Most of these players are waiting for the Dame saga to end the same way they waited on KD last year.
Need Pat Bev to call it out again.
Them or the teams?
That's silly. What if Dame does like Durant and plays until the trade deadline? Why put your career on hold until then?
@@42tribes it’s not really them it’s teams not trying to spend money or S&T assets until they know what’s really going down
@@michaelsims8656 both. Players can sign for lower but I guess they’re waiting to see what money is really leftover before signing. There are guys like Dario Saric taking the vet minimum instead of holding out for more
Kelly Oubre is the prime definition of having stats with no impact. There’s a reason on why teams haven’t pick him up. He averaged a inconsistent 20 PPG and his defense is mid to average
That's still serviceable though
@@bakslayer3032 I mean yeah i guess if you’re on a playoff team but in general, his stats just have no impact on the court. He doesn’t change the flow or everything and he has the skill to do it. He hasn’t improved his game at all
Send oubre to Houston .
His defense is nonexistent 😂😂😂
@@bakslayer3032 yeah for a vet minimum deal
Wood is one of those guys that could have used some time in the weight room, only real problem with him is strength around the basket, that thin frame of his gets pushed around and powered through by the beasts in the NBA nowadays. Dennis Rodman used to lift weight after games when other players were tired, he took a toothpick frame and made himself strong enough to do battle with naturally beefier players and the greatest rebounder ever. Somebody like Wood should look to that mentality if he wants to take a step up as a player.
It's not just that. He doesn't set picks well and defense is an afterthought.
A
I think Wood's lack of discipline is definitely one of the issues, but I think the biggest one is his low BB IQ. He never knows where he supposed to be in rotation. Most of his screens are either called as offensive fouls, or should be called but ref missed the movement. When he actually sets a screen he always roll before any contact which is not really helpful for ball handler.
He was always disrupting Mavs' offensive flow as when ball get to him he was always shooting it instead of continuing the play. That's why at the end of season he was coming off the bench with 3rd string guys, as he was able to still make his shot but he didn't involve other guys.
And of course his attitude has been on display at the end of season where he was stomping his feet and grumping everytime he got benched.
His problem is that he has a bad attitude .
I think the problem with wood is that he just can’t defend as a big and will be a detriment on the floor for you in the playoffs which is bad if he’s an important part of your offense. You can’t tell teams to just look at his strengths when they want to win and there’s not a lot of teams that are fine with losing this season that players like wood and bol fit on best
I watched Wood play for two years on the Rockets, and it isn't just his defense that's a problem. He won't set a pick to save his life. He really won't do anything that doesn't show up in a stat line.
No has to be character issues. Shoot handle ball that height and block shots. Unwanted. Only character issues ie sulking not listening to coach etc
@@keeping_it_realtyWith all due respect, the Rockets also had a garbage culture called out by veterans who have left or been traded and the worst coach in the league. It's not shocking to anyone paying attention that nobody was playing a winning brand of basketball in Houston.
In Dallas, Wood was a lethal pick and roll and pick and pop partner for Luka and showed a willingness to hustle on defense. But to play him effectively, he does need to be paired with a defensive anchor at the 5. This isn't that disimilar to how Kevin Love worked in Cleveland, he also wasn't a great defender but he was surrounded in the frontcourt with stout defensive bodies.
There are teams out there that could provide that same structure.
Watch him try to set a pick. It's awful. There's a reason Dwight Powell (who sets picks and always plays hard despite a limited skill set) commanded more money from other teams than Wood did (yet ignorant Mavs fans have been trying to embrace Wood and drive Powell away because they don't know how to watch anything besides shooting).
He gets rebounds and blocks shots
Had no idea ayo dusunmo was a fa, raps should sign this guy asap wtf. Perfect player to play along side barnes and maybe pascal if we end up keeping him
Restricted
Love the content man keep being great
Maybe I missed it, but it doesn't seem like Detroit, Houston, or Dallas were particularly sad to see Christian Wood go. Curious why that might be.
