  • This is a story about one small Australian flycatcher - a Willy Wagtail (Ripidura leucophrys) - that's discovered a way to catch small juvenile fish by capitalising on the hunting behaviour of Yellow-finned Kingfish (Seriola lalandi) - a remarkable piece of opportunistic adaptation by this enterprising little bird. The action takes place at White Bay, in Sydney Harbour.

Thanks Suzanne! I'm constantly amazed at the ability of animals to adapt to new opportunities in their environment.
