Thank you for this information. We purchased quail eggs at the Farmer's Market, but then realized we had no idea what to do with them! They were pretty expensive - $10 for 30 eggs. We're excited to see how they taste, and we're thinking they could be fun additions to our lunch boxes. :) I have 4 dogs and 3 cats - the dogs were very curious about what I was watching!
+ EarthlingCooks I hard boiled 20 of them and pickled them using a recipe with beets. Very yummy! We kept the other 10 plain and hard boiled to toss into salads with dinner and into lunchboxes for snacks. They were a hassle to peel - but well worth it. Planning to use pickled eggs in jars as gifts for the in laws. Thanks, again, for the info!
Um, I think the cat's trying to tell you something. It sounds to me like the cat is saying "I want some of that, can I have an egg"? And you completely ignore it. So it meows again. And this time it says "HEY, hello, I'm here, did you forget about me? Can I have some of that?" I don't speak cat but it seems completely obvious to me what that cat is trying to say.
Just received some as a gift never had them in my life wish me luck I got an air fryer ? So I'm going to give yours a shot I got 96 to do something with oh my gosh
Hmm, never done that with any eggs while boiling. My hard boiled eggs always come out normal, with yolk in the middle. Didn't ever hear of that. I'll do some research though.
Thanks for the demo, I must say it is pretty unnecessary to say “go ahead and...” the exact same sentences are perfect without those 3 words. “We are going to...” is “I’m going to....” no need for the “go ahead and” :-)
Don't you just love modern day accessibility?!) Jut typed "quail egg" and here it is, perfect answer to my question! Thx!)

They were just out of the fridge about 5mins before going in.

Get a little 6 inch cake pan, spray w some oil, beat the eggs and air fry for a frittata . I do the bacon setting (cosori fryer)
Local stores don't carry them in Oregon
Never tried boiled quail egg before. Is it better than chicken eggs?
Not better, or, worse. Very similar, but, slightly different.
K S,
Review the vid ...
Use a teaspoon of vinegar while cooking and the shell will come off easier
Thanks for the tip!
How much protein in the one quail egg?
S Brito,
1/6-th as much as a chicken egg ...

Depends where you buy them. A few bucks.

Stir them while they boil so the yoke stays in the middle.

I always felt that quail egg yolks were creamy in comparison to the crumbly nature of chicken eggs
Depends how you cook them. My chicken eggs come out creamy when hard boiled.
