- Two really groovy youth-orientated late 60s commercials promoting a contest for Standard Oil in the Midwest, also known as American Oil outside the Midwest, later Amoco, then bp. Dig the chick riding the revolving Standard sign in the second spot!

I remember being a little kid seeing the commercial with the girl sitting on the sign. We had STANDARD here in our area and I started running around telling my family I wanted to sit on top of one of the STANDARD signs in our city! Well, I was only 3... I wonder how they managed filming that scene!
Would have loved a Kingswood Estate Wagon.
At 0:25, it's Frank Reagan in an undercover role! 😂
Very cool. Thanks for uploading these.
Groooovy man !
In the second commercial, that's Dick Patterson in the gas station attendant outfit who couldn't get a word in edgewise.
The guy at :25 is a young Tom Selleck.
I have one of these cars 1969 Camaro Convertible, how many of these cars were given away?
What were these musicians trying to prove?
