zero4710 i drive an A4 lol S4 is supercharged and i don't have $2,000 for a "nice" turbo back cause i spent $3000 on a bigger turbo, it sounds pretty nice. Ill post a video right now

Hmm for my buddies car, B8 S4, Did a muffler delete, took the 2nd res out and replaced the 1st res with a magnaflow 11386 muffler and its deep, very little rasp, and still loud enough.
No check engine light?
what about the exhaust tips?
What was the part number of the magnaflow x pipe? Is it resonated or non-resonated?
Do you still have this setup? If so, do you mind providing a more detailed video of the sound? Inside the cabin during cruising, WOT, etc.

So, I'm running up to a dealership to pick up a 2013 B8.5 S4 with 60k on it. No work has been done, aside from adding a batman emblem to the right rear (where an APR one will be very shortly). As a new sub to your VLOGS, I feel like you're coming around and getting better (based on what I've seen). My only recommendation, depending on how serious you are here, is maybe educating yourself a little more on the serious topics such as this ;) (your car is pretty enough I think it deserves it haha). Either way, this is the literal first thing I'm doing, even before a Stage 1 tune. I think second for me will be blacking out the emblems / installing the RS style grille. Keep em comin', maybe i'll post a few in the future as well!

I have a concern, How do you get the solution of Drone after delete resonator? I have drone around 1700rpm, so annoying to driver..

Did this setup allows you to keep and use the factory adjustable baffles. The open and closed valves you can use to enhance or decrease your “ engine sound “ your Audi Drive Select? I definitely want to be able to have at least a way to cut down the exhaust volume by 1/3 to 1/2 compared to max volume and not have to pay $3000 to have a shop build me a full exhaust setup and and charge me to pay for a while brand new kit. I e heard the baffles/ valves are near the exhaust pipes. This could result n being able to use my stock pipes or not.
I'm under the impression that he said this only works for his type of car. Is that so? For example, for only $400 bucks, can I make my 2015 Altima 3.5 sl sound way better?

I have literally almost the same exact setup.. but I have a 3" downpipe and I did it myself so I only spent around $275... btw with the ko4 turbo kit it makes it sound 1000000x better :D

How's the drone sound? I currently only have the xpipe and it's not bad. With the front res delete is the drone a lot louder? Also for the tips you had to buy 4 separate ones for your stock mufflers?
Actually I do not have much drone at all. In the cabin my car almost has like a v8 rumble to it which I dig very much. On the highway couldn't even hear it at all. and the Res delete will increase the overall volume by a bit. and Yes I had 2 dual tips and I cut them into singles and weld them on individually

What would you expect the difference to be if JUST doing the 1st resonator delete? That is, compared to stock, OR compared to doing the X pipe alone? Thanks!
I’ve tried both options actually. They are very minimal. If you are only to do one of them, I would do the x pipe alone. It gives a bit more sound and aggressive tone. The first res by itself didn’t do much at all

Wanted to do a similar setup on my b8 s4 - I actually have the 11385 magnaflow resonated xpipe sitting in my garage, but ended up just doing the muffler delete. Would love to compare them in person. You're in GTA, no?

Are those stock mufflers Oliver? I'm running AWE non-res downpipes to straight through both resonators and to GMG exhaust, Its pretty loud and raspy. Tomorrow I'm switching to an X pipe at the 2nd resonator I think.

@@dilpreetsidhu6410 To my ears, they are minimum, but this setup gives you a very crispy exhaust note, but if you are looking for a loud but very low tone sound profile, you might want to invest into the AWE touring system.

@@MrSamoannn I'm in Edmonton, had this done 3 years ago in my local shop. I would say you could find way cheaper shop in Toronto or Vancouver so really depending on where you live. I had my S4 (sold in 2019) tuned to stage 2+ with SC pulley upgrade and the motor was still solid as a rock. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

I personally go with the AWE Package: AWE Tuning Audi S5 3.0T Touring Edition Exhaust and Resonated Downpipe System -- Polished Silver Quad Tips (102mm) with my s5

Nope Never had an issue with dsg. Bangs each gear no problem

what muffler did you put ?
I have a dual exhaust system and I realized that you have a quad exhaust system. Does the X pip only work with S4's quad exhaust or is this modifiable for A4 dual exhaust?
Kareem Roberts if your car has the 2.0 it wouldn't work with an X pipe. there is only a single pipe that comes from the engine.

