I love how the Leafs aren't even leading their division with one of the best forward lineups in the league, meanwhile the Capitals have a 39 year old Alex Ovechkin and his band of merry men and are somehow leading the league. God, I love hockey so much.
Well when you got the panthers who have a better top 6 yeah it’s hard, but screw the panthers and the leafs😂 Go B’s!
Maximum Domi
Knies Mathews Domi, McMann Tavares Marner, Patches (Kadri) Nylander, Laurentz Kampf Holmberg
Minten is your 3rd line center for the end of the season/playoff run. Tavares needs to stay as 2nd. Knies literally arrived straight from college to make an impact at the end of the year/playoffs. Minten has shown enough to earn that spot. Deal Cowan if you’re looking to add.
I'd love to get the sdpn boys to talk about playing Minten and Cowen and trade no one or give Steeves an extended look at 3 or 4 c
Minten and Cowan will not help the Leafs for a couple of years.
I think that's the sustainable line up the leafs need. If the leafs had proper bottom 6 home grown guys and more average or above average players in the top 6. Sens went to the conference finals with Turris & Brassard. Leafs haven't made the conference finals with Matthews and Tavares that's sad. I think the Leafs need to keep picks and youth to get those grinders and power forward energy guys to play on the top 9 lines in the forward corps.
Having the two best right wingers on the same line makes no sense.
Leafs are missing a general in defense.
Leadership and experience in general.
It seems the Leafs fans have abandoned the option of trading Marner or Tavares, but you gotta give something to get something, draft capital from a team ending top10 or less isn’t worth much and so does the prospects selected with these same picks with very few exceptions.
Make it out of the first round. That’s what the leafs need
The Leafs have been criticized for their defence lack of goals? You did the criticizing Dangle
Yeah right, their defense is like dead last in just about every offensive category.
@ do you understand the meaning of defence?
@@Joeblow12349 Hockey's a great game, when you get possession of the puck, the dmen are allowed to follow the play and help create offense. Passing, shooting, they do it all. Check it out, if you need more help, let me know.
Maybe I'm giving Robertson too much credit, but all the problems with his game seem to come from him gripping his stick way too tight.
Personally, I think once he gets a chance where he doesn't have to worry about a single mistake leading to him sitting out for a few games he'll be at least a 20 and maybe a 30 goal scorer because he has more than enough raw talent. Unfortunately, I'm just not sure if Toronto is the place where it'll happen.
Dickinson & Murphy from CHI would be great. But if it's true about Dobson being available they should be all over it. Even though the trade would probably start with name like Knies. Leafs didn’t have that kind of RHD for decades. Cheers from Trenčín, Slovakia.
There is no way you trade a 215 pound power forward that is 22 years old, stands in front of the net, can skate, score 30+ goals(he will), checks and digs in the corners.
Brock Neilson from NYI would be a good option, but at some point they have to look from within. Give guys like Steeves, Cowan, Mitten need an actual opportunity instead of bringing them up for 5-10 games and 8 minutes of ice time.
At some point Calle Jarnkrock will come back to provide some secondary scoring
Don't think leafs can do too much at trade deadline this season unless one of top 5 core going other way
Any trade of the top players will weaken the team.
The Leafs need a pair of balls in the playoffs
If the Leafs wanted to go ALL IN : Cowan(or Minten), Myers a 1st, a 3rd and a 4th for Dobson, a 5th and a prospect who needs a change of scenery
Lol you're not giving both a 1st and Cowan unless they retain which they wont
Over payment for dobson no thanks maybe if you swap minton for cowan then maybe
@ImmortalWombat they would have to retain for the trade to happen, I figure it's the way to Load the 1st pair D
Your GM career would be over quickly.
Dobson is a 50-70 point D man. They don't grow on trees
I get that he's not having a perfect year but I guarantee he goes for more than you think
Marcus Pettersson went for a 1 for Pete's sake... Cowan is a fine prospect but I valued him at a high 2nd rounder to a late first.
As someone who's actually worked for a pro team (the Reading Royals) I can tell you that evaluations vary from person to person
They need to be al in and they need to go get a cozens or Brayden Schenn or brock Nelson . I’d love for them to get another D too. Nelson and mayfield for Minten , 1st round pick , Robertson , timmins ?
Decent centrered, d support.
I’d like bjugstad from Utah for the third line power forward and he’s right handed
3 wins and they’re rolling.. come on guys
Brayden Schenn, getting Traded to Toronto? You think 🤔
Why not play marner 3rd line center with mcmann and Robertson and eventually can get jarnkrok there ... line 1 knies mathews domi
2 paciorety Tavares nylander
3 mcmann marner Robertson
4 lorentz kampf reeves/holmberg
@@SeanNaz-b2s marner on the third line??? Lmao thats insanity
Reilly looks a bit better on offense but is still horrible in the leafs zone
Kadri would look great down the middle.
I would bet on the leafs winning if they got him without losing major roster pieces.
Huge Kadri fan and Leaf fan here. This comment gives me flashbacks to back to back playoff suspensions. I love the guy, but man I'd be hoping history didn't repeat.
@ what’s his famous statement about things like that?
😂
Who cares they always look good regular season but become a wet sponge the second playoffs start.
Guys let’s be heist here the leafs aren’t thst goof of a team. They barely dominate other teams and usually squeak out a victory despite having high scoring talent. Go look at how the Jets play a structured game compared to the Leafs. Unfortunately even if a trade happens it’s not enough to push the leafs become a better team. Right now the concern should be with the bottom six who are not pulling their weight here.
... if they had a captain with a spine ....? you know, one that doesnt blame the energy in the building for a loss.
I always wonder what goes on in Toronto sometimes. It’s like a completely different universe that simply doesn’t get it. Matthew’s hasn’t done f all this season and is never held accountable. It’s always talk regarding ,Domi, Robertson,Reaves,Rielly.
Stop with the same old lines. Change them up. Do something out of the box.
If it’s working why change?
Change them up? They are changed virtually every game. That is an issue.
I get Bowman speaking on the D end of things going into playoffs, but why are Leaf fans and those in the industry like these guys not concerned about the goaltending... I absolutely like the goalies, attitude, work ethic and so on, but I don't think they have it for playoffs, longevity. I hope I'm wrong.
They only won 3 in a row and you call it rolling...lol you guys are idiots
Leafs will once again not get out of the first cause like usual the core don't give a f***
Dobson Pageau for Knies, McCabe 1st
That's crazy! Leafs go nowhere in the playoffs without Knies and McCabe!
Id be sending less roster players but that would be a pair of players that make a difference. Pageau particularly would be a driving 3rd line player defensively. Honestly, a third line of McMann - Pageau - Marner would be disgusting in all zones. How do you cover that?
Sounds like both of you want a trade that the Leafs come out on top, that's not usually how things work
If you think trading knies is a good idea, you're insane
@ No, I just think trading Knies is going to be a losing proposition. Take a look at the team with him and without him.
