Thanks for being here everyone, can't wait to take you all along on this journey!
❤ The smallest weakest Raven will be forced out of the nest…we raised a Raven years ago..she was brilliant and loved decorating. We gave her boxes and she’d fill them with flowers and shiny objects..the Raven eventually ventured out on her own and made a family!!
Also, you can teach Ravens how to talk.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Ravens are smarter than a few people I know.....no, really!!! 🤣
I move to my little piece of land in 21 days. Me, my sister, our dogs, and a camper. We are grandmas, so it's now or never! Our kids think we are cool...lol... 🐾🌲🙏😊
That’s amazing 🥳
Love it,it will be a great adventure.
Congratulations! You both enjoy! I think you are cool too, fellow Grandma! ❤
Glad to hear you gals finally get to do what you have dreamed of 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸❤️❤️
You are cool! ☺️💗 good luck and enjoy!
The beauty. Akela sitting in the snow quietly, the baby birds, the clouds coming down, the mountains. Pure beauty.
If video can be poetic this is it!
Use that wind! Consider a wind turbine!
That's a great idea
Slash wind wall for any future gardening yikes 😳
Watch some wind turbine videos first. Lots of advice saying there more work than they're worth
Another person who lived in his van for a long time and bought property about a year ago, built a large deck (with partial canopy) around the area where he parks his van. He also built an outdoor shower & started a garden.
Now he is taking his time to build his home.
That is max and occy, he is in a rainforest in Australia.
Love that idea!
@@l.b.3148 they are the best 😀
Yes, it’s a cool location he’s got, but why he went back to Australia is a super sad story! 😢
Love this one ❤
Also love your long winded way of saying youll be enjoying the journey. Ive watched some of my favourite youtubers burnout because they're trying so hard to get a project done every week for the algorithm. Believe me, we dont care about projects from start to finish in half an hour. We just feel so privileged to be invited on your journey with you! Even if it's for a cuppa tea! Thanks for sharing Linnea, Akela looks puppylike ❤
Looking forward to seeing you and the boys reunited soon ❤
Thank you so much for saying that and easing any pressure. You're so sweet!
As we say here in Ireland ‘ You’re a mighty woman for one woman ‘ !
Akela looks like she is having the time of her life! How special to have a new family of Ravens. Lovely to be able to observe them❤
Linnea one baby step at a time. It can be very overwhelming so just one thing first then another, goggle anything you do not know, I am 77 now and built out my van with this method. It took three months and lots of videos and research. The first year after completion I made two road trips to California from Ontario Canada and then a fall trip to Newfoundland. All together I was gone nine months and it was amazing time.
Sounds awesome, especially at 77‼️ Wishing you MANY MORE HAPPY MILES (err…. kms) to come! Cheers (also) from 🇨🇦
🤠👍🏼☮️
As you enjoy your journey building your dream homestead...we are so fortunate to be along on this journey with you. We own a little cabin in the Northwoods...and truly we too have learned a lot including drilling for water. We continue to learn and we are 73 years old...what a blessing. We wish you the same joy with your land.
I'm a mother of two daughter's and I can't help but to express how proud I am of you! You've got this!
Thank you!
It’s great you are moving slowly with your projects. Taking time to be in the moment enjoying each step. 😊
Between her van and Chris' big bus, surely they don't need to worry right off about living space 😊
Yes! Very excited to take it slowly and learn along the way.
Thoughts from across the pond.
Really loving these last two videos! They don't have to be packed full of doing, sharing your thoughts and working things out is as beautiful as the scenery. After the last video I was trying to work out what my resonance is with you and your journey in particular, I get an almost content, kind of relaxed feeling while watching. I woke up the next day and it struck me, you are in your right place! I mean that not in a geographical sense, although that may also be true. You appear to me to be in your right place within, listening to the things you need to, pushing past those you don't. This is not to say that life is easy and challenges and difficulties are not present, but the depth of connection you move towards is bringing clarity, genuineness and the truthfulness of yourself. When we do this and connect with ourselves and live our life in this way I thinks happiness becomes a familiar guest.
I have never seen Akela so happy! I mean, consistently happy. She loves your new home and on some level she seems to know instinctively, that it is home. I know the word Home means different things to everyone and especially for a nomad like yourself. But you have given us access to a tiny window thru which we view your life. This access, this is where I see a future spilling over with the warmth of a fireplace, a harmony with land and the simple joy of living... and I am at peace for you.
