was there and what's enjoyable is the commentary simple and always positive to both sides just lovely to listen to and penalties given no player argued about it just excepted what the ref awarded. Used to get such a match day buzz always great to watch Norwich.
I was a regular at carrow road back then. Great team, deehan was my favourite very underrated. Almost the same 11 players lifted the league cup the next year.
Thanks for upload - I was at this game, but the reason I enjoyed watching( like a lot of 'older' recorded matches) is that it's not over edited,(you don't need 4 replays of every goal + 1 for 'the goal celebration'),the commentator doesn't just run on & on, & it's doesn't have the fake 'Atmosphere' that has become standard - pyrotechnics, goal music, synchronised flag waving etc..
Forgot to mention we went blue for a period for some reason. What went on there then? Thank God for resuscitation! Bless em. For a season. Give em that at least. Good luck those town folk.
A time when they/you spent 89 minutes pretending your not hurt. Compared to ninety minutes of pretending you are hurt. How times change. Evolution hey!? The oestrogen really started to kick in by these times. What our grandparents put on the table on a Sunday has certainly changed that's for sure. Crazy looking back at the area of carrow road. In footage back in time before Man Utd fans got the kids to set the place alight because they were actually getting beat up. Such a desolate area with the railway lines but Bolton and Paul ammunition works just over along where the shopping area, apartments and tetherspoons. Bleak but great times. Where people couldn't imagine when a certain pair of clubs used to visit our city. The mass concentration of the colour red. Sorry not you arsenal. And that tiny thin blue line in between. Luckily there's other things to do nowadays Football was huge part of life. When there was less grey areas as a game compared to it today. They've ruined it. Getting athletes to play football instead of other way round. Oldest colours in the history of football. Yellow and green. The city put out the same colour bunting for the arrival of queen Elizabeth the first. Went to most of the games away as well. Great days.
MOREOVER,WHEN NORWICH WENT UP IN 1982 OR SO WITH THAT FANTASTIC TEAM AND RUN,APPARENTLY IT WAS THE FIRST SEASON OF THREE POINTS FOR A WIN.HAD IT STILL BEEN TWO,THEY MAY HAVE BEEN PIPPED BY SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY,BY ONE POINT! SO I BELIEVE,DOESN'T MAKE IT TRUE THOUGH DOES IT?!
Morris Johnston, I thought the commentator said Boris Johnson at the 10 minute mark. It made me chuckle a bit, thinking of our bumbling muppet haired pm scoring a goal.
can you imagine the next PM Labours lying slightly camp light on his feet upper class twit Sir kneesa lot starmer running around a pitch or for that matter even just running 😂🤣

I was probably at this match and most likely still have the match programme for it and possibly tickets too !
RIP Withey Windows. Stopped trading in 1995, dissolved in 2004.
I was there . Buggered if I can remember it now 😅
Same as Dan! Different game I know that,
Mike channon is a wonderful player at 80s
And john deehan is a wonderful player
He'd lost his speed ,but was good at encouraging the players around him, like Louis Donowa..
He wasn't bad in his twenties and thirties as well.😉
How we could have used this scoreline last night
Imagine just 1 substitute now 😮

Clubs record win is 10 2
Norwich beat Colchester by a full handful….7-1.
Not the best ever result at all! Colchester was 7-1!
Shep Shep 7-1 L
How about 8-0 against Sutton Utd in fa Cup .. a certain Malcolm Allen scored five if I remember..
"This remains Norwich City's biggest win *in the top division of English football* "
Not the top now ;)