How come you didn't like the AWE touring exhaust system?
It was very nice and refined, but almost "too" refined if you know what I mean. Didn't have the edge that I was looking for. But if you want a exhaust system that doesn't drone and with a refined sound, AWE is a good choice
Greetings from Australia Oliver! just got myself an s4 b8.5 and could not be happier. The car is insanely fun! Not digging the stock sound though. Your exhaust sounds pretty good but speakers can be deceiving. i am looking at giving the car an exhaust upgrade but am amazed at high cost of exhausts here. seems disproportionate. if you were to compare your sound from the mod to the likes if IPE system. where would you put it? the ipe cat back from vids i have seen sounds incredible but high cost. how would you compare your mod and why would you still opt for costly system if the mod sounds great. (unless you are after slight power gain).

It had 30,000km when I bought it, and I purchased it last year and It was around 60,000 canadian after everything. and Yes I was going to get a manual but they did not have a one at that moment, It would take 2 months to get here and my old car engine blew so I couldn't afford to wait. But Manual would definitely be fun
After driving manuals for the longest time, I LOVE this S-tronic in my S4. I hate normal torque converter style automatics, but this is completely different... It's great.
I have 2010 A4 B8 2.0T would this work for my car or only for V6?
Yes, but it will cost a lot more on the A4 than the S4. As the A4 has a single side outlet. So if you get it custom fabbed, it will take a bit of pipework to convert it to dual outlet.So with all that's spent, on fabbing, youre better off buying a dual outlet cat-back conversion for A4, which are off the shelf and removing the thin OEM non-mandrel bent pipework.

Scott Wiener probably won’t sound the same tbh. That being said it might still sound good. Not sure tbh
An X Pipe and no resonators on the 2.0t will sound different but maybe a little raspy. I would start out with just the x-pipe first and I’m sure it would sound nice

I love Audi/VW but the community isn't very knowledgeable. So by first resonator you are talking about cats? That will give you your gurgles and burps, the second resonator will give you mid drone at highway speeds and create rasp at high RPM (Honda noise)
So best mild setup that won't drone or rasp, and keep back fires: stage 2 tune, cat delete, x pipe, add a magna flow or other type resonator to stock mufflers. Later on you can add cutout mufflers for push button straight pipes.
can you do an outside drive by so we can hear the full sound..great job by the way really considering this for my b8

@@ericdominguez8171 I’ve done some exhaust work recently. Removed the center resonator along with the two smaller resonators in front of the big center resonator and put a mf 11385 in place of them. Also deleted rear mufflers. The sound is no longer there so ig it was one of those things 🤷🏻♂️
Hey what's up man. I just did the exact exhaust setup you have today. Just didn't get the tips welded on yet. Anyways did you notice any difference in sound the longer you had yours installed? Mines a little raspy right now didn't know if it would change at all
I wouldn't say it changed too much. It got a little less raspy and more bassy but nothing dramatic
Nice yeah that's what I'm hoping for. Let a little carbon build up lol glad I got it done though. Stock is way to quiet
I have the same setup on my s5 stock tips. However colds starts are really loud and super obnoxious. It sounds horrible. Also going up hills slowly in a higher gear sounds like a rattle ran. Any ideas why it might sound this bad? This happened after I got the 1st resonators removed. Just the x pipe sounded fine. Thanks

I got it done at L&G Exhaust in Markham. Basically any exhaust shop would have this part and they will be able to do it. Basically cut and weld. Don't do it if they quote you anything over than 150 for labour.

Flynn Rider Appreciate you bro! It’s gonna be louder than stock for sure but nothing too crazy imo. It dies down really quickly into idle and when it’s in idle it sounds closer to stock so I wouldn’t worry too much!

No emissions problems what so ever. Still got the stock downpipes and cats so It is literally stock to the emission test

rajan singh In my opinion, armytrix exhaust has the best tone and it’s the loudest. Only downside is the price lol

no it wouldn't sound like an audi s4. but if you straight pipe it, it is going to sound similar to an evo with turbo nosiest

S4 ist a 6-cyl supercharged engine while your A4 is a 4cyl turbo...definitely won't sound the same lol
