This is the first video I've seen where u took that pigment ink on the qtip to cover up the white on the paper edges. Omg, it makes it look so much better. Thank you 🙏🏾
Mod Podge also sells a spray sealer, which I use from time to time. Aerosol products bother me a bit so I don't use it often, but it is another option. Also, the finer and softer the brush bristles are, I have better luck. I also use a sponge applicator at times. Hopefully one of these will help. Thank you for watching!
I love the way you teach, so anything you would like to demo. Making jewelry is what I like to do. I was thinking about purchasing the Glowforge. So when you mentioned it in this demo I thought, yes, please. Lol.
@@fit2fiddle2 Thanks! I am going to make some really cute earrings on it within the next several days. I have a really short video of it engraving a pencil that I will post tomorrow. Probably not what you are looking for, but I was making them for a friend's son, so thought I would record it.
I have not tried to cut wood thicker than 1/4 inch, but it can cut thin wood like that. I read online that it can do up to 1/2 inch with multiple passes but I cannot confirm that because I haven't tried it. Here is a link to where you can purchase it. glowforge.us/r/VMNZUVAR
Well explained tutorial thank you! I've been trying to make these earrings but I'm having issues with the air pockets when I apply the mod podge. No matter how hard I press the paper after adding the adhesive it still creates the air pockets Grrr... lol :/
Thank you! I wonder if ironing your paper first would help? Also, I am linking to a video where I used mod podge first, let it dry, then ironed paper down to it in order to decrease the air bubbles. ua-cam.com/video/RN2HKGucuQQ/v-deo.html
I buy the 1.5 wood Circles and punch 1.5 circles. Wow you have patience. Thanks for video!
Thank you so much for watching and letting me know what you do!
Thank you for showing me how to do this. I've been having so much fun making these nowadays. 🙏 My smile has returned. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Ren, for your super sweet comment!!!
So glad this is in my feed ☺️ I was just considering paper on vinyl. 🤗 Thank you.
Thanks so much! And paper gives you so many options for designs! Good luck with your project.
Thank you for this demo!

Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!! Yes, I think covering up those white edges really adds to the look as well.
Thanks so much! I can't wait to try! BTW...I cut my scrapbook paper on the light patterned paper setting with no issues :)
Thanks so much for letting me know! Enjoy making the earrings.
I notice when I use Mod Podge, it leaves brush marks. Does anyone have any suggestions for avoiding this problem?

Good video thanks looks good ❤
Thanks Jessie! This was a fun project for me!
Very nice tutorial. Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
How long does it take for the stain to stop smelling on the blanks?
For water based stains, most of the smell should be gone in a day or so.
Will you be doing any demonstrations with the Glowforge in the future?
Yes. I have 2 that I have been planning. Is there anything in particular you would like to see?

@@MakingwithMarilyn -Brilliant idea! I'll try that next. Thank you so much!
@@magro4764 I can’t take credit for it. I saw someone else do it on UA-cam 🙂
Does anyone sell these? If so, do they hold up afterward, or does the paper come off, any complaints? I really like this idea?
I don't sell mine, but I still have them and they look very good. I think the trick is sealing them well.
@@MakingwithMarilyn Thank you.
Just started making earrings. Could someone please tell me why I have bleed through?
Do you mean that your stain is coming through your paper?
But do they sell?
You will know your market better than I do, but they are inexpensive to make, so might be worth it to try with a limited number.
