Thanks for the needle nose pliers advice. I was trying with a c clamp like every one else I've never seen one of these turn in pistons before. I actually used a wire terminal crimper to turn it, worked nicely

Same here. I've never seen this design. I wonder what the point is.

My guess is that they do this so that the piston can also operate as the e-brake. The two seem to go hand in hand

@@aregularguydoesstuff4157. Quick question. How much do you think it’ll be worth to sell my 08 Lucerne cxl 3800 motor with 191xxx miles on it. Runs good clean in and out leather seats. Thanks

That’s a tough one. I sold mine with 172k miles for $3500 but it was right before things (car prices) went crazy.
I probably could’ve priced a little bit higher because it sold quickly.
If it’s in really clean condition I don’t think $4000 plus would be out of the question.
Anytime I sell on craigslist I put a ton of pictures and a lengthy description about any repairs or maintenance I’ve done. It will set you apart from any other sellers.

I used medium channel locks to rotate the piston. Worked pretty nicely

Good Job with the video, I understood. I see I can get 4 rotors and all the pads for my Lucerne for $250 on Amazon, but they are from china.Do I dare trust them? What do you guys think I should do? O Rileys wants 90 bucks per rotor & 70 bucks per set of pads.

Autozone has a discount code SAVE4SUMMER. this will get you $20 off of a $100 purchase with free shipping.
The best advice I can give anyone regarding brake pads is buy the lifetime warranty ones from AutoZone and when they wear out they will replace them for free. I’ve done it four times on one car.

Buy the good stuff, the China parts are a P.O.S ! You will be much happier. I got a set of rotors once that we warped!
