One of the best electric guitar songsof of all time
Ya
hey Marty I think it would be cool to make a playlist of iconic riffs
I agree Trevor!
How about some Sweet Emotion riffs seeing as Joe Perry is very ill..............Paleaseeeee!
good to see you back marty
thinking of getting a new guitar my current is epiphone sg300 thinking of getting a cheap les paul what would u recommend ?
Dope I have the LP white and black pg Studio....I like it very much
It's amazing to me when you hear a song and you think it's way out of your league then once you learn it it opens up so many doors on the fretboard I can take what I've learned from this song and make a infinite amount of riffs . Thank you
I totally agree, and with every learned riff it expands my knowledge of the board! thanks For the great videos!! I still being older beginner read theory books. I love knowing why!
Agreed! Helps me understand scales and all sorts of patterns! Never finish learning!
Agreed! Helps me understand scales and all sorts of patterns! Never finish learning!
dude i know right!! i learned the opening riff of master of puppets and did the same thing with those chords and realize its the same chords used in iron man , also where did u sleep lastnight i changed up alot which is fun
I was searching for how to play Black Dog on guitar and I was like "I hope Marty has a video." Awesome.
thats me whenever i want to learn something ; )
Me too. Marty is the man
Thats how i am whenever i look up how to learn any song
Hey Marty
You’re a great teacher! As a high school teacher, I have high pedagogic standards... and I’ve seem so many poor lessons on line... I can always count on you to help me learn new tunes, work on my horrible leads, and help me add life to songs I already play. You’re the best.
Thank you so much for your lessons.
I play guitar and I've been playing now for almost 38 years now and I love the way you show people how to play songs like this one 👍
Thanks for your acknowledging !!! I'll be watching for more 👍🎸🤠
You taught me my first song, Across the Universe, so glad you're back.
Most badass guitar riff of all time.
Thanks Marty can’t believe you have got me playing songs by the mighty Led Zeppelin
Glad you like them!
Alright Marty, this like the 22nd song I've learned from you, you've earned this bell. Keep doing your thing
Good teacher. Thank you.
The funky time signatures and polyrhythms of Zeppelin songs might be infuriating if they weren’t so rewarding to master. Thanks for another one, Marty. Wish I’d learned this sooner!
I've been all over the place with your vids,
Starting with your basic chords and still can't stop learning stuff from you. You deserve to be the #1 tube teacher.
crazy how you can learn an iconic song in 15 minutes. Great vid marty, always will be my #1 guitar channel
Marty you and Jimmy are absolute bad asses
Cheers Marty picked this up in 10 mins, your teaching has helped me loads, especially when I reached a learning Plateau where I kept playing the same stuff and not getting any better. These little how to vids help loads when your having trouble picking something out yourself and your self taught.
This is the way to learn play get your speed up then follow the rhythm excellent work Marty thanks.
20 minuttes and i was playing this, as a Newbie, great guide Marty!!!!!!
Same bro and im just learning since 3 months.Marty is a great teacher.
I mastered this on my first day bro! 😃👍🏻
@@JFresh1520 ok then i have depression
@@JFresh1520 bullshit
Shirtless youtube photo, very interesting indeed
Man this riff rocks
Been trying to learn this song this weekend. Its the hammer on part im stuck on. I knew marty would have a video
Marty, you f....ng rip, I am so happy I stumbled onto your tutorials, you are a great tutor, you make it so easy for me
Big recommend for those of you who can't focus on sing and playing at the same time. This is one of the only song I can think of where the notes and vocals are pretty much completely separate.
Big downside is... Your singing Robert Plant. So good luck with that.
hahahah so tru bro
Icky thump by the white stripes is similar, honestly most of their songs are that way
Marty, again thank you so much for all your lessons and thank you for breaking it down slowly and clearly with repetition so that it is more accessible to beginners- too many lessons go way too fast and are not detailed enough
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for all effort you do for us
Marty this is so helpul
Your using easy techniques on this song
Yeah Marty, this is the 8th song that I've learned from you and I really like the way you explain each part and slow it down enough to see each note. I grew playing by ear, kinda lol, really it was rewinding a cassette tape over and over or moving the needle back and back on an album. I see people in the comments complaining about this and that. They don't realize just how good they have it with the technology they have these days..
Great how you made an iconic and what sounds difficult riff easily understandable in 10 minutes, you are a master.
Thanks Marty you’re the best. Bonus scat lesson too 1:23
Merci Marty.
I'am a old french guitarist (62 years).
It's a great pleasure to learn this song.
I was a young man when I listened to her for the first time.
Thank you very much.
Marty is the best! Ive learned so much from his lessons. Best lessons on youtube by far!
Having adhd as I do this was a real test of my patience This is a major accomplishment in
My life this is the first song I've learned in its entirety it took me 6 months to finally get it all down learning this song has helped me train my ear for music something I did not have at all as well as helping me with finger placement and speed when I started I didn't realize some say it's one of the hardest songs to learn I almost gave up a few times but I was determined to see it through without you and your step by step instructions this would of never been possible your the best thank you so very much for time and your ability to teach in a manner that let me break through my disability of not being able to retain information side note one thing that helped me was slowing the speed of the video down on the last two sections, wish I'd of thought of that 6 months ago you rock 🎸thanks again
Who the f gives a thumbs down? Like nope you didn't take enough time out of your life to give something away for free. I swear
Those are the weebs that can't play it
his intro is sloppy and some notes dont fit imho
@Bryan Purvis he doesn't play it better though... if he did, Jimmy Page would be in his place dumbass.
