Volume 0 Synopsis This may be a story of the past that had been concealed, and mustn't be seen. About 20 years before Kiyotaka Ayanokōji enrolled at Advanced Nurturing High School. There was a man. Atsuomi Ayanokōji, aged 31. A politician. Atsuomi was born as a "have-not" in Japan's society of disparity, but there was one thing he possessed more than anybody else. That is---his uncontrollable, ever-expanding "ambition". Atsuomi had been doing dirty work for Ninosuke Naoe, the head of the Naoe faction that he was a part of. As a chance to reward all the hard work that he had done, Naoe offers him a top-secret project: The founding of an institution for a 'Talented Persons Nurturing Program,' which is under the direct control of the government. Atsuomi, who is busy pursuing his ambitions, brings them to fruition and names the institution he establishes――the White Room. He had also started on another project... To get his own biological child to join him in the White Room. This is the beginning of everything. A story about the "dissection" of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji. Within a cold white room, what does the future look like in the eyes of a young child?
Ryuuen is not a bad guy per se but he's willing to do bad things to win just like Ayano but he acknowledges it whereas Ayano completely lacks compassion.
@@mxblitzgaming4907 if you are talking about the deal where manabu should ahve asked kiyotaka to join council not horikita Then i guess because ultimately she is going to join student council and well kiyotaka was aiming for it in Ln if you remember They did change a lot of stuff so its not a big thing and well it still is atleast somewhat following Ln which is fine
@@ajlaan9806 im talking about the current student council president deal, like won’t that change the plot next season. Also I’m not super ahead in the LN
@@mxblitzgaming4907 I guess they changed it because of how they want to portray it like how they portrayed the Arisu meeting when it was supposed to be at the end of episode 6 or volume 5. They might make some changes to the pacing on how they will adapt it I guess they might make a scene that isn't in the light novel. This is just what my opinion is though.
First season last episode: Everyone is a tool. Second season last episode: Everyone is a tool but maybe that could change: Third season last episode maybe: I like this person.
Im surprised they didnt mention Ryuuen's goal of earning 20m x (Whatever number people class c had). It was why Ryueen's main goal back in the island survival test was to get the money oontract from class A. Made ryueen a bit more sympathetic, and characterises him as more than a violence loving mf.
As LN reader let me tell you ayanokoji never say that i judge you unworthy of smile for he genuinely enjoyed the date he also thank her this experience in his life or he also say he doesn't have the promise with manabu or his father not hunting him he might except her feelings There is second promise with manabu is stop the nagumo
Nice reaction ! The anime lacks some important explanations about why Ryueen wanted to drop out. In the LN, after the incident Ryueen threatens Ayanokoji to say it was him who started all of this and put the responsability on him as they are the injured ones here. But Ayanokoji says that he was seen on the cameras at the Keyaki Mall at the moment the camera was destroyed in the gym so he had an alibi (this is the entire reason why he was with his friends before going to save Kei). On top of this he has witnesses who can testify if necessary (Manabu and the teacher). If Ayanokoji wanted to, he could easily sacrifice his and Kei's secrets and tell everything about what happened here, combined with the testimony of Manabu and the teacher, it would result in the expulsion of the four of them, so class C is at an overwhelming disadvantage. That's why Ryueen tried to take all the responsability and drop out. But he was stopped by the fact class D took responsability for the cameras and also the fact that Albert and Ishizaki were ready to drop out if ryueen were to drop out, blackmailing him into staying the school. And about the ending with Sakayanagi, in the LN it happened right after the sports festival, Sakayanagi saying the she remembered Ayanokoji immediately by seeing him running. He said she must be mistaken and was about to leave when she talked about the "White Room". Hearing those words, he felt shock for the first time in the LN. He couldn't believe she knew about his past. As for the difference between the anime and the LN, it's very hard to adapt the LN correctly because there are some many details, so many depth to the reasonings of the characters and so many different interactions that it's impossible to adapt 5 volumes correctly in 13 episodes. The LN is truely mindblowing when we realise the extent of the abilities of these students. But the anime don't depict this and also all the interactions that happen, so the universe feel more empty than in the LN. Also they kind of exagerated the coldness of Ayanokoji. He's cold in the LN but it's less brutal than this, for example Sato's confession was actually a kind of important moment for him as it was the first confession he's ever received in his life, he just doesn't feel anything for anyone atm. Personnally I think that the LN and the anime are completely different experiences but it's actually a bit better than I imagined it would be considering they were covering 4 volumes in 13 episodes
When he rejected satou, it broke my heart into a million pieces 💔. Idk how I’m gonna manage if he rejects Sakura like that as well😭. For this very reason, I hope she doesn’t confess to him
Good episode, but in LN Kiyotaka and Kei's parts are filled with romantic and refreshing scenes, but the studio turned it bad as if Kiyotaka was just using Kei. I think they want to make the ending like the first season (a tool monologue). But yknow, actually Kiyotaka wasn't that evil, at that moment he wanted to feel emotions with Kei as his partner, and said Kei would be an important figure for him in the future. But still peak episode! Also, i really like the fact that Ryuen is trying to get himself drop out and doesn't want to involve the others (Ishizaki, Albert, and Ibuki). Ryuen is a dictator, but he always prioritizes his class. That's why he's the best villain in the series! So excited for season 3!!!