Love your wisdom, your ability, your stamina, your courage, your self made life, which I know is not an easy thing to do, but you follow through, and if it doesn’t go your way - you honour that too - because you embrace it as a learning curve that matters. From your episode today I take to my heart that I also will do my best to enjoy the whole process with my own projects a little step at a time and just be grateful that I can. Thank you Linnéa ❤
I really admire you. I am turning 56 and had so much that I wanted to do in life, but if I don’t know what I am doing, I procrastinate and then, just don’t do it because I get so overwhelmed. Good for you and keep going.
I loved this! Akela looks like she's waiting for Kobuk to return! I'm excited for you!💛
Really Enjoying where your going with this channel ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
I'm glad you're showing the incremental details that result in progress. Your spirit is a joy to witness.
And we are great full that you are sharing your beautiful experience with us. Thank you so much !
Akela is such a smart, sweet companion. She love you very much. You both are lucky.💜
She is the best!
Looks like Akela is happy to be home.
Big projects can always be overwhelming.
Best practices is to figure out what all the small projects are within the large project, prioritize them and then complete the small projects beginning with the one that needs to be done first.
Infrastructure tends to be the first thing you need to take care of.
The shed is a good start as it is a workspace and provides additional shelter.
First, the little bit with Akela sitting and looking to the right?? Frame worthy. Omg.. it was just perfect. lol. Thanks for sharing. I’m so happy for you and for all of the little bits and pieces coming together! And your outlook? Amazing. Enjoying the journey. I needed that reminder..of just how important that is. Your land is beautiful. Can’t wait til next week! ❤
I mean there are no proper words for all the feelings I feel right now after watching this video. I am grateful to you, Linnea, for reminding me to remember to be grateful and enjoy the moments and the small beauties that surround us every day.Thank you
Aw that's wonderful! I'm so glad you enjoyed!
Love watching this adventure unfold. Happy for you that you have youth on your side to undertake this journey. Praying that you still have many more years with your sweet Akela as she is so fun to watch.
Thank you so much!
Just be patient and everything will come together don’t worry to much about it you doing good for the first time land owner ❤❤❤
When you go into to that shipping container, be sure to have the doors latched so they won't close on you trapping you inside. I know your smart but just be aware. I drove trucks for a living and people unknowingly have trapped them selves inside and died because they didn't latch the doors after swinging them open. All shipping containers like that have latches on the side to do just that.
I also thought about that. Please be safe.
Wow - noted. Thank you!
I actually know of 2 people that it happened to and it's a miracle the one guy was actually heard yelling at the top of his lungs that someone was close enough to hear him the other case wasn't so lucky she went into her container to get something and it shut behind her from the wind and someone found her like 6 weeks later from the smell. Man it made me really aware and awake
😮
Remember back to the van build? Come so far! Accomplishing so much! Good for you girl! 😊
You can put yr van beside the container to block the wind you wont feel so cold
So much to come! So excited to see all that you do with your property nnn
Isn’t the walk from the van to the container enough exercise? 🤣🤣🤣💙
Wait till the plants need water 5 times a day. We have electricity and Country living is hard and always learning something, at the cost of something else. We grow animals that are adapted to our arid climate, also being around a firewood source is important
Such wisdom for a young lady! You can do all that you want, the world is open to you ❣️
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉you came a long way very proud of you and I’m so excited and happy for you ❤❤❤
You are inspiring me ! I’m tired of the chaos in the city ❤❤
Linnea, thanks for being so real and relatable. You are lovely. And so happy. And that spreads happiness to all of us too. Blessings and love, American Grace in Sri Lanka 🌺❣️🌺❣️
Aw thank you for saying that!
I like your long winded thoughts. It’s nice hear the good lessons in life through different perspectives and with intention ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Still so interesting and full of great feelings!! Thank you Linnea 😍🤩
We love you. So proud of you. You are loved. Keep going or stop when you need to. 👌🌅
Thank you! :)
I've lived totally off grid, water haul on 60 acres in Northern Arizona for 34 years now. 10 miles back off pavement. Good luck, best wishes, hit me up if you need help. Love and light and positive vibes ❤
Sounds like an amazing life!
