Thanks for the awesome breakdown of his stats and abilities. However, you might need to make changes to the HH site because they are recommending savage/lethal and cruel for armor (along with fatal and crit damage). I would think crit damage sets with 1 retaliation like you said. Or maybe Reflex or Merciless would be best. I don't think I'll do fury though because I don't want to rely on him being low health.
Love the video, Saph. I am so thankful you are willing to take the time to do deep dives like this. I have a very mathematical mind and saw this same potential for massive damage from the stacked multipliers the moment I read his kit. I've been borderline spamming several content creators to do a damage test since I first read his kit. I'm grateful too, because there were some factors you included that I wasn't yet aware of as a relative newbie to hydra. And I very much appreciate you including a breakdown of the potential available to a player without an abundance of premium gear.
I'm sure time is scarce for you right now, but could you please do a similar breakdown for the damage potential of Androc the Glorious' A2 in his alternate form? It has my mind spinning with the possibility of creating a hydra team that allows buffs to be stolen and spread to then be stripped by Androc to the tune of 5% true damage per buff. The damage potential there seems as though it could be similarly massive. Thanks Saph! Keep it up.

I had a hard time against UDK and Paragon cheese teams too but Gnishak and Genzin come to my rescue :)
Gnishak is awesome even against stone skin and Genzin can nuke UDK or just bypass his attack redirect with AoE and multihit attack.
Genzin can also ignore shields and unkillable buffs.

01:00 dang man, you are SO right with UDK... im playing this game for like 8-9 months and i hate UDK so so much
because he is sooo annoying in arena.. so guess what, 2 weeks ago, i pulled UDK. You know what i did? yes, i put him in the vault
and i dont wanna see him. Sorry guys, but UDK is maybe a good champion in the arena for you guys but for the opponent, he is a nightmare
if you were to throw in an emic as well you can even add a 20% from his passive when low HP

i dont think trunda is even the problem... the problem is yumeko that can reset another yumeko, like i have a trunda with alright build, 6 stars awakening and i deal about 1.5 million on normal and the reason i cant deal more is because i cant A3 all the time like you can with x2 yumeko
Now I just have to hope I get a dupe Yumeko in this void 2x following the last void lego I pulled. @@CiclopesGamer

Man, I'm so glad I saw this before the free regearing ends. I actually first started to put him in Lethal and Cruel. I'm probably going to put him in Relentless with Retaliation gear and Revenge artifacts.

Hi, thanks for your videos, they help a lot. I would like to ask you to check, if you can, what is the principle of forming tournament groups in a raid. Now there are rumors that the later you enter the game, the greater the chance of getting weak (inactive) players. I wonder how this is written in the game code and whether it is spelled out at all. Perhaps this topic has already been discussed, but I didn’t really follow it

UDK is one of mt fave leggos, he's just hilariously annoying, bc i live on the east coast of the US i get him around 7:00 to 8:00 pm, he seems like an absolute beast and i can't wait to get him tonight, i will likely join for the live stream if it works, but if it doesn't, well, i'll probably watch the video tomorrow
I just wanna know how they are going to convey in the interface he is due for the 5th attack bonus. It isn't a secret skill that gets unlocked, they gonna do a boss passive counter? Or just say F it let them count cards that's how he isn't OP.

Definitely a atrong champ. I'm waiting for cvc to build and book him. Already have him geared out in relentless and I'm interested in playing around with him in my NM or brutal hydra teams.
On another note udk doesn't bother me. Hes one of the few counters for the strongest arena nukers and theres ways to work around him. Obviously hes annoying on marichka/taras teams but imo thats more due to the op nature if marichka and taras.

Udk is literally a counter Rotos, Taras A2 (especially with Marichka), protects your support champs and stalls time for Wukong to revive 10 times after death. And he's free.

I have a question. Does the 5th turn mechanic work through rounds? Like if you do 4 turns on round 2 and then go to the dragon could you just pop off with the A2 and take half the HP away?
Yeah seems like it tried him in arcane keep 20 and set it up so he'd use his a2 1st move vs the boss as the 5th total move across all rounds & he hit for over 530k & that was with no books

Yes but the A2 resets. So you track the 5 hit across waves
I’ve already started upgrading artifacts for him the only stat that I’m missing is Atk and C dmg I have a lifesteal gear set and speed gear set his total speed will be somewhere around 170 without the mastery boost that enhances speed c rate is 105% c dmg is low and atk is low I built him mainly for speed because I want him to get as many turns possible in order to re-trigger his passive as many times possible
I have him at 100% crit rate and 200% crit dmg, attack on chest, the rings and stuff not sure yet
his set will be merciless, reflex+rentless and atk%+cdmg. I manage to build a nuker in 8 pieces merciless and rocks!
I think merciless is meta for almost any builds, even for support.