New Orleans discovered him first. After he had a few good games with them, they also decided not to resign him.
He really isnt good unless he gets to create on his own, which no team wants him as a #1 option
Moody. Doesn’t understand that he’s not the first option. Not good for team chemistry.
I think it's his attitude
He only plays offense.
Man TJ Warren was going crazy in the bubble
We all remember. It was crazy. He was a name for himself. Then he got injured....
Wouldn't mind seeing John Wall on the Heat he could push the pace of their offense.
John washed
u clearly didnt watch wall on the clippers last year, he is cooked, Hes basically CP3 with no jumpshot
@@Beast12369you clearly don't see how bad this league is.
@@Beast12369He’s still decently athletic, but yeah, he’s pretty cooked.
no he cant. hes washed
Oubre would look great on the Nuggets.
Didn't realize I hadn't subbed, so now that's done, plus added you on Threads too.
I think that Wood would thrive in the Heat's system. If anyone can help him tighten up his defense & maximize his overall game it's Miami. Plus Spo is really great at hiding a player's defensive weak spots. I'd love to see him end up in South Beach with Dame 😉
I 100% agree with you brother
😂😂😂 if you know the Heat culture you know Woods won’t last a day their. Jimmy will kill him first. Lol
The new firm cap is impacting signings. Teams are cautious taking on salary, looking for younger, chesper.
I hope some team picks up John Wall soon; the last report I saw on him was about Australian teams being interested.
His style of play, doesn’t equal to winning.
Honestly he needs to hang it up before he sours his own legacy as a great point guard
@@DCBikerR1He’s always pass first PG 💯
I think this video could have been a bit more interesting if you specified which teams you think would be suitable for the players
Wood-Cavs
Dosunmo-Wizards
Warren-Pelicans
Wall-Bulls
Oubrey-Blazers
Hmmm. Dosunmu might fit the Raptors nicely
I honestly just found out John Wall was still in the league due to this vid, thought he fizzled out years ago
I can’t remember the last time I saw Wall in a uniform.
As a bulls fan i'm sad Ayo is not signed, he had a very good rookie year and generally rookies tend to take a step back the second year, especially when you're starting a position you don't really play.
Bucks fan. Im hoping they pick him up. Got a little Avery Bradley in him. Which for a back PG/ 9th man is perfect for a contender.
Tsunami Papi getting signed soon 🌊🌊🌊
I would love a scenario of Wall coming off the bench for the Cavs. We didn't get to have Rondo for long and lately Rubio seems to be done with the NBA as he's epressed interest in finishing his career back home in Spain. I still believe we need a Veteran PG to come off the Bench and help give experience to DG. Wall could definitely be that guy if he embraces it.
The sixers should definitely get Kelly oubre or pj Washington
Christian Wood was ball stopper and his pride was higher than what he produced. He did much better in Dallas since he clearly knew his days in NBA career was in jeopardy since he didn’t get the starting role as he wanted.
Honorable mention id say is Jaylen Nowell. Good role player
Kelly oubre will be re-signed by another team that's for sure he had a breakout season in charlotte last season averaging 20 points per game so if charlotte decides to retain him that's a W
@@Mdksupreme1please no
Charlotte said they're not bringing him back.
Charlotte don't know what they're doing, regarding constructing their squad.
They need to get rid of Clifford
@@ColdHoops why they rehired him in the 1st place?
With DOSUNMU Back on the Bulls, you might consider Hamidou Diallo in his stead.
Christian Wood is actually a fuckin bucket. You're right, a team lacking the offensive kick they need could definitely use him. Looking at his stats last year he dropped 16.6pt/7.3reb/1.8as, on 26min/game at 51.5% fg/37.6% 3p/77.2% ft. ESPN ranks him as the 8th best PF in the league.
