam lvl 25 and have 210 medals its so gr8 because iam so pro my tactics is to lvl up my boots and my scret store and my ship abilities so I stay defeat players above lvl 40
It should be based on your lvl, like im 47, so i should be attacking lvl 47's or there abouts, I would love to attack more as I am in a tf that requires intel, but cannot as it opens me up to be attacked more, thus losing 1.5 mil in gold overnight, so what is the point? Supercell needs addressing!
lvl 31, 142 VP, HQ 11 (I do max everything before i go next HQ level), rarely attack. Only get Resources by Dr Terror and my Collectors in Base most of the times.
***** I know that you feel like you should max everything before upgrading hq, like you do in Coc, but even Supercell recommended that as soon as you reach a the required level, you should upgrade hq.
I think that they should make the npc bases harder, i can beat most npc bases with no casualties, while most the players on my map either are too hard for me or i can beat them with half of my troops dying. This is how i got up in victory points, i could only beat the npc villages so i attacked those, then i just rose in victory points. I am trying to go down in victory points, and thankfully im not too high, but i just cant attack and risk getting even higher. The bad part about this though is i get like no wood. I have all the wood resource bases in my map, and my sawmill is maxed for my hq lvl.

Wish i had this vid couple of months ago. There should be an upper limit to enemy base levels. Like 5 above your own level. This would punish people for not playing, which is the opposite of the current game. I'm lvl 32 and have 329 VP. I'm getting level 45-48 appear on my map, no chance. :-(

i put my hq on the outside for more than two weeks and did not attack even once but i only dropped 13 vp. very frustrating

I have a question I'm level 23 and i have 140 vp but when i look for opponents i only find level 30's do i have to much vp or not?

You need to attack frequently to have loot for people to steal! Even if your HQ is on the beach you won't get attacked if you have nothing to steal. Other players know it's not worth gaining 2 VP for very little loot. It took a while to realize but it is worth sacrificing that loot to help lose VP.
I usually stack my map. Boost then clear my map for big upgrades. Then for the next day or so while that upgrade is happening put my HQ on the beach but keep attacking NPC bases so I have loot to entice players to attack me. This way it only takes 1-2 days to drop back to where I want to be in VP then I can repeat the process again.
What I did was I focus on upgrading gunboat LC riflemen barrage artillery and zooka.Ops reward I usually take gold and VP reward I take shards or frags.Boost my RR statue for Dr.T too and when I found base with good resources I can beat , I save them and attack after doing dr.T so that way I have RR boost.
great advice. I ha e recently had people on my map that are 10 levels above me. it sucks loosing all my tanks trying to defeat the higher ranks.
Hq12 at 220 metals average trying to drop but when I attack and clear map I get back to200 in lvl34 attacking hq15-17 lvl40+ what should I do or what metals should I stay at

Another point is to have some things that you haven't upgraded for so long that they are very cheap to upgrade, this way you will never plateau or hit a wall.
yea...I wanted the 300 gem achievement (when u get 200 victory points ) and I pushed and pushed and got it... but now I'm going against level 35 players and I'm 31. they all have upgraded rockets and boom cannons and I don't have enough gbe to handle them.

Many decent tfs require 400 vp, so if you get that you can get better rewards too for large upgrades. Thou harder to stay in them due intel requirements might be high, and only way to collect intel is either to get raided what can be hard or more vp. Defensive intel is important staying in good tf.
I have a question about resources in conjunction with statues. So, say if I have a statue that increases wood 30% but I get a statue that increases resource production by 40%. Do I get a 70% boost or does the 40% trump? Any other tips help..thanks.
Thanks Ben, this has helped me a lot i pushed hard early just for the resources to upgrade mostly but the people tat attack me and i attack are to hard they step over my base like its nothing and i cant defeat anyone so i was starting to get frustrated. ill just stop playing for a little bit or just not clear my AI bases. but overall without this video i would have quit boom beach all together because im getting quite fed up with losing every single defense.
I think a better system could be having players on your map be one HQ above or below what you are instead of how many VP you have.

