Haha! Yes, but he had to tie up all the loose ends in the plot so far. 🤓And note how clean the clothes are of the protagonists after that big fight🤪 ! That is one of the cliches of Asian drama - no one has a hair out of place. 😊Love this drama - watch from the beginning- this is episode 38 and the finale for the season. Good plot twists, excellent acting - especially from the older actors. Also very artistic and mesmerizing music - l love the dizi flute, drums and guqin combo to give the atmosphere. Look for the opening theme music and art graphics - they are spectacular.❤️

The guys are the pinces( one with the double sword and the other ariving on small boat) and princesses( women arriving in a larger boat) of beliang, who have come to avenge their mother who was attacked at the capital and and later died from the injuries attained. Among the people involved is a the gentleman( in black, who has been using his young discple to kill the young prince meant to become the lord of beiliang). The lady in black with a spear is a servant to the prince while the lady who came flying is white a friend to prince to is so much into reading and lent the prince her two swords, the gentleman who arrived in white with soldiers is a fosters child of the late queen, who also came to avange her.
All the gankers look like the bad guys tho. And some of them might even be killing the 2 that didn't do anything to them. And a wife killing her husband in cold blood? Oof evil.

His master is head eunuch in the imperial palace and is one of the people who orchestrated the murder of the main character's mother. The main character and his siblings are children of the king of a vassal state in the north.
