I think the device is supported, try installing the nexus app, if you already have then go to settings then select the app and check all of the permissions. Sorry for responding late
Im not sure if you still need this and sorry for my delay, you can uninstall and install the app again and it will tell you to go to accessibly settings and allow the device to appear on top of apps

You made me nervous.. 😅 I have a Galaxy S20 Ultra & you made me run to Google quick. 😂 But it says that it's not compatible with S23 series for now, but it is with the previous versions. So maybe in time, they will update it to work with yours, as that's what it seems.. Sorry, but hope this helped.
