I never would've thought that at 44 I'd listening to bedtime stories every night just to be able to fall asleep. Haha. Thank you so very much good sir!
Don't feel bad I'm 50 and do it as well. I find I can't sleep well without them. Camping can be challenging.
I'm the same age but I don't fall asleep to them missing the end would be a waste for me I just love listening :)
We all are getting there eventually...
@@anthonyarcanumsanctumregnu9551 I can't help it must of the time. His voice just lulls me to sleep. Then I wake up and think damn it got to take it back to let thing I remember just to finish story
I'm 43 lol
The utter procrastination of this writer is too relatable 😂
it definitely is hah!
Yeah I wish I could get motivated to write I literally have around 45 story ideas. A majority of them I literally have fleshed out the entire plot I merely need to add in the vivid details and space fillers for duration. I just can't get motivated and have free time to finish them I really wish I could find a ghostwriter.
@@grimsgraveyard3598 I'm listening to this book right now called tiny habits. It's pretty good.
Yes most definitely I write for fun lol that's all but I never get done
LOL painfully true.
"but if you give a writer an excuse not to write, he will take it every time." I don't need to be called out like this
As a dungeon master i feel attacked too haha
It feels like Remy was really speaking from the heart.
my friend wrote this story! He’s the best! Can’t wait to listen to it narrated! : )
Tell him this was a damn good story. Definitely one of the better ones.
Yes! Do tell him it was great!
I don't understand the ending. If anyone cares to explain it? I may just be overtired, these are my favorite bedtime stories
This is the best story I’ve ever read I never thought about at the beginning in between, and in the end the outcome !! Spooky big times
@sundiverijl. Well, the way I understand it he was gone for almost a year and he must have lost his Beene When he got traumatized, finding a human items in the gum boxes.. so that creepy guy knew exactly when he was back and that he would go back and probably remembers where his bike was.. So creepy guy make sure that his cap is freshly washed
I guess when towns seem so utterly perfect, and flawless, it's on purpose. People try to cover up the biggest flaws by putting a flawless look to their towns to trick others. The curious ones, most-likely alike to the person in this story, always tend to uncover the secrets, and then this situation can go many different ways. Amazing narrations as always, Lighthouse Horror! You're really great at keeping this channel going! Keep up the amazing work!
I agree completely
Nah.. my town is naturally flawless! ;)
@@jackdare thats nice 🙂 I wish I could say that. It's a nice enough town. I've lived here in East Texas all my life so it's definitely home. I just wish there wasn't so much crime. It gets kinda scary sometimes.
@@jackdare must be nice lol in live in Wv and it's literally nothing but fentanyl overdoses thievery and robberies non stop...but it's home lol

Damn. The Grinch isn’t messing around this time.

47:25 yet another reason why I take my rottweiler with me almost everywhere. Shes a sweetheart 99% of the time but shes still a rottweiler and they're intimidating dogs when they arent being total goofballs. I havent run into any serial killers (at least not that I'm aware of) but I've had a few run ins with meth addicts and drunken bums and a look from her has always been enough to keep everyone nice and polite.

This story is honestly depressing to hear, the guy wanted to do right by the truth but nothing he did was successful. No one wanted to care about the truth, and honestly the source of the problem was pretty terrifying. I don't blame the person trying to fix things, as always I blame that broken system in which even the police are part of the cover-up. I would avoid a town where nothing bad happens, because that sounds like a recipe for the town from Hot Fuzz. Thank you, this narration was an absolute delight!
Well whadayou expect?
THEY COULDN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
.........😆😆😆😆😆😆
But seriously, sad and good story. Same for the narration!
Geez... That's about the most depressing, morbid & macabre thing I've heard all day!! 😳
???
I don't know that I listened to the same story as you? I don't think I heard anything here talking about a cover-up of any sort. Or of this guy trying to get the word out and failing cuz no one "wanted" to care?
@@dragex6582 listen again. Others saw what i did. XD
@dragex6582 yeah I heard hints of a cover up
Since I've been working the nightshift for the past 3 months, I've been listening every night. I swear I've went through over 100 of your narrations. I go down your list of videos one by one. I've gotten pretty far down through the list and I'm not close to being finished. Honestly, I hope I never get to the end, even though I know I will eventually. That thought saddens me honestly.
Just as everyone else has posted numerous times before, I look forward to listening to your narrations. You're my favorite to listen to and it makes my nights not as boring or quiet.
Keep being awesome, LH! ❤
I appreciate it very much! Glad to keep you company on those nightshifts!
Green-witch lmao. That’s how I said it, too, until I was corrected… brings back so many memories of my short stint living in NYC as a traveling nurse. Good times. It’s more like “Grennich”, though.
dangit! I'm going to get so much shit for pronouncing that wrong. The last word I said wrong was "foliage" and 17 years later I'm still getting comments about that lol... 🙁
@@LighthouseHorror lol. I would think most people would have a good sense of humor about it. Now, if you have a bunch of New Yorkers listening, you’re in for trouble. I got my ass chewed on that particular word, which is why it’s funny to me.
@@LighthouseHorror Not me! You can pronounce Anything, ANYWAY you want. Even ingredients from a jar! You good 😊. I love it, and You!!👑
@@LighthouseHorror
I was born in Green-witch village...I take no offense. I also find it amusing how people mispronounce Leroy St and Houston St.
I even heard a tourist ask someone where the Hell's Kitchen restaurant is....Hell's Kitchen is an area in Manhattan not a restaurant.
@@vbprogrammer2007How do tourists pronounce Houston? Is it not pronounced like the city in Texas, which is pronounced "Hughston?"
I'd freak out too if I came across Gary Busey on a walk
There's no reason to do him like that! 😂 I love him
I mean... nicely atmospheric, but what was the point of the story? Was it just some standard weird supernatural monster? What was with the power lines? What about the fingers? Did I miss them saying the fingers had been cut off when he was in the chimney? And what happened to all the Christmas stuff?
I’m also confused what was happening in this story.
Okay I know it’s not the point but I’m here freaking out that he’s touching crime scene evidence like broooooo- if there were fingerprints ya just ruined them.
I was thinking hope he's wearing gloves. And call 911!!
I was thinking the same (opens the strange gift box) No.. call the cops. (Narrator finds a clue) Tell the sheriff! (Notices gum box is odd) Don't touch it. Call someone. Don't open- you're bad at this.
That was the first thing I thought about.
There's 4 creepypasta narrators I listen to.. you are one of them. You have quickly gone up in ranks for me. Your narrations are perfect and I absolutely love. I can't wait for the day you become UA-cams #1 Narrator.
Who else do you listen to?
I like the images that play along during the storytelling. It doesn’t take away from personalized imagination either, just calming and mood setting
I loved that story. I shed tears over the boy & his family. I felt the horror of the main character. A very well written & narrated story. Thanks for sharing Stephen xxx
Setups like the one in this story make me wonder if it's just the natural result of Redditors writing self-inserts or if I'm _supposed_ to hate the protagonist.
People write what they know... lol
Your narrations are always so captivating, in that sitting by the campfire on a very dark night type of way. It's safe to say I'm addicted, at this point. Please keep up the great work! 💚