He plays some parts over and over but frustratingly, doesn't slow down to show how he plays each note.
You gotta understand that there will be dislikes on any given video no matter what (popular videos)
If you think he's playing sloppy its because you aren't imagining Bonhams laid back but precise drumming. They are playing separate but together. That's why they are great.
I love the top on that guitar
very nice lesson. Thank you!
learned this in under an hour how beautifully executed Marty
Love that guitar colour
Finally learning this 7 months into my guitar journey! Going well so far!
You’re the best. Thanks for rekindling my youth & love of my guitars.
Underrated guitar teacher. Well done, Marty
Marty your teaching me well I have been working on your iron man lesson 2 weeks now I'm up to the solo ..this may be my next song on guitar ..I'm understanding scales and the way you teach is amazing
How cool that Marty Music plays it ,I whish that Marty Schwartz played it, would be just splendid
Way to spread the music! You are making the world a better place. The sign of a well lived life!
I really appreciate that very much Paul! Thanks for following me and supporting my own project here "MartyMusic"
Thanks Marty...ive been trying to get that timimg tricky part for a long time now...tabs didnt help...other videos didnt help...but yours did...i got...
I’m gonna give this a 10
Great tone
This is an amazing lesson man. I was able to sit down and learn the first 2 parts in one night, I'm gonna sit down and learn the rest tonight. I like the way you break these licks down, it makes it simple, but also keeps the important technical details.
Marty, you're a CARD, haha, on TOP of being a Riff Master, a GREAT guitar teacher, and a Blessing to all of us, who are in SYNC, with your choice of GREAT musical tastes!..
EVERY TIME, I think of an incredible song from my past, that I want more Details ON, SURE ENOUGH, there's MARTY, at the TOP of the list on UA-cam, for a lesson!.. You're the BEST, bro!
You are the one person I try to find when learning a songs' base riff

Thank you Marty!
This is an excellent lesson to start your love of blues
Marty, you are an absolutely fantastic instructor. Your lessons are so clear, so well-paced, so relaxed and so helpful! THANK YOU so much!
Welcome back Marty! I would love to see some lessons on something like "intentional noodling" If that makes sense? I love it when a player sits down and can noodle on the guitar but you can still hear the chord changes in their noodling. Help me get there! Thanks!
Marty is a living legend
lol i'm finally getting good enough to start playing this stuff, thanks marty
Great song, and it was pretty easy to learn. I definately recommend this tutorial. Thanks Marty for another great lesson
Shredding bro

first of all great work as always Marty....What an astonishingly beautiful Gibson Les Paul. !!!!!!!!
I know this video is 5 years ago. But it's a goody!! You rock Marty. I always found this riff hard for me, unlike The Ocean; which I found so much easier than Black Dog. But your video helped me so much because your teaching skills related to me. Thanks!!
This was my dream song to learn on guitar and now you've taught me it😀thx!!!!!!! More Led Zep 😃🤟😁keep rocking marty
Zeppelin 4 Ever!
Yep
Mr.Miyagi at it again... Much respect for always imparting the knowledge so effectively... Big Ups Marty!
Hey Marty! I've been following you in your process of learning the internet some great guitar stuff for a long time now and you are a big inspiration. You thought me my first songs on the guitar and you are still capable of showing me new things every day! See you on the rockstage some day! Peace out and ROCK & ROLL BABY!!!
Absolutely nail this Marty!!!! Your a genius, too. Thanks for all your hard work
You're the best! Thanks.
Thanks Marty. Brilliant as always. Been playing less than a year and never dreamt I’d even be thinking about trying to play Black Dog! Love your tutorials
Just started picking up guitars again after many years of piano focus -these are right on the money, thanks marty!
Rocking a Midnight Sun brewery tee! One more reason to love Marty.
Thank you man tried the tab and gave up straight away tried this and I succeed quick. It is also very fun to play. Much love
This is a great riff! I just posted a video about my favorite Zeppelin riff, if you like Whole Lotta Love you should check it out!
nice right hand that's what I liked what you were doing your picking hand that would be a good lesson r hand techniques. you were alternating you in sync you held the pick well I want to learn that or I have been working on my right hand picking...Roland
Thanks Marty!
Nice guitar, Marty
One of the songs where the main riff is simply easy but the solo is extremely difficult.
Thanks Marty, whenever I need to learn a tune I look you up. No messing about - always sounds right
You are a damn good teacher, one of the best. Thank you.
Another lesson on a legendary song complete! Thanks Marty!!
Thanks Marty. I really appreciate your instructions. You play the songs right.
Just a question. Instead of playing the 7 fret on the low E, why not just play the open A string? Loving this lesson.
Get the Led out!!! Haha, thanks Marty. You're one of the best teachers on UA-cam! I own ALL your lessons (for those who haven't, buy them)! PS, just bought a GLP Standard 50's, and the JP Dragon Tele; ohh yeah...getting the LED OUT! 🎸🐲
So simple yet so addictive
Awesome to have you back! If your taking request, "It's late" by Queen or "Band on the Run" by the Wings.
Thanks Ben! I'm so glad to be back!
yer no.1 70's rock riff brought me here! Thanks Marty