I feel exactly the same as you about UDK. No joke...if I drew him, I would use him to rank up another character. I don't care how good he is. I can't stand the sight of him and enjoy beating teams that he's on.
I came here for Rathalos, because i’m pondering switching Out Acrizia for him, but Cursed gear/hex caught my attention. Now I have to do some studying..
Your assessment of UDK makes me happy inside every time I hear it. It feels like vindication because I abhor that champion. If I had a Big Red Button that allowed me to delete one champion from existence and memory, he'd be the one that I hit.
Use Ronda to counter UDK.

It was really funny for me when Ronda came out.. it was like they realised they f'ed up with udk and instead of fixing him brings a counter champ.. just like stone skin for hegemon... Lool.. whenever stone skin comes I am like hitting a stone wall nothing u can do.. lool

UDK was my personal favorite. I started the game during his login event. He carried me through most areas of the game. I do agree that UDK is annoying AF in arena
It would have been nice to drop this AFTER people get the champion that way it will take them a bit more work to nerf it. Now they can just do a quick patch before they release it

Multipliers aren't that busted actually. The busted part is his passive
rathalos is the weaker free version of fatalis yes

Supreme Kael. Normally you max your starter, but since Kael has all AOE attacks he should be able to farm 12-3 brutal campaign when he's maxed even without books.

Do your calculations take critical hits? I didn’t see if you spoke about that in your equations.

nukers must be built with 100% crit rate (there are few exceptions though), in order to enjoy the maximum damage and avoid the wide range of possible damage when is below that threshold(without 100% crit rate, the damage will vary between the minimum and maximum damage)

The damage potential is certainly there, but it feels like there’s incredibly too much set up for him to outpace a lot of the other good damage dealers on most hydra teams.

I just love your Ud k comment he is ridiculous. I mean, if you gave us equivalent champions that could compete with him, because if he's geared right etc, I mean, I can walk him down. We're literally my team can't kill him and I've fought 46 minute battles with that mofo O k, probably some longer, that's all I'm gonna admit you, but my point is, he's ridiculously unkillable, and you can't compete with him. The best thing I found that does kill him is to put that f***** to sleep like this. Tan devil so I don't know if I'm on to something there or not, but I don't have the funds to fully check out the team. I want to equip that I think could take Ud k down. Unfortunately, not every player is gonna have some of the players. I have to do this with, and I think Queen Annabelle may be essential. I could be totally off base. I am a clambos but i'm a virgin too
To be clear Saph 250 crit and 6000 atk is not an avarage build might be for a whale with some time playing but most ppl cant go that deep without sacrificing speed and other stats
Average End Game Build is what I referenced (what we do to assess a champions full damage potential) In the video I started with a 4k attack 150% c.dmg for a test too - thats is more average early to mid .
HP Burn lets the enemy take 50% more dmg?
His passive makes him do 50% more dmg, when boss has burn on ;)
UDK is a good addition to the game, he's just not good for arena. I don't think Wukong is good for arena either. I remember saying when UDK released that he needs to be tweaked in arena because his passive is way too good for those modes.
So this is Plariums way of "fixing" Trunda, now we all have one similar

Not from inbox no but if you dont claim from the Ratahlos Chase page it will count until you claim it.

Artak is good . This guy seams better all over in other places . This guy seams like the stone cold nuts right now
Artak is less sexy but still amazing for many because it gave access to hydra - hes also the best Ice Golem champ in game for Hard so still solid. This guy has some of the craziest damage in the game.
@HHGamingNetwork Cool thanks. As f2p, leggo books are definitely my biggest issue, so it helps me decide. Haven't booked Artak yet, but he was next on my list, now I'm considering this guy instead. Both would be built to improve my hydra team, but I already have a couple good hp burn champs, so I think I'll book this guy.. well, attempt to book over the next 3 months.

For once a video or stream where your not complaining! It's great to see that your positive for once through a whole video. It's deserving of a thumbs up!! Unfortunately this is another champ that FTP or low spenders have access to that will likely get nerfed because of you, once again! Deserving of a thumbs down! However I will give you the thumbs up for the hard work and time spent doing the math. Still shocked seeing you positive for the very first time for the entirety of a video!
They dont nerf login champs - Artak was bugfixed to do what his passive was MEANT to do as per skill description.

Why does he have 12.6k attack if the initial is 6705 ? 1487 * 30% aura = 446 . 446+6705= 7151 *1.5 increased attack = 10726 so not 12.9k u used there
His attack increases with the setup, hp burn, weaken, masteries etc. You can see the values change as he removes them

Yeah i had a bit too much from Aura there - was sneaky asterisk when shouldnt - 10727 is right - it doesnt change the overall concept tho the numbers are still 20mil+

Fair and balanced this champion.
I also got the archer queen and she herself is also obsenely broken. Wonder why HH website ranks two turn provoke, Dec speed and Aoe stun with 20 percent turn meter champ only as 4 rating.
Shes a specialist - so not universally amazing but with most of these we review after a playtest. so it could increase
