Gliders guys generally ignore the FAA rules, including myself, flying near airports an exception. There is zero enforcement. Fly safe, like we always have - common sense rules.

Great day. We were up on one pack for over 1 hour. The plane does not know how to come down.

Oof! I clenched, and I'm not even flying it! I know I'd have stacked hundreds if pounds worth of gear into splinters.
That's about as high as you can fly these beautiful planes nowadays with the current FAA rules. Damn drones forcing the new ruleset on us all.