I like pj Washington for my knicks, could be a great addition to fill all of our needs
It depends on the price. I think he is looking for a big paycheck after an average year in an awful team. If i am the Knicks GM, I pass.
@@carlheinz6273 7-8 mil for 2 years isna good deal imo
Being Restricted makes it tough and two are Charlotte where they have cap.
We would love Ayo in Toronto
How could you make a list without including the most valiuable free agent of them all, Bol Bol?
Interesting would be if Cousins rejoined warriors.
It's 2023 bro 🤢
Why
@@roberttrevino8873 toxic trio of Cousins, Green, Chris Paul
I loved C Wood on Dallas last year but Kidd just doesn’t like his bad D.
Not just Kidd. The Mavs inability to guard the paint, and w Kleber out also, was demoralizing for everyone.
Suns need to jump on John Wall like yesterday.
Im surprised the lakers haven’t signed all of these especially Wood
they would have if that white guy didnt have a great year last year...they gave him all the extra money.
@@sojjaz you mean Mac Maclung?
@@ericksoler1221 chris reeves or something? he did well in the playoffs
Oubre as a spark plug off my Cavs bench would be 👌🤌
Pj signed offer sheet with charlotte 2 days ago
Wood might work as a speciality stretch big on a team with good defensive bigs and championship pedigree/strong leadership. GSW, Milwaukee, Miami, Denver come to mind. He’s just not a physical player and just looks to score anytime he gets the ball. On defense he’s a negative except for occasional blocked shots.
I'd take Wall as the backup PG on my Cavs
Embiid is a top scorer and can still be a 3 time all nba defensive team, plays 65 + games, 2nd year in a row. I'm biased but it's harder for big men to stay in the league.
All of them to PHX on minimum contracts!
The Wood hate-wagon feels to me a lot like the anti-Jokic stuff towards the end of last season when the MVP debate was at its most toxic. I think people are just parroting whatever opinion they see online, and it amplifies into gospel. Wood is a good player. Not a star, but good enough to be a starter on many teams. I don't know if he'll get a starting role on whatever team signs him, but he's definitely going to find a team.
It doesn’t matter what we are saying. The teams he have played for are showing how they feel about him.
Rockets gave him away to in division rival for peanuts. Mavericks don’t look interested in bringing him back.
Now he is damn near going to get signed on a vet minimum deal. For a guy that should be the prototype new era center… no one stays interested. He don’t have a stats problem, it’s some more than just bad defense.
Mavs fan here. He can score but is a net negative due to how horrible is defense is. It’s hard to explain but he just doesn’t seem to mesh well with anyone on the floor. coaches seem frustrated by his mistakes and effort.
If the Timberwolves got John Wall as their rotation PG. It's surely will get them a jackpot. Surely I would gladly remove Jordan Macloughlin if I had john wall.
Christian Wood should go back where he started, with the Sixers, we always let good players go and then they flourish, he would be a great stretch 4 beside Embiid
C wood would be a beast on the knicks, could blossom into an allstar there
We had a better c wood in toppin and thibs managed to fuck that up by giving preference to brickius trashdle
Still underated, even on Mavs team...
Wood would actually br perfect for the Knicks as they have a lot of scrappy defenders throughout the roster and Robinson is a strong defensive anchor.
@@Nuvendillmaoo wood would
All star lol dudes been on 7 teams in the same years. Dude is not him
I’ve been saying the kings need to sign pj Washington
John Wall as a raptors please 😅
I feel like kelly oubre and christian wood should be signed by OKC because they need good backups, it would be perfect cause after sga , giddey and chet goes to bench , they have decent backups like oladipo , white , christian wood and kelly oubre
Christian wood and Kelly oubre don’t fit how okc plays and the type players okc want on their roster especially oubre but also okc are committed to their guys and want to see how everyone plays when healthy
Wall to the Bucks... Let's GO!!!
