The Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners band performance at the Calhoun County Exhibition at Jacksonville State University on September 11, 2018.
JSU is amazing I’m in the marching band at Gordon lee our band director went there and he is really good friends with theirs so we have our band camp there this season the low brass instructor was Ian or Ean aka (Jesus) but he was amazing and helped us out so much
I got accepted here, and I'm my schools flag corps captain.. but this..this is daunting. The unity, that beat. Those adorable uniforms! Now too scared to try out for the flag corps for this school.
This is one reason I am starting to like watching university bands over DCI now. In DCI these days, over half the corps be running around the field just ramming a bunch of notes and it doesn't even sound like music. It all sounds like a bunch of random noise. This however, is more catchy, more interesting and there are more variety possible when listening to university bands.
You are correct. The talent is incredible but it’s like listening to a hornline playing etudes from a method book. Not what I call music with a soul. Very plastic.
I want to watch them all day.
The JSU Marching southerners never disappoint! Just Amazed!
I was so happy to see their performance in person, and they are one of the best University bands around. They have some great people

The Sousa Foundation should get these folks a Sudler Trophy PRONTO! Alabama has three worthy bands, but only two have them so far.
Our band teacher is tryna make us do this shit and I hate it
Then go to hell