Ayanokouji the "Savagery". Lol I didn't like Ayanokouji VA at first, but now this cold savage behavior fits so well with the voice. Looking forward for the 3rd season ^^b. Gonna withhold reading LN until s3 ends lets go~
12:20 it's a toss up, if you're both shy, the movie you just watched could be an ice breaker, so you have that as a common ground to start conversation during dinner. If you've already been talking before hand than yeah, its a waste of both time and money
I still find it funny that technically ayanokoji has been on 2 dates before this. Both of them were accidental dates with ibuki and they were in my opinion the funniest ibuki moments of the light novel.
Guys Why r they trying to show ayano more of trash I mean in the L N ayano yes sayed that she isn’t like karizawa But he really had fun and he also sayed that he might think of dating her “ to know the dark side 😂“ But yeah he didn’t say “ you r unworthy for smiling “
As an ln reader, kinda dissappointed. Kiyo didnt want to use her as a tool anymore unlike here. So much of content was cut here. Nagumo interrupting the double date, the promise Kiyo made to Manabu was changed, Kiyo never intented for her to be dependent on him, thats y he saved her after she was bullied, so she could move forward from her past. By not being overly dependent on him. Not sure if I am excited for s3.
This is what clinical psychopathy looks like, not all psychopaths murder, but the tool view and manipulation will never change, just hope he starts promoting to pieces better than pawns, maybe a knight and a queen 😁
To a lot of LN reader this was better than ss1 simply because, Kei is best girl. Kiyotaka n Kei have been in the top 5 most liked male and female LN MCs for almost a decade now for a reason
I know Ayanokouji seems like to be a very cold and smart charactere in general, but this time I think we saw how his rational way of thinking can outplay himself, espacially when it comes to his realtionship with Kei: In fact, Ayanokouji planned to "bond" Kei on himself with his actions, but he thinks it worked out because she is depending on him and his protection still to this moment. Altough, we, the audience, know that Kei wants "to be used" by him, because she developed feelings for Ayanokoiji. In Ayanokoujis eyes it probably would not make sense for Kei to love him after what he did to her. But beliefing she's still depending on him and underestimating her character developement could possible surprise him in the future, for example if she gets tired to chase after him and choose to continue her life without him because she now has the self confidence to act on her own because of Ayanokouji
Really hoping Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is next or eventually reaches this channel. Anyways though, thanks for reacting to Cote and sticking with us even when it got bad.