Feels like we’re waiting for harden and dame situations
Wood and Warren would be good for the Sixers
I’m just waiting on my Lakers to sign Christian Wood or Biyombo but hopefully we sign CW
Also Kemba Walker and Isaiah Thomas
Lol no
The lakers should sign Woods, that’ll also be a good pickup for them
Kelly to Dallas or Miami
I know this sounds crazy but I’d love John wall for my Celtics off the bench. He wouldn’t be at such a high risk of getting injured because he wouldn’t have the same role as in Washington.
The good thing about today is if players really want to be in the NBA, all they have to do is treat it like a job that they have always wanted and now all they have to do is their homework, along with being able to provide any team with the player it needs to win!!!
I am surprised you didn't mention PJ Washingtons off court drama
why would he
That's bc theres no drama with him
For the algorithm. 🤙
Christian Woods defense is so bad for how tall he is. He may be the worst defender in NBA history for his height.
I feel like if Wood can get on a team that allows him to be the offensive player he is capable of he would really help most teams. as long as you let him be a stretch 4 and not force him to play center most teams could really use him. Same with PJ
The clippers didn’t even play wall PG and kawhi together in serious rotations
Christian Wood has been on 7 teams in 7 years. About to be 8 whenever he signs with his next team. That leads me to believe he’s a problematic off the court or in the locker room.
really want pj back on the hornets
You forgot about Kemba Walker
I think Boston should sign John Wall
Would love to see wall on the raptors we need a pg!
You just got Schroder 😅
@@ColdHoopsWe got no back up though
Everyone says all of guys in this video should be signed by Heat. Then why Heat didn't sign all of this players? Hope they all be signed by Heat and they played +15 average players in overpaid contract in playoff
Ayo will stay in Chicago...
Unless they want to include him in any Lavine trades, if they're considering trading Lavine 🤔
There's NO REASON why Lavine and DeRozan should still be a Bull come training camp/media day 🤷♂️
Wood has good offensive skills and potential on defense but low effort at times on D. He seems too focused on his minutes and personal performance each game. I think teams doubt if he can be a role player without becoming digruntled. Plus his stats make him seem like he'd warrent paying him more money than teams want to pay. Washington is a better all around player than Wood and at least plays hard on defense. Like Washington, Oubre played on a bad team full of players who wanted to pad their stats, but he took a lot more bad shots than Washington. Oubre is solid as a 2nd unit player on a contending team but the price tag is too high. Teams probably dont want to pay starter money for a guy with questionable impact on winning. Wall and Warren just injury prone and not a bad deal on a minimum. As a celtics fan the only guy Id want is Washington, he'd be great in the 2nd unit and would be a good Grant Williams replacement. Dosumu or however his name is spelled would be decent too in a low cost contact. Depth is always welcome.
John Wall have to call D. Brooks agent, so he can get mor money then Westbrook 😂😂😂
Wood and Washington are gonna get picked up for the right deals. Both players have their pros and cons and front offices are probably low balling them at this moment in time.
Kelly Oubre is a difficult one. He can score but he also has terrible basketball IQ. I'm not sure I'd want him as a contender tbh. He's probably asking for 20ish million after last season.
John Wall is close do being out of the league as he never has been a good shooter. Having lost his explosiveness I'd now take him as.a 3rd PG in a mentoring role more than anything.
Dosunmu is defintiely going to be picked up, he's still raw but his defense alone will draw interest from teams. Feels like a Heat player to me.
Lakers shouldve & still should get John Wall, i think he'll settle in his position wit Bron
Not gonna lie I would love to see Christian Wood or PJ Washington on the Knicks….we need a backup forward and those two would fit well as 6th men and can play well off of IQ and Divencenzo
I was literally thinking the same thing about Wood. As a Knick I approve this msg. Especially since outside shooting was a weakness for us last year
He will fit with Miami next to na.
Who?
