Any information on where a person could purchase Bonkers? I've looked online but haven't found anything. There are some places offering it but they seem sketchy.
Bonkers did get a cameo in Ducktales 2017 during the Darking Duck special in Season 3 + in the Rescue Rangers movie. Ngl, i would like Bonkers to come back. If anyone from the Disney Afternoon block deserved a remake for redemption, its Bonkers. The premise is interesting, we just need people who can understand it to work on it.
In 1993-95 Animaniacs aired at the same time as Bonkers. Animaniacs on channel 13 while Bonkers aired on TDA (Channel 11 prior to 1995, 10/22 as of 1995).
Bonkers did actually have a cameo in the new rescue rangers movie. He is seem near the end along with the toons who were transformed partially into those weird knock off toons
Happy to say Bonkers did infact make it into the Ducktales 2017 reboot as a cameo in the final season in the backdoor pilot for Darkwing "Let's Get Dangerous"
This show was definitely unique in the sense that there were two (arguably three) completely different renditions of it jammed together, right down to the title character's appearance (thank goodness the voice was at least consistent). Absolutely... bonkers? I loved the Lucky episodes and hated the Miranda episodes. Maybe it's because I was 8 or 9 at the time, kind of on the older end of being into cartoons, so I was a little more discerning. Not that I could understand it at the time, but I thought the tension in the relationship between Bonkers (toon) and Lucky (anti-toon) was a great layer to the show that the Miranda episodes didn't have. I mean, that kind of relationship was one of the successful components of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, so I'm kinda baffled that they didn't think to use that concept right away. The animation in the Lucky episodes was better too. I mean, there's movie animation, mediocre TV cartoon animation... and then you had the Miranda episodes.
Wow great video 👏. I always wondered why Lucky left. This makes more sense because they seem like two different shows particularly in tone. I actually like the Miranda episodes much better she goes with the world she's in while Lucky is skeptical every episode and fairly incompetent. I'm glad it's on Disney + but the order is a total mess.
Bonkers should have a restart as he deserves it why people don’t remember how he gave joy to many and was not drawn like animated series are now doing i know a lot of people are crazy about animaniacs but they are wrong when they hate bonkers this is a common bullying for this product
I'm glad this video is back on. It's the most positive video about Bonkers out there. I'm sick and tired of people bashing the show. I personally like Bonkers, the character and the show. It's a shame it had such a messy production and became nothing but a joke among the animation community. I highly doubt it'll ever get rebooted; if it did there are so many things you can fix about it and make it better.
Maybe making it more serious would help, Imagine it like this: Bonkers, A toon who's known to be wacky, Working as a police man, Learning to be serious but also embracing his toon side, Maybe making the Collectionist as the main villain and give hints about him being a human as a Season finale twist, There's so much potential for a reboot
Technically, Bonkers aired on Disney Channel first with 9 of the Miranda Wright episodes that were already finished presented as a "preview." Just adding to the confusion for continuity, compilation episodes of Bonkers segments from Raw Toonage were also sprinkled in. To date, there is no official continuity and basically have to rely on how each character is introduced to figure out a palatable timeline. Raw Toonage also never aired on Disney Afternoon, but was shortly aired on CBS Saturday Mornings. Meaning most kids like me probably never watched Raw Toonage first. Ironic, given the purpose to introduce the character on a different block. Also, remember the internet didn't exist. So the only way you could even find out Disney was airing a new cartoon on a different network was if you happen to see a commercial for it on the actual network. It was years after I found out Disney was airing cartoons on CBS or ABC Saturday mornings as the only channels I would ever watch would be Nickelodeon, The WB or the local Channel 9 for The Disney Afternoon. The only way I discovered new shows was channel surfing at the right place at the right time. This also means those very important first episodes that explain what the show is almost never aired at a time I could have watched it. Also, take in account that The Disney Channel was a premium service and my family never paid for such things. The majority of our childhood cartoons were watched out of order and in reruns... just like how they're out of order on Disney+.
I remember watching Raw Toonage on CBS back in the day. In fact my first exposure to Bonkers was in the theatrical short Pedal to the Metal which was shown with the 1992 movie 3 Ninjas.
Here's the deal: Russian version (I was born in Moldova, where Russian version was broadcasted) had WAY better voice acting than original, so in post-USSR countries Bonkers is much more appreciated than in US.
I forgot to tell this in the note but the sponsorship probably doesn’t work anymore

"Bonkers" may not have been popular, but I really liked it!

It will be very cool to have a bonkers reboot
Really, i love this cartoon so much ❤
Not to mention it’s hard to watch the show chronologically unless you watch the Lucky Piquel episodes first and the Miranda Wright Episodes second.

Miranda episodes were animated earlier, that's why Lucky episodes looked better.

@@NadieNobody-k1r Yeah, but one of the things that made it good was the fluid animation of the characters. They wouldn’t have the budget nowadays.
It's Miranda Wright, not Amanda Wright
It’s a hit worthless to make a correction now
Bonkers made a appearance in the 2017 ducktales he was in darkwing ducks 2 parter let’s get dangerous
I was wonder where this went