As mom to a 9 year old boy this one got me terrified. Great narration as always!
Same, my youngest is 9 & I just checked on him again.
This is such a treat! I was literally _just_ scrolling through some longer Lighthouse Horror stories. I had just put on "The World's Highest Paid Janitor" and I decided to just look at LH's main page and just saw this new story. I tried listening to other narrator's and I couldn't do it... I could say so much about how they just do _not_ stand up to LH, not in any way.
Thank you for existing, LH, I don't know who or what I would listen to just to relax and enjoy the night listening with my wife.
We really love your work, this channel. It's the *best* out there, 100%!

So true. Also Worlds Highest Paid Janitor is in the top 3 LH stories along with Half-Priced Voodoo Shop pt 1& 2.

LH does a big favor for all narrators. ☺️
Agreed. Just look at his different playlists, there are some 3, 4, 5 hour - and I think even one longer compilations! But some short ones are really, really excellent as well ! The " An ancient being walks the streets on Halloween" - or a similar title - is one of my all time favourites.
Or " The house that death forgot" !
And pretty much everything from Verastahl imho.
I have a Favourite LHH playlist , but it's getting too long, I myself can't find one in particular if I look for it ....🤦
Yes! I stumbled upon LH almost a year ago! Never turned back! He is amazing! His way of reading to the stories he picks! He is my favorite!!!
I highly recommend Dark Somnium, he’s my absolute favourite narrator. I’ve listened to just about all of his videos, so had to come searching for a new channel lol. And LH has quickly become a close second for me

If this hasn't been made into a movie yet, it needs to be. One of the most suspenseful little creepypastas I've ever heard.
Nothing has to be supernatural. Nothing has to be overtly graphic. Nothing has to be solved at the end.

I can't believe he put that beanie back on. Great story though. Absolutely excellent.
boy i sure did start hollerin' in fright when the scary gum chewing man cleaned that guy's hat. what a goofy story.
so what was this secret supposed to be? everyone knows that kid got murdered: a bunch of people watched the crime scene while getting drunk in the rain, so they know, and the news ran a story about it, presumably, so everyone with a tv knows about it. is it specifically that the stinky man in the woods did it? why are the police so desperate to protect that guy? maybe the idea's that a killer on the lose would worry people but, like, the people know that kid didn't accidentally chop off his own head into a christmas present.
and why'd that silly, stinky man steal all the family's presents?
Considering the ending, shall we assume that the narrator was the killer? Or that the narrator was killed and was laying down in the ground?
Ever since first reading the story whenever I see those gum containers it would make me think of it and it's so much better listening to you read it great job!!

"One evening, after driving all the way to Primm, Nevada..."
Man went to get help from the NCR.
Nice story; good descriptions of scenes that set the mood. I did find it could use more fleshing out to explain if this was the only murder in the town that ever happened? If not, you would think other murders would be reported. Was the gum-chewing man real, or supernatural? I don’t think there was a police cover-up; to me it was the gum-chewing man who cleaned up the gum packets after the protagonist fled away. Did the man live in the woods there? What was the significance of the power lines and the part they played in the story? Why was the description of the clothes the man wore so specific and detailed? What did that signify? Where did the man find a washer and dryer to clean the beanie?
There were too many blank spots in the story for me to feel satisfied in the end. I also toyed with the idea that it was actually the narrator who did the killing, but I couldn’t make that work, either. But it was well-written otherwise, and the narration was, of course, excellent.
is it just me, or why is it that arachnid super monsters are the scariest?
Wonderful job as usual! This was a great story. Maybe the author could make it a series?
