I feel like going 2x RB in the 1st 4 picks depending on where you draft can be a good strat. It's much easier to find WRs who can give you good production than RBs these days.

Agreed. Lamb and Hill both finished well above the 2nd best RB in my standard league. Can’t imagine the separation in PPR

I got CMC with the 8th pick last year and Amon Ra in the 8th round in an 8 team league.
Out of curiousity, why is it standard for passing touchdowns to count less than rushing touchdowns? Why reward a QB sneak, but discount a passing touchdown. As commisioner of my league, I bump passing TD backup to 6 so someone a true passing quarterback is not punished because he throws a TD, instead of running it in.
Tua/Dak/Purdy/etc with 3 passing TDs: 12 points
Hurts/Allen/etc 2 rushing TD: 12 points
Why should these be the same when one guy literally scored an entire extra touchdown for his team? I was just thinking of this during the Tua conversation.
I believe the original scoring models were to have relative parity between positional scoring. Even with 4 point TDs, QBs score more than other positions. There was a time where the QB landscape was quite flat - most QBs were pocket passers and most of them had similar floors. QBs will score more TDs than any other position, so valuing their scores at the same rate as others would place an outlier premium on QBs, which could create weird valuations after the elite tier at each position.
As far as the modern game goes, I am firmly in favour of PPR, 6 point passing TDs. I think these two in conjunction level out drafts and team building questions in more interesting - and relevant - ways than the classic models.

I don't know where they are getting the stats on Tua Tagovailoa from. According to Yahoo Standard scoring, he finished as QB9. He only scored 10 fewer fantasy points than Mahomes last year.

Hello. Which 1 of this grouping shall I keep; Montgomery in 6th, Reed in 15th orr Ford in 17th? Already keeping Collins in 9th. It’s A 12 team FULL ppr league which starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, FLEX (RB, WR), TE & DST with about 18-24 total keepers, only can keep 2. Thanks A bunch!

Everyone talks about draft capital. The truth is your drafted team will be 50-60% in tact at the end of you're lucky. If you took pitts over chubb last year that was a W but nonone would do that, point is in round 8 come on

@@krisanthony5228 I dunno 'bout that. He looked like he was enjoying life pretty good on this vid. And he' didn't say don't take Hill, he was just suggesting he was going to avoid him as a top 3 pick, but would take him at 4+ and be all over him if he fell to him at 1.07 ADP.

I took kyren williams and Jerome ford in two different two leagues with my 15-27 round picks and won both leagues. RBs go down get good rookie handcuff
Tyreek was WR#2 last year and missed a game and a half...would've likely surpassed 2000 receiving yards if not for the missed time. Absolutely ridiculous to avoid him. Tua is attached to him, and finished as QB#9 last year. He's also being drafted in round 10-11 as qb 15. How in the world would you avoid that kind of value 😂
I 100% agree with the Achane take tho. He's my choice for biggest bust this year due to his ADP
KIttle led all tight end in yards per target and rec while having a career year. I hope someone in my league takes Engram or Mcbride over him
The fact these guys try to sell you on buying an RB in the first couple rounds is ridiculous. RBs don’t win you championships. WR’s have the high floor in PPR.
But not all leagues are PPR. Additionally, there's so few elite running backs that if you can get one that can run and catch, then that's a big step above your competition. The rules of your league dictate some of your draft strategy
Watch because I was curious what ESPN guys know about fantasy. Saying to avoid the WR1 (Tyreek) and TE1 (Trav) is hilarious. Tyreek could easily be #1 overall and Kelce will probably be TE1 with a discounted rate this year.
Totally wrong on kelce. Laporta goes a full round ahead of Kelce. He goes ahead of Kelce in every single paid draft that I've done. If you can get Kelce in round 3, you take him.

No you haven't. You've done 200 MOCK drafts. There is a huge difference. I've done 50 PAID drafts, between best ball, redraft, and dynasty. Paid drafts ALWAYS go much different than mock drafts

Tua definitely didn’t win you a Super Bowl, he may have helped secure a good record to make playoffs, but he was one of the worst starting qbs the 2nd half of the year, scoring less points than some tight ends. Know what you’re talking about before commenting