Great reaction :D Well the 2nd season ended as well :( Now we have to wait for s3 My suggestions: Erased (a 12 ep anime it's cool and mysterious i would say) Parasite (kinda cool don't remember how many episodes not my top favorite but it's good) Bunny girl senpai (13 epi guess and a movie + s2 is confirmed but not when it comes out i would definitely advise watching it) it's kinda romance + mystery
Well showing Ayano being cold af with satou was a very anime-kinda thing since anime's been portraying him as a cold-hearted fella without emotions ,but in LN he was pretty chilled abt it and actually used more words to reject satou's proposal , he even said that he would always remember her as the first girl who showed interest in him and had the guts to confess her feelings ... Ayano calling Kei by her first name was more dramatic in LN ,anime kinda ruined it for me due to being too straightforward like even Kei's reaction was plain lmao It actually ended on a gud note and by giving a last minute confrontation between Ayano & Arisu ,they legit created a pretty decent hype for s3 ... They changed the whole promise thing with Manabu ,which ig is a shame cuz i was looking forward to the convo between Ayano ,Ryuuen & Manabu ,but that promise he made in LN wouldn't have made sense cuz it was related to nagumo and we weren't shown anything abt him lol Ayano literally went to watch a movie alone ,like before his date and other stuff ,and met Ibuki there ,in LN that interaction was just hilarious plus she challenged him for a rematch and Ayano clapped her again lol Overall it was a good wrap up ,not sayin s2 outdid s1 ,no i don't think so personally ,but the last two eps literally carried this one at least
@@anlomedmed yea anime made it up, in the Ln he appreciated it cause that's the first time someone invited him on a date and the first time someone confessed to him, he said he'll never forget it
About the one with Sato in anime isn't done correctly at ALL. In LN he's said that he genuinely enjoyed the double date and that she's a great person. And IF not for the Student Council (his promise) and his Father(targeting him) his answer may have been different. Ayanokoji in anime is done like a mf edgelord. In Light Novel he's a more normal guy, who's had complex and terrible past that he can't escape but he WANTS to. He wants to be normal, but anime makes him an edgelord 💀
Yeah the one thing I don’t like about the anime version of Ayanokoji is that they make him seem devoid of all emotions instead of just not understanding them. Since it started in s1 it woulda been weird to just randomly make him closer to his LN version so now there 2 different versions of Ayanokouji (3 if you wanna count the cursed manga) whcih leads to misunderstandings for anime only fans who only see the top layer and LN readers who get a deeper look into his mind
Personally double dates for the first date is weird to me but maybe I’m just thinking too deep into it. Idk I just wanna talk to that person one on one on a date ig?
I would suggest reading the LN, at least up until vol 7.5 where Season 1 and 2 covers. It will give you a better understanding of Ayanokoji's character. There are a lot of cut scenes which is obvious because the anime can only squeeze in 20mins of content. I assure you you'll enjoy reading (coming from someone who hates to read). I think they portray Kiyopon edgy in Anime to at least have anime-only give the LN a chance to read. The LN is just masterpiece!
The dialogue of all things in this episode was kinda disappointing. For one, they made Koji seem like an asshole who didn’t care about anyone. In the LN he wasn’t the cold edgy anime teenager towards Satou. He appreciated her gesture to ask him out for a date on Christmas and it was something he wouldn’t forget. Also I feel like his inner monologue about Kei was slightly changed to fit the edgy teen troupe. Finally, with how short the Sakayanagi/Ayanokoji encounter was, it gives anime-only fans the impression that Sakayanagi is from the White Room as well, but she only knows of it and Ayanokoji from the outside, seeing him when her father worked under his father in the White Room. Don’t get me wrong, this season had it’s good and bad moments but I don’t wanna be fhe LN reader who’s like “But WAAAAAAIIIIIITTTTT. It WasN’t lIKE thAt iN the LN”
hey, do you ship sakura with ayanokoji? (the pink haired girl from ayanakoji group) .........if you do, then you might have to read the name of the ship you are riding 'titanic'
Sakayanagi is actually smarter then Ayanokoji. Not by much, but enough to make a difference. He on the other hand has the superior education/experience. Their clash is my favourite moment in the LN, better even then the 'spread your legs' and ryuen beatdown scene.
This episode... a lot about it it's just BAD. But i can't handle they making Kiyo a cruel asshole and changing the stuff about Kei. It was just horrible, kinda ruined the character for me. Why change how he actually feels about Kei?