0:22 0:22 0:23 0:23 0:23 idk what that trainer is training but thats a freaking carry 🤣🤣🤣🤣 yup homie it’s just robbing money at this point 🤣🤷♂️
Kelly too?
What happens to free agents who don’t get signed
They learn a new language.
They don't play? It's kinda self explananitory
@@samwilts6016 so they just bounce out the league
Remember when y’all said that Christian wood trade was a robbery? lol i tried telling y’all wood wasn’t all that
Kemba Walker
I think his nba career is over unfortunately
Wood wants the offense to run through him. Once the ball touches his hands he's shooting. That doesn't work with Luka and Kyrie but maybe an anemic offense like the Lakers. But he's 27 yo and doesn't seem to think his game could or should improve all around. He's doin what these fan boys are doing and only looking at his ppg and rebound stats, which are really good but his plus minus is awful because he's such a liability on defense.
Lakers have a good offense. if they get wood theyre top 3
Teams are looking for centers who can defend Jokic. That is not C. Wood
I'd attach jokic on the defensive end and make him work or we get easy bucks, have a second C to play defense and make him work hard. No one defender is stopping him so give him different looks and make him work on both ends as much as you can. And after all that Murray goes for 50 and jokic has 30 point triple double but at least you tried lol
That's a very limited list.
Teams can look but it will be hard to find a center to guard Jocic. You can block a shot but it is difficult to deflect an accurate pass.
Woods should take a pay cut and come play with the Lakers 🤞
*Christian Wood needs to sign with the Warriors*
Raptors should pick up Wood
If you want a PG who frequently rushes to the basket and over commits, John Wall is your guy.
And I bet you never played a lick of organized basketball at a high level ..
Man.......I hope the Knicks pick up christian wood smh. He'd be HAPPY EXACTLY what we need off the bench behind Ju. Quick, hart, hartenstien, divascenzo, and wood would be a potent second string.
My bad, I don't know how the word "HAPPY" got in there smh......
Philly cud use all these players
Christian Wood is not signed because hes a black hole on offense that cant defend a traffic cone. He’s also really bad for lockerooms since his detroit days. I still think some playoff team can definetly use a scoring punch off the bench though
What about bol bol man I wish the heat would pick him up
Mostly they have bad contracts that they have not lived up to, no team wants to pay big money for them.
Nigga said juicy offers 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Not having Trendon Watford on this list is both expected and plain disgusting.
I wanna see Christian Wood play next to a defensive minded center that doesn't really need the ball. Somebody like Mitchell Robinson Rudy Gobert or maybe even Clint Capella. Actually Atlanta might be the best spot for him. He could be a better version of John Collins and would have 2 pgs feeding him the ball and also 2 solid defenders down low in Capella and Okongwu and a solid 3 and D wing in Hunter. Idk just tryna find a spot for him before he be ass out. The NBA hates big men for some reason
jalen green is kelly oubre if he doesn’t improve
Kings should have signed PJ washington, but took Barnes mid ass
Christian Wood is probably asking for a big salary and he doesn't realize how his awful defensive performance screwed him out of getting paid, and now he has to take a big discount
1. Wood is a net negative when on the court and does not contribute to winning. Not to mention that there were allways locker room issues on any team. There is a reason why no team he was ever on wants him back. He could sign a vet Min contract any time, but thinks he should be payed the big bucks.
2. Washington has the problem, that every team that could be interested knows that the Hornets would just match a normal offer and that he isnt worth a true overpay. So why should they even offer a fair contract?
3. Oubre is the same as Wood...
4. Not sure what he wants money wise. But at this moment its clear that he isnt an efficient Ballhandler anymore.
5. Ayo resigned, so that topic is over.
The talent on this list is pretty crazy. Ayo is a good fit in boston. Pj Washington will get 3yr 27million from somebody
They are restricted free agents. Their current teams will likely bring them back. They aren't vet minimum players
The last guy you mentioned sounds perfect for the Sacramento Kings
