I like how scout represents the fan base by saying “it’s been 4 years already, fix the game” every now and then

And with the help of Robin Aktin Downes (the voice actor of Medic), Nathan Vetterlein (the voice actor of Scout), John Patrick Lowrie (the voice actor of Sniper), Grant Goodeve (voice actor of Engineer. Although he doesn't care about TF2 that much), Gary Schwartz (the voice actor of Demoman and Heavy), Denis Bateman (the voice actor of Spy and Pyro) and Ellen McLain (the voice actress of The Administrator), they gonna achieve, what they want. Too bad Rick May (the voice actor of Soldier) bit the dust in 2020. I believe, he would help them as well.

Shows that Scout is genuinely taking this seriously, and it reminds me that, for them, this isn't your run-of-the-mill battle. This is a genuine fight for survival against their own creator.
ever since i heard this cover i wanted to draw a giant battle scenario of all the mercs doing a team attack against an enraged Gabe with Sniper bot wings, i don't have the artistical skill for it but this comment only helped me imagine that even more
@@goblincrimes8524 I personally imagined it more to be an entire colosseum full of bots, cheering Gabe on as he fights the mercs one by one, with the other eight defending themselves from other bots while one faces Gabe head-on. It would fit in with the idea of this being one final battle.

Soldier: rocket blast
Pyro: air blast
Demoman:Shooting sticky boom and activating sticky blast
Heavy: Sasha is ready to shot
Engineer: sentry Sound detection
Medic: ubersaw
Sniper: Sniper shot and Jarate
Spy: back stabing

Scout also adds a pistol shot
Soldier adds a rocket fire and explosion
Demoman adds a sticky fire and activation
I honestly dunno what Heavys adding, cant hear it well
Medic adds an ubersaw attack sound and a syringe gun shot

and spy is just butter knifing

There's always two sounds added with each mercenary (earbuds recommended to hear them).
The engineer also adds a shooting sentry. Kinda hard to hear it though.
Spy adds his revolver shot as well.
I think Pyro is also extinguishing, but I'm not sure of it.
Medic also adds syringe shots, presumably with the Crusader's Crossbow.
The mercs were tired of getting nerfed
I love it how Furscorns changes the drum beat to sound effects unique to each class
Ex: Bat hit sound on Scout, syringe gun firing sound for Medic
Definitely the best attribute

I like to think when the alarms sound, Bots are just pouring into the server and all the sound effects that are in the background is the mercs trying their best to defend

This was the first one I saw once I got all the vid notifs. Already loving how GabeN sounds, and I love the idea of each merc getting their piece! Plus, Fourth Wall is just an awesome song anyways! Excellent song so far, positive it'll be great all the way through! Edit: And I was right, excellent song all the way through! I really enjoyed how each merc had their own sound effects in their parts of the song, makes it easier for each merc to shine even more! Great song man!

Absolute perfection.
The vocals, the interchanging character rebelling with their own voices and sound effects thrown into the mix. Beautiful, clean, sweet perfection.
Context: Gabe Newell Was Going to Apologize to TF2 Mercenaries For Abandoning Them And Give Them More Updates, But The TF2 Mercenaries Were so Angry That They Wouldn't Let Him Speak And Started Fighting With Him.
Out of the 6, this is definitely my favourite because I absolutely love Fourth Wall and TF2 and all the mercs sing as well which is just really cool.
Anybody notice how depending on which character is singing, their weapons are going off in the instrumental? Really clever detail!
I mostly noticed with the Engineer with a Sentry beeping in the background.

I heard the new background effects and just imagined all the mercs getting respective kills. Like scout would just be running around whacking people with his bat, soldier just rocket jumping, pyro firing an air blast either to throw someone off a cliff or fire a rocket back, demoman building the ultimate sticky trap, medic getting a few kills with the ubersaw, spy just jumping around and trick stabbing everyone, sniper just getting headshot after headshot, and engineer sitting near a funny sentry.
And Heavy gunning people down for touching his Sasha

When I first saw this cover, I wasn't so sure about it.
Now I can't stop watching it, I love it. Great job, especially adding the extra lines and sfx!
I think the higher viewership compared to other covers is a testimony to TF2 and the undying adoration for it in all it's forms

I love the character themed changes in the instrumental. I honestly wanna learn how to do this with characters when making covers
i'm not even a fan of FNF but i love the TF2 content lol, and this is no exception. it's a bop. the "voices" are great, and i LOVE the detail of additional class-related sound effects for each class's part, like demo and stickybomb noises, engineer and sentry noises, spy and knife + revolver noises. . . a very cool detail that i absolutely love. good job furscorns!

A great song because it actually fits so well with the tf2 updates of how long they take.
The added class sounds are actually in tune? I love it!
If there were lyrics, I bet it would have Gaben talk about how flawless the game is and how long it took to make it and each mercenary would speak their case about something so frustrating about the game, to crate depression and the Bots.
Scout would be talking about weapon glitches, soldier would just be pissed in general, pyro, demoman would talk about clipping glitches, Heavy would tell gabe he needs a real update, Engi would be talking about bots, Sniper would also be talking about bots, Medic would talk about Crate Drought, Spy would be talking about glitches with the game, and the ending segment where all of the mercs show up one after the other would be a unanimous plea for a new update.

No one seems to notice, or at least mention, the fact in the slower part with alarms going off, there's the sound of snipers chuckling in the background. On top of the final shot with a robot sniper at the end with that same chuckle, the moment seems to be a reference to the bot situation.
Yeah the alarms along with the sniper chuckles, but I never understood the bot at the end.
It likely references the fact that the clients of automated snipers that flooded servers being "bots," or robots

The background tf2 Sfx swapping as the vocals changed to and from each Merc is an amazing idea both in concept and execution, and it makes for a wonderful musical addition.
But as well made as this is, in my personal opinion, it’s heavily dragged down by the missing harmonization in Gabe’s vocals that was present in the original with Scott’s vocals.
Still a solid 6/10 imo, but it just feels incomplete without the harmonization. Thanks for reading my subpar opinion.
