Paige was again unbelievable, and you can tell she was wearing down having to so hard on the defensive end( unlike Clark, Watkins, and others), especially having to body up against very large and physical PFs. In the post game interview, you could tell she really wanted to be honest about the dirty play going on, but she was gracious as usual. Also as usual, the knuckle heads will talk about her 29 points and completely miss her dominant D performance and once again how clutch. Tired, without AE, and up by only 6 midway through the third, Paige scored 11 of Uconn's next 13, had 2 assists, a block and 2 steals to stretch the lead to 18 and put the game away. THAT's who she is, that's why she's the best player in the nation. She takes over games doing everything, and EXACTLY when it's needed. Haven't seen anyone do that as consistently as she does since MJ. It's uncanny. No one will notice, they'll just blather on about CC scoring 24 against a lousy PSU team.....shooting 25% and an amazing 2/14 from 3. SMH.
Paige is an all-American period. The whole team is made up of great players. They are fun to watch. I would love to see Paige be the coach of UCONN someday. She still has plenty of playing time left. A joy to watch.
Connecticut is now #9 while NCState is #10. One of UConn's losses is still there, in view, not a mile ahead. #10 NCState plays #14 Notre Dame tomorrow. Hmmm Two of UConn's losses get to destroy one another tomorrow. I like it. #1 S. Carolina plays #3 LSU tomorrow after winning by just 1 pt today. Maybe they'll be tired or just get beat. This is the time for LSU. #2 Stanford plays #5 U. Southern Cal. tomorrow. Again, they may bash each other all they want. Meanwhile, #9 UConn plays unranked Marquette. They're good, but not top-10 ranked. So, tomorrow looks pretty good for UConn if Aaliyah has it together and can play well. Go Huskies!
With another player lost to injury, the only chance UCONN has to advance significantly into the NCAA is to bench Nika, put Paige at point guard and let her manage the game and do what she does best. Nika is too much of a turnover factory and a negative on the offensive end of the court. Let the youngsters play.
Well, for the season, Paige has 120 assists and 47 turnovers, for an assists-to-turnovers ratio of 2.553; Nika has 204 assists and 80 turnovers, for a A-to-T ratio of 2.55.
@@chuckturchick8342Paige has been playing the 4 most of the year and has had the ball in her hands far less. Paige ranks #10 in points per possession ( # 2 for guards) and Nika ranks #1027. When the ball is in Paige's hands, better things happen, it's not rocket science. Nika is also a much better spot up 3 threat than before, and with Paige's gravity, Nika and everyone else get wide open looks, which is ehat they need...only Paige really effectively creates her own offense
@@cbrend22 You called Nika a "turnover factory." That's all I was responding to. And I didn't use assist stats; I used assist-to-turnover stats. Those stats -- whether you take this year or even go back to 2020-21, which Paige played a full season at guard (assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.3), the stats do not bear out that "turnover factory" claim. Your new points are simply moving the goalposts on your original claim.

Well said and good observation ❤on point period
an amazing 2/14 from 3, more amazing if you think that was at first 0/11
@@FabrizioPati-i6f So after that she shot an amazing 67%!! Lol
I completely concur with the posters original post. I would add that when she mentions MJ she should also add joker.
Also, this analysis shows that Caitlin Clark is not paige buckets.
I can’t wait until Jana can play. Her enthusiasm on the bench is great.
Me either!!!! I think people will be surprised how much she will impact the team
AE sorry for the nose 😮 prayerfully U will be ok 😌
I have nothing say except that I just love PAIGE BUECKERS I MEAN PAIGE BUCKETS I MEAN THE GOAT SO MUCH ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Unless i missed something, Cadance S didn't get much run today.
This team is cursed. The third year in a row. One injury after another.

UCONN has no chance in the tournament, friend. I mean, you have to know that.

Hope I am wrong, but uconn women's team will not make it to the final four, will lose in the semifinals of the regionals.

And then? Who would play power forward as effectively as Paige?