Yay! Looking forward to all the changes ... I felt the same way when I bought, You got this !! ❤
I was thinking the same thing about the wood stove ! 🤦♀️
I am so grateful for finding your channel, for watching your experience and growth! For getting to know you and Akela. Your videos have really been a bright light in my life lately! Thank you! You are amazing. ❤😊
Oh I'm so so glad you're enjoying it! Thank you so much!!
good luck did the same thing 25 years ago. still here.
Glad you’re factoring wind direction into your plans. I was thinking about that when you were talking about the rollup door in the container.
Love your stated intention.
Thanks!
Wow!! I forgot how much I love your simple planning videos ~ Reminds me of your OG videos when you would visualize and draw your plans for the build first. So proud and happy for how far you’ve come from. So excited to see your studio come to life!
Thank you so much!
Keep us posted about the details of the type of pump, horsepower, voltage. I would double check everything, wire type etc.. But the "well" business/farming is what makes Wisconsin such a great state. everybody has a well, ,, learn this formula, real simple.. 1 horsepower needs 746 watts, if you divide that by your voltage, that is your amps. Keep your power source close to where it is needed. Let us know how many HP is recommended, along with flowrate. Pipe size, sorry about all the questions. , the more homework equals better results, you are awesome! Go forth and conquer your happy place, there is nothing better, 🤠
Thank you
Think of all that you are and will learn. You will accomplish many things and live to the fullest. That's something many of us wish we could do! 😊😊😊😊
Thank you!
I admire your strength and perseverance ❤😊🙌🙏🏻
Thank you for all the beautiful reminders you bring every video again. Seeing you grow and evolve, learn and become even more authentic is inspiring and always brings a powerful moment of self reflection.
Thank you so much!
The county seat is where you file property stuff.
You go girl, love everything you do!!!
Snowing here today near Breckenridge, CO.
U know, ive always dreamed of buying land in the middle of the woods. But, since ive seen the views u have and four seasons, I am not sure what im gonna do now. Can’t wait to see how u build up your homestead.
As always, great video and be safe!!
Great video, and glad to hear you have such a great support system for questions and help. Also welcome to sound time in the Rockies where it snows into June sometimes. I wouldn't trade it for the world though.
This video is so great! Just seeing you and Akela being so happy and grateful makes me smile from ear to ear. Thank you for bringing us along! How sweet to have a raven family on your land! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Love the shot of Akela sitting in the snow just looking around!! Beautiful!! Thanks for reminding us to slow down and enjoy the "now"!!
I love hearing your ideas. We bought raw land, it was 4 years before we had a structure to legally live in and 12 years to build the main house.
Have you thought about using the container for wind break or shade for your outdoor living space?
Thank you.
You're doing amazing!
Thank you!
I have been meaning to let you know that I feel like you have a natural talent for the pottery making! I really love your work and you are just starting out and learning and already your work is amazing and just on point! Thanks for reminding us to stay humble and grateful! It keeps away the negativity and any depression! A grateful heart can’t be depressed 🤩 love you and Akela ❤
I loved this video, and I am so proud of you 👏 on your land purchase. Love from sunny South Africa 🇿🇦
Omg what a great property you purchased. Giving us a tour was amazing. The landscape is breathtaking. Go girl, « follow your dreams « !!! Waiting patiently for your next video. 🇨🇦😊
Thank you!
That part of the state is so amazing. Congrats on your own space and looking forward to what you do with it. Cheers!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful video and experience. It touched my heart. You are authentic and real. Continue doing what you do. It's wonderful! Big hugs 💙🙏
I'm so glad you enjoyed!
@@Linneaandakela 💙
You are doing good 👍
I just found your channel. Can’t wait to follow along.
Welcome!
Every time I watch your videos, I want to like it. But then I realize that this is a UA-cam video. lol!! Consider this a huge like. 😁
Your video is just fine. It is raw and honest. It also has a good cadence and flow. Just keep doing your thing. On another note, I am planning to buy 5 acres and building-out a container home so I am learning a lot from you.
Thank you so much!
Such joy emanating from you! A joy to watch you drinking in your lifes adventure on your new land. I loved the Raven nest!
Heck I loved it all. Thank you for sharing your thought out plans. Such fun to share your energy.
Awesome video. Great to take a deeper dive with you. Truthspeaking makes the most interesting material. Always good to hear your innermost thoughts. The positive overide is effective also..guess it's the dance between the two.
