Absolutely! Appsro returns to Earth after decades of travel to find that it's a wasteland and everyone has left for somewhere else.
the only likable thing is that its new though. If this game was like subnautica it would just be a copy anyway, so in my opinion this is just another raft or the train game what ever thats called, but this does not seem like its going to be worth playing over any other raft/subnautica clone

Dev suggestion. Add notes to the radar locations. Click the tower on the radar and it opens a notepad so you can remember what, if anything, was there.
That's always nice I always make maps and notes with every game I play I love when the games themselves let me do it easier
Thats a great idea! But would only ever work on a temporary basis. With our world being procedurally generated. Locations despawn after you get a set distance from it.

@@foreverskies Perhaps something like clicking the location on the radar thing which changes its color. We can determine what the color means to us.
I'd definitely enjoy an addition to the 00FU saga with this game. Maybe when he finally gets back to earth, this is what he finds and the company just never bothered to tell him about the virus.

Neebs Gaming got me hooked on Subnautica because of their series. This game looks like its going to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to watch you guys do another series.

I’ve been watching a lot of the Magic Dumpster lately, and Neebs never fails to enthrall and regale me with some life story or anecdote about something completely random that just happened in the game. For instance, having a moth in your mouth. 😂
I want to hear the Chapstick story!
I really wish Appsro didn't monopolize every single single player series. I'd love to see a Neebs, Dora or even Simon cinematic playthrough instead of always Appsro doing playing his one note character (impatient short tempered rage goblin).
Please do this as a series. When you guys play games like this you can tell it’s more fun.

For anyone who can send suggestions to the devs, here's one: Add a ship room that grows crops, and add a ship room that can hold foods.
Edit: Add a build your own robot pet mechanic 🤔
Add being able to construct an arcade cabinet. 😄
Add ship lights, tractor beams, more food variety like birds
it has a paint gun, and a lot of paint options, the paint gun is a pain to find but its in game.
and there is a pet you can get as well, not much to do with it but its in there

This needs to be a series part 3 of 00-FU. I could totally see him/her going to earth after below zero. Since Neebs, Simon and Dora were all fired by Thick (RIP) they could be part of this company that sent him/her to earth and are advising him/her on his/her mission.

I think it needs to be multi-player so we can get a raft-like series out of it. But a sub-nautica/outer-wilds type play-through would be just as fun!
We were about to buy it and then saw "single player". Nope I'm out. We'll stay in Ark, 7DtD, etc. If the 3 of us can't play it's meh right out of the gate.

I can agree with the music, perhaps an 'inside-theme' that natural transitions over once inside - something less eriee, sense of comfort, safety, etc.
This is the first sponsored gameplay I've seen where it doesn't feel like the UA-camr isn't just blowing smoke up the games ass and deliberately avoiding criticism. Actual constructive criticism such as this is how you improve a game.
Love this game! Didn't see this in any comments, but when you put a battery in to operate things like doors, laptops, & O2 generators, you can take it back out again when you're done. That way you don't leave useful batteries behind.
I remember you guys playing the demo. Would love a new take on the subnautica style of presentation.

How does Appsro not remember the chapstick story of Neebs wanting to sniff his chapstick, it falling out of its tube onto carpet, and Neebs panicking and smashing it into the carpet. He also only told that story on the podcast about ten times.

Just a clarification, a wind Mill uses wind to mill and a wind Turbine uses wind to spin the turbine that spins a generator to generate electricity

I remember Neebs playing that during the Thick birthday/fundraiser stream last year. Appsro was asking Dora to read out loud all the difficult names of the donors 😆

I love the shot of the airship flying. It means they had to set it to fly away, and they just stood on a platform! The only way back in at that point is to fall to your death, which makes this extra funny, because they were just talking about going deathless! :D

I feel like it should be called dust diving when you go down into the dust.
the higher you are in the atmosphere the less oxygen there is requiring more energy to do basic movements like running/swinging/etc thats why olympians train in colorado in the mountains

You could totally work this into the 00FU story:00FU finally makes it home to find that the disease they thought they stopped made it home now they are trying to find a new cure for the new earth variant
God that opening song that was used in the aura scene in the long dark is so freaking good! It makes me wanna dance!
I love this new dynamic of Appsro steering and Neebs directing helpfully ("don't forget to sleep!").
I guess this all started way back when Appsro was playing that computer game in like 2019 where Neebs was the computer system and Appsro kept getting killed over and over.
And before that, Subnautica. This is a fantastic way for two of the group to do a play along. Thanks, guys. Game looks great.
Feels like a subnautica and raft mix. Absolutely loved watching this and hope there’s more to come!
Played it through the end of the current built and really enjoyed myself. The game does have one small problem, the lack of any fear of anything. Once you build a deck extractor, condenser, a bed, cooking pot, and a purifier you’re done with what would normally be “the hard times.” You never have to worry about dying from starvation, or thirst. You can literally eat/drink synthetics forever. I guess I’m just so used to survival games being quite a bit more dangerous these days, so even though it’s a great start to a game, I always had that looming. THANKFULLY, the game gave me ample opportunities to put my own life at risk, making completely unnecessary jumps 80 stories above the dusty death-soup below. And that’s not sarcasm, I parkour’d any time I saw a gap for the thrill 😅.

It’s got a lot of room for improvement, but also has a very open style of play that should turn out to be easy for the dev to make the improvements. It’s pretty good right now, super casual, almost cathartic. Grindy as hell at times, but rewarding enough when you complete an objective you’ve set yourself. I feel like I got my moneys worth out of the run through, and feel even better knowing that there’s more to come.
The way that the inventory and picking things up works, it'd essentially be putting an inventory into an inventory. They'd need to refactor the pickup objects code to avoid destroying reality.
I like the idea of Neebs playing this and Apprso on the other side just losing his mind because of how little Neebs would be able to do lolol
Watched this then went and installed Steam and the game. First computer game in 15 years. Love it. My poor little laptop can only handle medium graphic settings and 90 FOV and still drops frames, but I spent 4 hours on it last night. Its a good one.
Neebs remembering a moth in his mouth reminded me of when he remembered that he used to smell sulfur all the time as a child
I love the intro music to this episode!
You guys may not see this, but the dust on moth and butterfly wings are scales. They help with heat regulation mainly.
Oh man, if this is another Subnautica style series I'll be delighted. I'll weep with joy if Simon is the main character.
Neebs moth comment reminded me of me telling my daughter dandelions were edible so she grabs a flower out of the yard and pops it in her mouth before I could stop her. The look on her face was priceless

good game so far, short on content right now, but I'm sure there will be more. i enjoyed my playthrough all ready.side note on music, I know you don't want to be known as a music channel but yall are good at it and it adds a lot of overall production value.
It has to be difficult to come up with a survival game at this point. Gather stuff, build stuff, eat stuff, get stronger. rinse and repeat. Do this in a different setting depending on the genre. Game devs who want to create a survival game have a huge hurdle to overcome. At some point someone may come up with an idea that is more different that simply creating a new setting to perform the same tasks in.
Yea thats my gripe with survival games. They're all..... basically the same. The term, "same shit, different day" comes to mind 😂

I think a good name for someone born in space who's exploring planets would probably be a Geonaut. After all, the word 'naught' literally means zero, and astro was derived from astrology, so the name was astronaut, probably a space version of the phrase 'ground zero'.

This game is GREAT. I love it. I played the hell out of it but reached the end of early access content pretty fast. Guess now I'll just build a sky fortress or something. Or maybe see how ridiculously fast I can make the ship.