A bit disappointing to have a full on romance episode as the finale.. seems out of place But him saying he'll get Kushida expelled was satisfying enough coz we know damn we'll he won't fail
The anime is good for getting people into the actual series, but it can't even be compared to the LN. I'm not in the LN community so idk how toxic people are but the difference between the two media is too aparent. The LN has like 100k words per Volume, a lot of monologues that make Koji a completely different character. An example is that line of "being unworthy of smiling", that's just edgy and untrue to what's in the LN. The director threw away writing and complexity for making him "cool"
The reason to why ayanokoji accepted Sato's date offer or whatever u wanna call it, is simply because he had never been on a date before and though it would be a fun experience
Ow 💔💔
Literally using that opportunity (Sato) to try it
It was also because by that point he'd rejected her invitations to hang out 2 times already, so he didn't want to keep doing that
@@alcz6173 now that makes more sense

enjoyed the reaction for Cote and also there's another show with a mc like ayanokoji it's called tomodachi game and the mc is basically if ayanokoji had emotions or showed facial expressions 😂
Volume 0 Synopsis
This may be a story of the past that had been concealed, and mustn't be seen.
Cant wait for season 3 as Ln reader
Do you know why they changed the manabu deal ?
@@mxblitzgaming4907 if you are talking about the deal where manabu should ahve asked kiyotaka to join council not horikita
Then i guess because ultimately she is going to join student council and well kiyotaka was aiming for it in Ln if you remember
They did change a lot of stuff so its not a big thing and well it still is atleast somewhat following Ln which is fine
@@ajlaan9806 im talking about the current student council president deal, like won’t that change the plot next season. Also I’m not super ahead in the LN
@@mxblitzgaming4907 No it won't its ok for now
@@mxblitzgaming4907 I guess they changed it because of how they want to portray it like how they portrayed the Arisu meeting when it was supposed to be at the end of episode 6 or volume 5. They might make some changes to the pacing on how they will adapt it I guess they might make a scene that isn't in the light novel. This is just what my opinion is though.
love the hoodie teddy!!
First season last episode: Everyone is a tool.
Second season last episode:
Everyone is a tool but maybe that could change:
Third season last episode maybe: I like this person.
16:12 That was priceless🤣🤣
I'm jp but I am so glad you look so happy to watch this anime. cause I love this LN the best ngl.
As LN reader let me tell you ayanokoji never say that i judge you unworthy of smile for he genuinely enjoyed the date he also thank her this experience in his life or he also say he doesn't have the promise with manabu or his father not hunting him he might except her feelings
There is second promise with manabu is stop the nagumo
Gonna miss your reaction on cote teddy 🙁
I'm gonna miss reacting to it 🥲
I am scared of ayanokoji more than anyone else in cote
thanks for all reactions
8:28 this scene caught me off guard lol
For this very reason, I hope she doesn’t confess to him
dont worry. she will be expelled
In S4 you will cry more 😆😆😆
Good episode, but in LN Kiyotaka and Kei's parts are filled with romantic and refreshing scenes, but the studio turned it bad as if Kiyotaka was just using Kei.
Gonna withhold reading LN until s3 ends lets go~
The VA improved quite alot after 86 Shin role. If you watch season 1 you would know how bad it is. Now it is so much more natural.
He is behind everything in the shadows always but soon very soon he will reveal himself 🗿
They said the animation will be polished in Blu-ray
I hope there's someone make some short video comparing those animation
When u Prefer to have a date with Ryuen than Sato xD
12:20 it's a toss up, if you're both shy, the movie you just watched could be an ice breaker, so you have that as a common ground to start conversation during dinner. If you've already been talking before hand than yeah, its a waste of both time and money
I still find it funny that technically ayanokoji has been on 2 dates before this. Both of them were accidental dates with ibuki and they were in my opinion the funniest ibuki moments of the light novel.
Guys
Why r they trying to show ayano more of trash
I mean in the L N ayano yes sayed that she isn’t like karizawa
But he really had fun and he also sayed that he might think of dating her “ to know the dark side 😂“
But yeah he didn’t say “ you r unworthy for smiling “
As an ln reader, kinda dissappointed. Kiyo didnt want to use her as a tool anymore unlike here. So much of content was cut here. Nagumo interrupting the double date, the promise Kiyo made to Manabu was changed, Kiyo never intented for her to be dependent on him, thats y he saved her after she was bullied, so she could move forward from her past. By not being overly dependent on him. Not sure if I am excited for s3.