Shipping containers make lovely tiny homes too, The desert looks very pretty with the snow about your are blessed to have found this gorgeous piece of land . Your such a positive confident individual , , I know what you do with your land will be beautiful.
Yes! I can imagine it! It’s going to be exciting to watch your plans unfold. I am glad you are taking your time and soaking it all in! Aww, baby ravens just raise that oxytocin level. ❤
you can easily reduce your workouts to 30 minutes max, if you're constantly futzing with your property. Shoulders and core would be a great focus, as 80% of your work outside your gym is going to be back and bicep and hamstring intensive.
That unlimited and seemingly steady wind can generate tens of thousands of dollars per year in wind farm electricity
It’s great to see how happy you and Akela are being back in the desert. It’s so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
lots of wind gets you wind power, pump, electric.....simple systems out there!!!!!
This is going to be so fun to watch :)
How exciting it's going to be following along on your new journey! I loved this video, so be careful and don't let doubts of not delivering enough information to us start working on your psyche. Letting us know where you are in your planning stages is fun for all of us. It was great to hear your goals, see (sort of) the plans you've drawn up, etc. And, then playing with Akela is part of who you are, and that's fun for all of us, too. One small piece of advise - never ever be reluctant to ask for help!!!!! You can plan on building your cabin/house/shed, but you will need help along the way. Accept whatever help is offered - no matter who it's from. It will help you build wonderful memories!!! Stay strong, Stay Kind. xoxoxoxoxox

I really enjoy watching your interaction with Akela, there is sooo much love there!
There is, indeed!
You are my Therapy and thanks for the almost weekly video's , that I look forward too!!
I'm so glad you enjoy them!
You're such a smart young lady! Yes enjoy every moment, be grateful for everything & everyone cuz tomorrow is not promised...Wish you nice days...
Thank you!
You need to do this together with your partner. When there are 2 people working together things just work differently … sometimes more smoothly (if your energies align).
I like working alone, thank you.
Have you thought about building a roof covered deck around the container? It would give you a ton of outdoor space with the option of closing some of it in,in the future.
Yes, great idea! We'll see what I land on ...
Just found your channel. Love it! I’m looking forward to following your journey. Watching from Perth Western Australia 🦘🇦🇺🐨
Aw I'm so glad you found us! Welcome and thanks for joining! :)
Akela steals the show! Such a happy puppers.
Your videography makes me feel so happy.
Cheers.
She's the best!
What an awesome video, thankyou :)
Akela LOVES it there, what a blessing
No YOU ARE HALF WAY THERE AND ITS SOOOOO WORTH IT. YOU ARE IN YOUR ELIMENT GIRL YOU GOT THIS!!
Thank you!
There's the little miracles ... sweet baby birds
Still fun for me to watch because it's these subtle changes that all add up. Thank you for showing the slower moments not just all the active moments.
Yes the slow progress is always exciting!
Thanks for sharing your journey and teaching us lessons of living along the way.
Wow 👌 This was a really nice and beautiful one 👍 I’ve followed you and Akela for some years (since the beginning I gueuss) and I’ve watched every video you have posted. A lot of things have happend and your lifes have evolved. Some how this video connected the Linnea and Akela from the start of the channel, with Linnea and Akela to day. Wiser and older, but so clearly the same two souls that moved in to a van some years ago.
Definitely not a long winded way...insightful and with depth ❤ to you and your furry friend
Blessings!!💚🧍♀️🐕
Thanking God
Its so nice to see how grateful you are, you truly live in an amazing time in history, were raised by beautiful parents who taught you to be adventurous and independent. Sometimes when you are mentioning all the things you are grateful for I wonder why Chris is not mentioned and how he feels about it, if he even watches your videos. Just a thought. 🤷♀️ Have fun, be safe! 😊
I am so so excited to watch the property become home for you guys!!!
Very excited for you. I am on my own journey to sell my house and buy a piece of land. My timeline is just happening much later in life than yours. Looking forward to following this new journey.
I am on a similar journey as you, at 55.

Sounds amazing!
Thank you for sharing your property intentions. It was so heartfelt and such beautiful reminder
The scene with Akela sitting in the snow as she looked at the beautiful mountain makes a great still shot. I was wondering, with all of your other projects, if you've considered publishing a book of photos from all the places you've been and the incredible scenery?