i'm lv 41 (just got hq 16) and i'm at 28X medals. i can beat like 55% of my enemys with tank medic (my main tecnique).. maybe i will drop my medals a bit so i can destroy like 60-70% of my enemys.. what would you do at my situation ?
You lose one victory point every time an NPC base appears on your map so you will naturally drop anyways if you don't attack

best way to drop on VP is this: DON'T RAID PVP BASES. Just raid npc bases and upgrade what you can until you get easier PVP enemies :) One tip is also have a lot of resource reward statues. I'm lvl 50 at 600 VP and I don't need raid alot because I have 50%, 19% and 18% RR-statues. I raid with warriors so I get down max level players unless they have boosted ice :) so my problem isn't high VP but if enemies gets too strong I kbow how to drop VP ;)
I was level 24 and i have 182 victory points but i can beat level 30-35 with tanks 🗿. But i can't beat most if the player cuz many of them focusing on defense so it quite hard
I don't have a huge problem about high lvl people on my map there's a couple but my big problem is I get attack five times a day by people much higher than I and I'm only lvl 45 and it's hard because I'm trying to save up resources for expensive upgrades... Would you say I try to drop vp like the solution for the people on your map?

I don't have this problem. I clear my map all the time. Sometimes I let it load up and get a big jump. Now most of the invasions are from 61 to 65. I'm halfway through 57 and am digging it! If I get a really hard base I just keep an eye on him until his statues run out of powder of him lab weapons expire and he's all mine. if one is too tough even after that I just click for another opponent.

yup same problem here i am presently at 42 lvl but i get raided by player of 50-48 and and resource bases are in lvl 52-55 and player attacking in those bases are also same map is also same it took me hell lot a time to upgrade base also i am not even diamond player

I did exactly you said not what to do,I pushed in victory points snd cleared my map with low level warrior rushes at level 39,then I kept seeing level 45s and 42s and im only able to destroy a few,and I find that I get attacked by high levels tanks or grenadiers or even scorchers?!I dont know what a hq20 was doing so low in points.Ty for the tip but its a bit late for that....I guess I could have an outside hq tho

It's because of the rising count of farmers. I'm a farmer in my low lvl account as well and I can tell you how successful it is: a LOT

It should be based on your lvl, like im 47, so i should be attacking lvl 47's or there abouts, I would love to attack more as I am in a tf that requires intel, but cannot as it opens me up to be attacked more, thus losing 1.5 mil in gold overnight, so what is the point? Supercell needs addressing!
lvl 31, 142 VP, HQ 11 (I do max everything before i go next HQ level), rarely attack. Only get Resources by Dr Terror and my Collectors in Base most of the times.

I think that they should make the npc bases harder, i can beat most npc bases with no casualties, while most the players on my map either are too hard for me or i can beat them with half of my troops dying. This is how i got up in victory points, i could only beat the npc villages so i attacked those, then i just rose in victory points. I am trying to go down in victory points, and thankfully im not too high, but i just cant attack and risk getting even higher. The bad part about this though is i get like no wood. I have all the wood resource bases in my map, and my sawmill is maxed for my hq lvl.
TheRealNinja24 make the npc bases harder? come on man, those new npcs are too strong. and no, my army is not max yet but still... compare croatian sensation or much turret to geometry wars II or depleted. I can't afford to boost every time I attack.

Wish i had this vid couple of months ago. There should be an upper limit to enemy base levels. Like 5 above your own level. This would punish people for not playing, which is the opposite of the current game. I'm lvl 32 and have 329 VP. I'm getting level 45-48 appear on my map, no chance. :-(

This worked for me the best way to drop in victory points let's say u have 423and u attack 3 bases the next day u will have 415 that's the way I go
