Don't be mistaken. It's not a minor language, all Kurdish dialects combined are used by more speakers than Dutch or Romanian, for example.

As an Azerbaijani speaker I understood xarab, qazanc, dərd and some other words

You know xerab because it's Arabic you also know qazanc because it's Turkish(Turkic) and you know derd because of the influence of Persian over Azerbaijani