This is what clinical psychopathy looks like, not all psychopaths murder, but the tool view and manipulation will never change, just hope he starts promoting to pieces better than pawns, maybe a knight and a queen 😁
loved your reaction
обичам те teddy♥️
Яяя ти да видиш 😝
To a lot of LN reader this was better than ss1 simply because, Kei is best girl. Kiyotaka n Kei have been in the top 5 most liked male and female LN MCs for almost a decade now for a reason
Ayanakoji: i see people as tools you got a problem with that?
Kei: oh my god that's so hot, i can fix him😍
I know Ayanokouji seems like to be a very cold and smart charactere in general, but this time I think we saw how his rational way of thinking can outplay himself, espacially when it comes to his realtionship with Kei:
In fact, Ayanokouji planned to "bond" Kei on himself with his actions, but he thinks it worked out because she is depending on him and his protection still to this moment.
Hope you will continue react for S3 also in future😆
Me too! 🤣
3rd SEASON Hype!
Great reaction :D
Well the 2nd season ended as well :(
Now we have to wait for s3
My suggestions:
Erased (a 12 ep anime it's cool and mysterious i would say)
Parasite (kinda cool don't remember how many episodes not my top favorite but it's good)
Bunny girl senpai (13 epi guess and a movie + s2 is confirmed but not when it comes out i would definitely advise watching it) it's kinda romance + mystery
I hope we will saw TRex in 3 season 😆
they will skip it
Anime is making him an edgy character and that monologue doesn't even exist "This will do." in this particular scene in LN.
Ayano calling Kei by her first name was more dramatic in LN ,anime kinda ruined it for me due to being too straightforward like even Kei's reaction was plain lmao
It actually ended on a gud note and by giving a last minute confrontation between Ayano & Arisu ,they legit created a pretty decent hype for s3 ...
They changed the whole promise thing with Manabu ,which ig is a shame cuz i was looking forward to the convo between Ayano ,Ryuuen & Manabu ,but that promise he made in LN wouldn't have made sense cuz it was related to nagumo and we weren't shown anything abt him lol
Ayano literally went to watch a movie alone ,like before his date and other stuff ,and met Ibuki there ,in LN that interaction was just hilarious plus she challenged him for a rematch and Ayano clapped her again lol
Overall it was a good wrap up ,not sayin s2 outdid s1 ,no i don't think so personally ,but the last two eps literally carried this one at least
Niiice thank you for the reaction! excited for s3! Please consider reacting to Saiki K as well =)
The dialogue on koji rejecting satou is so different, they made koji look edgy asf
Yeah he actually really appreciated her.
What does it really say? or simply the anime invented it?
?
@@anlomedmed yea anime made it up, in the Ln he appreciated it cause that's the first time someone invited him on a date and the first time someone confessed to him, he said he'll never forget it

(I met you thanks to classroom of the elite)
This volume had so much potential but they decided to cut every important thing
let's go season 3!
Sato is really a sweetheart, I felt bad for her.
Only Karuizawa can change ayanokoji
I don't want to be toxic but they cut the %90 of the double date. They cut all the interactions and the reason why Ayanokouji actually rejected Satou.
?
Yeah the one thing I don’t like about the anime version of Ayanokoji is that they make him seem devoid of all emotions instead of just not understanding them. Since it started in s1 it woulda been weird to just randomly make him closer to his LN version so now there 2 different versions of Ayanokouji (3 if you wanna count the cursed manga) whcih leads to misunderstandings for anime only fans who only see the top layer and LN readers who get a deeper look into his mind
@@LewdForgerisREAL the anime messed up the character of Ayanokoji.
He's way more complex and interesting than the edgy version of the anime
@@Coreyy12 nice opinion, every people have a way to judge characters

arisu not from white room
Personally double dates for the first date is weird to me but maybe I’m just thinking too deep into it. Idk I just wanna talk to that person one on one on a date ig?
Can u react to cyberpunk edgerunners

Sakayanagi is actually smarter then Ayanokoji. Not by much, but enough to make a difference. He on the other hand has the superior education/experience. Their clash is my favourite moment in the LN, better even then the 'spread your legs' and ryuen beatdown scene.
